Alertness

“Stupid basis! You have to show her affection, like she loves you so much!”

Just as Askelan blew a rude swearing at just anyone, how could her mother judge if Lintani loved her so much? That means the act worked!

“Good, I'll drop him off next time.”

Next to the room, Jordan approached Lintani and patted her on the shoulder.

“Why are you crying, Miss?”

“Jordan, is Mr Askel with Mom?”

“Ya.”

“Why is Mom so weak? I don't want to lose him. Why didn't he want to talk when I was inside, why? Must be the doctor saying something to you guys, right?”

Jordan is confused, the problem is he sees that Elliyat is fine. Indeed, the doctor said there was failure during chemotherapy. The woman had experienced a drop as well, but now it has been handled well.

“What are you talking to him about, Miss?”

“I give him the spirit to survive and live longer, he must be strong if he wants to see his grandson born!”

Jordan held back a laugh and Lintani thought that the man was mocking her.

“I mean it, isn't Haifa pregnant, and it's her grandson, it's Mr. Askel's son! I said just so that she would recover soon let alone tomorrow she should see us married.”

“Alright, then.” For a moment Jordan was pensive, he got up from that corner and walked while thinking if there was a misunderstanding there, where Elliyat wanted that the one who was pregnant was Lintani.

Jordan is already investigating who Lintani is, she's a girl born from Rasevan, a small town surrounded by lakes thousands of miles from Hill town. He was made the younger brother of Haifa since he was in elementary school and he was only nine years old.

Jordan and his friends do not know exactly what caused Lintani to be with the Lux family. Because the whereabouts of his parents and other brothers are unknown, they are like lost in the earth.

The local government did not know any child named Lintani Syahrain came from there. All members of the Syahrain family are known to have died in a storm at the turn of the season about eleven years ago.

According to some witnesses, some of Lux's neighbors, said that Lintani lived in comfort. Only one thing that feels strange to his neighbors and school friends, if Lintani becomes a very quiet child and hates people in clown costumes.

Her beauty far outstrips Haifa's, so much that Lux's family often hides her and, if she ever leaves the house, she's never dressed properly, there's just a weird costume she wears, and overdressed.

Jordan finds Lintani's bag left behind in the restaurant some time ago, in the phone he finds no meaningful information, no contact or text from anyone except from the Lux family. Also a photo of a woman hugging a child.

It goes against the confessions of some neighbors, all the messages and some recordings of calls from Rauja and Lux, on the phone, are very rude. That means that, Lintani, the beautiful girl experienced violence in her life. Until now, Jordan has not been able to ascertain the truth unless he hears firsthand the expression of what happens if these two women, namely Haifa and Lintani, face each other.

Unfortunately, every time these two girls meet and there is a conflict, Jordan does not accompany Askelan.

Lintani quits her tears and she is about to return to the gurney where Elliyat is lying, but she crosses paths with Askelan. He ignored her and walked past the man, but at once his hand was pulled until he almost fell down and Askelan held his back.

Seeing that, Jordan immediately moved away and only looked from a distance.

“Where are you going?” Askelan said while releasing her handrails.

“Taking a Look at Mom!” He said and stood up straight again.

“Of course not.”

“Then, go!”

“But, I haven't spoken anything to him!”

“No need, just leave you from here, I don't want him to say anything weird to you!”

Of course Askelan did not want her mother, again encouraging Lintani to have a baby soon.

“Something weird like what, you mean?”

Askelan did not answer and she pulled Lintani's hand to leave the place.

Askelan leads Lintani to the brick press and as Lintani descends, Jordan and Askelan's vigilance increases, there are even some cues from Jordan's chin movement.

“Hurry up there, Miss!” said Jordan.

“Good, thank you for driving me!” lintani.

After that Jordan immediately turned his car around. Leaving behind Lintani who was still astonished by their attitude.

Conversation in the car.

“What Master, feel it?”

“Ya!”

“You should not get off the car that time!”

Askelan was silent when Jordan protested his decision to take Lintani away that night, but Petra was with him. The man couldn't bear to see Lintani along with the other man. Her feelings say if the girl is the real wife she really wants to protect. He himself was astonished by the instinct that suddenly appeared and demanded him to bring the girl over.

Petra is harmless, but her female cousin is Mork's wife, the man Jordan killed. His uncle is Dex Barseba, a man who has had a bad story between Yardo and Elliyat in the past. Besides, Dex's wife is Yardo's younger brother. It's like a coincidence.

Formerly, Dex was friends with Makra, he was the one who helped his rival to overthrow Askelan. It is no coincidence that the wife of Makra is descended from the grandfather of Petra's mother.

Petra was one of the people who preferred to wear her mother's surname rather than her father's surname, because Baseba's name was funny.

Noul Barseba and Petra are one person who has a regular business, unlike his other brothers and cousins until Askelan and Jordan assume it doesn't matter if Lintani works there. However, they still have to increase alertness.

Suddenly someone smothered Lintani from behind him!
