Chapter 5. A Kara

After Eight Years

 

 

She was forced to allow the guards, but, after an examination of Lintani's baby. The doctor requested that the baby be treated until the heat and the shock subsided.

After a few days, it was not the healing that Lintani met, but the death that she received. The baby closed his eyes, just as the medics were about to give him a liquid medicine that directly injected his stomach greetings.

It was a heartwarming incident, before the baby closed his eyes, he gave his mother a very sweet smile. As if the baby could say.

“Mother, relax, I don't want to grow up and witness the violence you have to endure in prison. Your burden will be heavier if I'm still around. Ma'am, we will meet again in heaven, even if our meeting and separation now is real. So, I'll be an invisible wing but rest assured that we're together.”

Lintani could not hold back her tears as she told Eliat everything, all the other prisoners listened for a moment, but then they sneered at each other with scathing reproach.

“It's better, because your son doesn't deserve to live!”

“Ya right! His mother a bully must be his son too, so, it's better that he die!”

“He will be noisy at night, so indeed he better be gone!”

“I think he pity his mother!”

“Ah, essentially the baby does not want to live with the woman who lives in prison!”

“Shut up all of you!” said Eliat suddenly became a defender for Lintani and the two of them re-hugged each other.

Losing the baby that he just gave up, made Lintani again feel a piece of kara. Yes, even though Eliat was very kind to him at this time, but, someday they would be separated as well and no one knew if they would ever meet again.

That's how they live life in prison sharing power and knowledge. Eliat is really like a mother who teaches her children a lot, because they have a dependence on one and the other.

Before Eliat was released, he taught him many of his knowledge and ingenuity such as how to cook a good meal, teaching Lintani about doing business, etc, including designing images until the girl has skills even though only learning with simple tools and ways.

Lintani walks into the courtyard of the Lux family home, as soon as she gets off the bus that was dropping her off. He was released from prison and determined to break his relationship. But in fact, now he was standing right at the door of their house.

“What are you here for? Go you recidivist girl, stink!” haifa's voice so loudly snapped at Lintani who was in the middle of the open door.

If in front of many people, Haifa would not dare to be so rude because she was an artist who was notoriously meek and calm and innocent, such was her identity in the entertainment world.

“I want to collect your debt!” lintani.

“What debt?” Suddenly Rauja, Haifa's mother came forward and glared at Lintani. The three women stood facing each other in front of the door of the mansion of the Luxor family residence.

“Give me the address where my mom lives!” lintani Pinta.

Lintani was surprised, how did he have to pay such a debt? All the school and food costs they have been using are the result of their own efforts. He was begging every day at the mall where socialites gather. He obeyed all their orders for the money he had to deposit with Rauja.

It made no sense that he would have to pay for the replacement money he had been looking for himself. Even the family enjoyed it!

“Today I've been looking for that money myself! You guys enjoyed it too, right?” Lintani strongly denied.

The family is like not wanting to lose in raising him, even though they have a lot of money, they still love if they have to spend it for the needs of Lintani and her school.

“Do you think enough is enough? Huh!” Rauja dodged with ketus.

“Bu, let him calculate for himself the cost of his expensive residence and school!” Sela Haifa with spoiled.

“Alright, your mother didn't give us a dime! So, you also have to pay rent for eleven years!” Rauja said with a grin.

“Are you crazy, how much should I pay for it?” lintani said annoyed.

“Fifty million! If you can't pay us, don't expect you to get your mother's address!” sahut Rauja pongah's.

Hearing the amount of money Rauja mentioned, not only was Lintani stunned but, Haifa too. That's a lot of money for the size of a guy like him. How did he get 50 million dollars? Maybe he should pay them his whole life.

“I replaced Haifa that night, I was already in jail, are you guys less satisfied too? I even lost my son! Didn't Master Lux promise, if I get out of jail, he'll give me what I want! Where is Mr Lux now?” lintani asks him to try to get in, but the Lux family's mother and son get in the way.

While he was in prison, Luxor once came to Lintani, and the man promised to grant his wish after he finished serving his term. Even the man praised him for following his orders, going to the log cabin on the hillside to replace Haifa.

“What? Have you given birth to a baby? So you've been pregnant?” Rauja asked like a fool.

“Bu, then, in my opinion, there is nothing he can do but make money again!” Haifa said while advancing her chin.

“I don't want to obey you!” Lintani said as she crossed her hands in front of her chest. “Alright then, we break even. I won't ask for my mother's address nor will I have to pay my debt!”

Suddenly Haifa made her heart at her mother with a sweet attitude. He spoke while rubbing his eyes repeatedly

“Mother, we have a new drink and we need people to comment, how about Lin alone tasting?” haifa.

Rauja looked lazily at Lintani and Haifa in turn, then grinned. He knew the crafty plans and tactics of his son's words. They would make Lintani so aroused and throw her into the streets. After that they will wait for the striped man who will pick up and pay for it then, they will take the money.

Lintani knows what kind of rotten plan will bring her into another agony, but she keeps waiting and seeing what other games she will play this time.

“Wait a minute,” Rauja said as she stepped up and took out a glass filled with juice then put something else in it. When he finished, he grinned and went back to his house to see Lintani again.

“Minum, this is our creation? Comeing! Tell me what you think?” rauja said kindly.

Lintani received the glass that was given to her, and drank it a little but she did not swallow, just wet her lips. He frowned a little and said, “maybe you have to add sugar again, okay, ma'am, we agreed, right? I'll go.” Lintani turned around as she spoke, but Haifa blocked her hand nimbly.
