The Broken Door

“Yes, I know him!” haifa.

“Hmm ...” Askelan.

“Askel, Darling. She's the girl I told you about, she's my shameless foster sister and threw herself in the streets, looking for a striped-nose man!”

“Really?” askelan said, since then the gaze of his eyes did not switch from Lintani's face.

Haifa nodded, “Ya, she does it every night!” while saying, he looked up at Askelan's face which turned out to be staring at Lintani with a hard to interpret look. Realizing that, he clenched both of his hands.

“Darling, I'm hungry! I'm afraid our son is starving.” Haifa said as she pulled Askelan's hand to rub her flat stomach.

Instantly the man lowered his head and looked at Haifa's stomach then, nodding.

“Didn't you eat at the party?” he asked as he removed Haifa's grip from his wrist, as if disgusted.

“No, I was nauseous earlier. So, I didn't eat anything.”

Haifa's reply made Askelan furrow her brows, she was present at Kamoora's family party earlier, but she did not approach the girl at all. He was not happy if it was close to him that would definitely be spoiled. More precisely Haifa could not shake her longing for the girl in the log cabin. The fragrant aroma of the blend of lilies and spruce leaves that he breathed at that time, could not be forgotten until now.

However, Askelan meets Haifa, in front of the hotel where Jordan took her. Back then, she had just woken up after exhaustion brought out the medicinal effects by blending love in the car, with a clown-faced woman.

At that moment he saw a girl with the same clown face, who turned out to be Haifa. The woman cried and asked if Askelan was a man who was in the log cabin? Of course the man admitted it, so did Haifa admit something similar. That was until finally Askelan asked him to be her lover.

But strangely enough, whenever he came close to her, Askelan could never shake the disgust of every girl who approached him. Like that has always happened since eight years ago, he always nauseated if hugging or adjacent to other women, he only missed the woman for many years.

“Askel Darling, are you listening?” haifa asked again to disperse Askelan's memories of the incident a month ago, when she first met Haifa.

Askelan took out a large sum of money from her wallet and gave it to Haifa.

“Buy a lot of food for our child,” said Askelan, making Haifa become grim.

Haifa's wish was to go alone with a dashing man, named Askelan, in order to make Lintani jealous half to death. He wants to show her if her boyfriend is the most powerful man in Hill town and no one can underestimate him, what else is Lintani.

While Lintani just kept silent to see how good the drama that was airing in front of his eyes. He saw two liars in action. The man is the one who does not want to confess if there is a legitimate wife nearby while the woman lies by saying if the other person is the woman of the night. It's a sad drama.

“Do you not want to accompany me?” haifa asked as she struggled spoiled on Askelan's arm, but once again the man let go of his embrace.

“No, I'm full. I ate a lot in with Lowena Kamoora.” Askelan said guiltlessly, though, her words seemed to trap Haifa because she knew that Lowena was the host of the Kamoora party whereas, at the party she ate a lot of roasted meat.

“Are you also present at the party? Why don't you come near me?” Haifa asked as if she did not know if Askelan had really caught her lying self, but she unabashedly accepted the money given by the man.

“I was only invited to eat in the private room, so I don't know if he's in the middle of pasta or not!” sahut Askelan made Haifa nervousness decrease.

Then Askelan simply requested that Haifa return to her car and go home, having bought a lot of food and the girl complied. He left while glancing at Lintani hatefully.

Actually Haifa wanted the girl to leave when Askelan appeared earlier, but, on the other hand she also wanted to show how great a lover she had to Lintani.

After Haifa and her mother left Lintani turned to Askelan while taking one step further away from her.

Girl said, “Mr Askel, what if I told you I was hungry, you would also give me money?”

Askelan turned her head and looked at Lintani from head to toe, and said, “Where are you from, ha?” he assumes Lintani will not starve if only stay at his mother's house.

“You said yourself that we will not interfere in personal matters, right? So, why are you asking?”

“You ask, why did I ask?” ask Askelan looks annoyed.

“Ya!”

“Well, if you want to be like that, then I really won't care about you!”

After saying so, Askelan walked towards her car, leaving Lintani just like that

The girl snorted as she turned her gaze away while her lips smiled faintly, she knew that the man would definitely be acting that way to her. He was not surprised and walked quickly to the apartment. It has already taken almost half of his time off, before tomorrow he will have to return to Villa fresh.

Jordan went down to block Lintani's steps, while opening the rear car door, where Askelan sat quietly leaning quietly.

“Come on, our Miss is one way, right? So, don't be shy. I'll guarantee your security next to Mister!” The man said as if hinting something at Askelan.

Lintani did not answer and just turned to her husband who was silent. The man did not look at him but looked at the window as if he did not care. Upon seeing that there was no reaction from the man, Lintani assumed that Askelan would allow him to go in and sit next to her.

It's not too far from there to their apartment until there's nothing to talk about. The awkward atmosphere was not too long because a few minutes later, Jordan had pulled his car over in the apartment building yard. He opened the door for Askelan while Lintani went down by herself and walked alone to the front door of the apartment.

Jordan does not go up and deliver Askelan to the door of the apartment, as usual because there is Lintani there until he deliberately gave distance to them.

When Askelan arrived at the door he saw Lintani was still busy pairing access cards to open doors that were not open.

Askelan bowed to align her body with Lintani who was still trying to open the door. The man spoke right in his ear in a low voice but sounded mocking.

“Well, you haven't managed to open the door yet? Is this door not going to open for you or is it already broken?”

Lintani immediately straightened her back then looked at Askelan in surprise.

The girl furrowed her brows and said, looking at her card with an innocent look as if she was thinking hard. That facial expression looked funny in Askelan's eyes.

“Busted?” Said Lintani, “then, what if it is broken, can a door like this be broken?”

“No!” askelan said while holding a smile, she faced Lintani and both her hands were in her pants pocket while shaking her head. “If this one door is broken then one building must be destroyed to fix it!”

“Truely, is it that bad? You're not lying, are you?”

“Yes, of course I'm not lying. So, you have to take responsibility because this door can't be opened!”

For a moment Lintani saw a thin grin on the corner of Askelan's lips until she concluded that this man was working on her. He suddenly recalled his past when he was being bullied so much, how stupid of all that stuff.

“Do you think I'm stupid, it's impossible to justify one door having to destroy one building, right?”

Askelan chuckled at the end.

“If you know and feel you're smart, why can't you open it from earlier? Look!”

Lintani tried to remember how she was able to open the door when she left this morning, she did not notice.

Askelan grabbed the card that was in Lintani's hand then, wagged it, while saying, “So it's wrong, you put it upside down.”

Lintani was surprised because he had also been flipping around with different positions, but still the door did not want to open.

“Ah! You must be pranking me, huh?” Lintani said while shaking her index finger.

Askelen smiled as she saw the cute smile that adorned Lintani's lips at this time and, was guessing if she was being bullied.

“Are you happy that I fucked you?” ask Askelan.

Lintani sneers, “Ah! Of course not!” he said while pouting, “ayo! Open door!”

Askelan did not open the door and only played the card since then, even though she had said that she put her cards in reverse.

“You have to pay me if I can open the door, okay?”

“What can I pay you, you already have everything and I have no money, please .. hurry up I want a quick break, I'm tired!”

“There's nothing you can do!”
