Mother's Choice Woman
Chapter 34. Moving forward One Step Means

Moving Forward One Step Means You're Betting Your Life

Lintani shouted from where she stood, but, there was no welcome whatsoever, from inside that room whose door opened slightly as if it was being moved by the wind.

“Master! It's yours left behind, who knows you need it! Can I come in?” lintani said as she brandished the gold-colored debit card.

“Alright, I'm leaving! I left this card on the table! Okay?” lintani said again while turning around.

However, the door of the room moved by the wind was like luring him to enter and see the contents. After all, he would ask, about his words while defending Haifa that, they had business. What kind of business? He knows that a lover defends the woman he loves, but he hopes Askelan is not blind!

Lintani walks into Askelan's room slowly, she keeps her kit bag outside and only carries the Gold card with her. After his body was inside, his gaze revolved to see the state of the room that did not have a single decoration, even impressed simple and boring.

The room was very spacious as it could be used to play volleyball. A few steps from the door, Lintani noticed there was a large nightstand filled with many drawers and several parts of cabinets of various sizes. Maybe as a secret storage item inside.

Not far from it there is a bed that is no less wide than the bed in his room, equipped with a small table beside him. There was a single sofa by the window and two other sofas by the bed, a television wide enough to stick to the wall. All the furniture there is white.

Lintani swung one step and suddenly the door of the room was instantly closed violently. He was startled and, turning around while trying to reopen but, to no avail. The girl was trapped inside.

Uh! Damnit damnit! The panic began to take hold as he tried, with all his might to reopen the door but in vain, to make him tired. Lintani stepped closer to one of the sofas wanting to sit there. However, just then also came an echoing voice that appeared out of nowhere.

“Move one more step, then you will lose your life!” it was a sound similar to Askelan's but heavier.

“Mr Askel! It's me, Lin! I'll just return your card!” lintani. His voice sounded trembling with fear, while brandishing the card as if the man he was calling was in front of him.

His knees began to tremble. A cold sweat poured down from his forehead and he continued to tread in an indeterminate direction. His heart raced so fast, as if he was running a marathon thousands of miles from the city of Hiis to the city of Proach. His palm was already wet as he was about to keep the card on the nightstand. However, as soon as he touched the side of the object made of wood, suddenly one of the drawers opened and a sharp knife slid from there.

Instantly Lintani took one step back, with her heart seemingly stopped beating, she was again startled. Was that what was floating so fast? Her thought.

Wush! It was a moving knife, flying past Lintani's chest and head very quickly then, stuck it in the ceiling of the room. The girl looked up, to see where the knife was stuck, as soon as the walls of the room turned a horrible blood red. There was a piece of writing appearing there that was clearly a warning.

“You're lucky to be alive now because if you move once more, then, you can be sure you'll be wiped out!”

Reading the inscription, as Lintani grew more limp and her body decayed to the floor, she knelt down crying and clenched her hands together in front of her chest.

“Mr Askel! Really, I didn't mean bad!” lintani said, now her body was curled up on the floor like a thirsty little fox in the cold snow desert, her face wet and her hair that was originally neat, became messy.

He once attempted to end his life as a defendant, for a murder case he never committed. However, at the same time she knew there was one life in her womb so she decided to live to survive at all costs for the sake of her baby.

However, now different, he still wants to live to see Elliyat happy, until the end of his life. He did not want to die in vain in the trap of Askelan's room. Although, now she knew why the man had never taken her to the room despite having slept together. All of that was due to the room bringing havoc.

In the room that was supposed to be the resting place, it could turn as a slaughterhouse if not Askelan himself who entered it.

The door was designed by Askelan with full calculation. It can be opened from the outside, just by pushing. However, it would be closed automatically and, unable to be reopened easily, unless, the person entered with Askelan.

That man has many enemies. Therefore he did not let anyone else, entering his room just like that until he kept, many traps inside to create fear.

Meanwhile, in a large warehouse filled with various unused items, Askelan and Jordan are dealing with three men, who once held Lintani last night.

The three men are Dex's men who want to make sure who Lintani is to Askelan. It is very important to know the weaknesses of men who become enemies while in battle.

Dex had known for a long time that Haifa was the woman's lover to his wife's niece, but, when he did the same, Askelan did not intervene on her own to deal with it but told the aides to release her.

However, when Petra finds out about Lintani when they accidentally meet at a cafe. Dex knows better who he'll be targeting if he gets pushed around, or Askelan threatens him.

So, he did not really aim to eliminate the girl while keeping Lintani on the road to the factory.

“What if we cooperate?” ask Askelan after hearing the confession of the three men. Not without coercion they want to confess but after the coercion of the two men in various ways. Their bodies were already severely injured even just to talk was difficult.

Askelan sat down while crossing her legs and folding her hands in front of her chest, looking at the men she hated with a smoldering look.

Askelan's question made Jordan a little surprised, usually he was lazy to deal with small things like this. He would rather finish off small men like them.

“What you want Sir, we will follow your will, just forgive our lives.”

“Alright, you must die!”
