Chapter 74 - The Different Sides

On the other side....

It was at Osaka airport, where the nuclear missile exploded....

'Krruuukkk! The krettakk! Bruukk!'

The pile of rocks was seen moving. As if there was something behind it.

After a while, the ruins began to shift and fell to the side. Showing the figure behind it.

His body seemed to be full of burns all over his body, until his entire skin had peeled off. Shows the muscle and meat behind it.

'Stamp!'

The mysterious figure appears to be stepping its legs. Just one step away, but he had begun to lose his balance and fell to the ground.

Just like the rest of his body, his head also suffered such extreme injuries.

Almost all the skin and muscles on his face were burned. Showing a little bone behind it. Both of his eyes had been destroyed earlier. Leave only his eye sockets.

Amidst this sea of fire from nuclear explosions, the mysterious figure continuously crawled. It slowly leads to the beach.

It's so far away. And it can be ascertained, the chance of the figure successfully reaching the beach is close to 0%. That too, if the figure could survive in the middle of this sea of fire and also nuclear radiation.

Which should....

No human can survive in it.

But the figure kept crawling.

Slowly, his movements got faster. Moments later, the mysterious figure stopped crawling and started to stand up.

Walk slowly even if his body is full of burns.

"Yetoo...." Say the mysterious figure.

He can't talk at all. Almost all of his organs suffered such fatal damage.

Looking at his current figure alone, he should be able to fall and die at any time. However, his footsteps grew steadily.

His body is getting stronger too.

And little by little, the yellow-colored flames began to slowly wrap around his body. A thin and also gentle flame, began to heal his body.

His severed arm, slowly began to grow back.

Similarly, the part of his muscle that has been peeled off also begins to regenerate.

His entire body continued to regenerate along with his footsteps in this sea of flames.

Until finally, the mysterious figure started running. His speed continued to increase with time. While the destination still leads to the beach in the distance.

'Swuuusshh!'

The flame blanket that was on his body started to enlarge. Accelerated the regeneration throughout his body.

From his head, his hair began to grow back slowly. The long, red-colored hair grew rapidly until it reached along his back.

His face as well, both of his eyes that had been lost were beginning to grow back. Replace the new eyes.

The skin all over his body began to grow and covered that inside of his body once again.

In just less than an hour, the mysterious figure had perfectly restored his entire body. Showing his true figure, which is none other than the Akane.

He walked towards the beach without having a cloth to cover his body.

Not that there are others who can still survive after being hit by the nuclear explosion. Makes Akane not at all worried about any condition of his body at this time.

"Well.... Just be right. A nuclear? You guys still have guns like that?" Akane complains that now stands right in front of the beach.

The gentle sea waves seemed to rinse both feet slowly.

Enjoying the calm atmosphere with the sea of fire in the distance, Akane again noticed this Osaka region once again.

"I don't think there will be anything that survives? Alright. Doesn't matter. I'm going back to the secondary base in Hyogo." Akane said to herself as she walked along the beach.

Occasionally, he appears to play his footsteps while kicking some of the items in front of him.

While his right hand continued to play fire on his fingers with a feeling that looked so happy.

Making anyone who saw Akane's current figure wonder.

Is he still in the same race as man?

Then, was the nuclear explosion just now not a big deal to him?

Hyogo, Japan.

'Bzzz!'

The steel gate that was underground opened by itself after Akane placed her right hand on the scanner section of the door.

Unlike the underground fortress in North America, what was behind the gate was only a steel passage that was quite small yet so long. Until anyone who enters into it can not see the end at all.

Akane continued to walk leisurely without wearing a single piece of clothing inside this underground fortress.

After a while, three soldiers in black uniforms appeared to walk up to Akane. One of them is seen carrying a gray uniform in both hands.

Bowing their bodies, the three greeted Akane while handing over the uniform.

"Make orders from General Matsumoto to pick you up and bring you a change of clothes!" Said one of the soldiers nervously when he found out that Akane was wearing nothing at all.

They think that these change of clothes are meant to replace Akane clothes that are dirty or partially damaged. But they never thought that this was the reality.

"Thank you." Akane replied briefly as she grabbed the clothes. He immediately put it on the spot. And after everything was neatly worn, Akane immediately walked back without giving any comment to the three of them.

Which made the three more nervous over the attitude of the reddish-haired woman.

Akane certainly does not care about such trivial things at all.

Anyways....

'Bzzz!'

The door at the very end of this hallway was open. Right in front of him, General Matsumoto was sitting in front of his computer, busy doing things.

"Report, General Matsumoto! I have arrived to convey a big problem!" Akane said while giving her respect.

General Matsumoto stood up from his chair while saluting Akane.

"I already know what happened there. I don't think the Russians still have weapons like that. Sit down." General Matsumoto. His right hand seemed to allow the woman to sit on a sofa in a room that was not so big.

As soon as he sat down, Akane immediately intended to convey what was on his mind.

"General, what should we do now?" Ask Akane.

"What about the data on Axel and Lucy?" Asked the general with such a sharp look.

"It's a pity, but that data has been destroyed. What about cloud storage?" Ask Akane again.

Beside him, General Matsumoto seemed to be shaking his head with a face that looked so upset.

"If there's one thing that the Russians have mastered so well, it's their ability to hack. All data in the cloud storage as well as server computers as data backups were destroyed shortly before the explosion appeared." Obviously the General.

Both Akane's eyes opened wide, feeling unable to believe this.

In fact, they have struggled to gather data and information on the two research subjects.

But now, their entire data had completely disappeared.

"It's not your fault. After all, none of the council thought Russia still had that much power."

Akane was silent listening to General Matsumoto's words. Unable to answer it in the slightest.

'Damn it! Though it's a little more.... A little more we can achieve our dreams....' Akane thought in her heart.

"Therefore, I will give you a new mission. Prepare yourself to hunt down the Russians. Wherever they are.

There is no time limit, most importantly, wipe them off the face of the earth before they again disrupt our grand plan. And if anything, recover the research data from Axel and Lucy's subjects from them.

As a favor, I'll order one of the other S-rank Liberators to assist you on your journey, which is A-02." General Matsumoto.

Hearing the name, Akane looked so surprised. He did not believe that the A-02 would actually be sent to assist him in this mission.

And that alone has ensured that the success of this mission is very important for the glory and dream of East Asia.

Immediately, Akane began to nod after understanding General Matsumoto's orders.

"Do you understand your duties, A-01?" Ask General Matsumoto.

"Ready! The commandment is understood!" Akane replied firmly while giving her respect.

"Good, don't disappoint me."
