Chapter 1 - The Beginning of an End

2022 Years. A year that is a new beginning for human civilization.

A group of researchers have discovered an incredible source of energy, which they now call Flux.

Flux is thought to provide an almost infinite source of energy for mankind. But with one big problem. That is the fact that energy is in a different dimension.

For this reason, a massive effort is made by humanity to reach the unreachable resources.

In the end, 12 giant dimensional portals were built by a combination of all the scientists in the world. A portal connecting the human world with different dimensions to collect Flux as humanity's new resource.

Since its discovery, humanity has changed completely.

What was previously referred to as magic, is now beginning to be referred to as technology. By harnessing the energy of Flux, humanity seems to evolve to the next level.

Some of them evolved with physical strength and abilities that were tens of times beyond the ordinary human race. It is called Physique Type.

Some others evolved with magic-like powers, allowing them to create various other elements by utilizing Flux. It is called Magus Type.

And lastly, they are the most valuable, they are the ones that evolved with the combination of the two. It is called Hybrid Type.

The consequent development of the Flux energy source is considered very important in the progress of mankind.

Some researchers have even suggested that humans could have conquered the entire universe with this new ability.

But nevertheless....

There are others who hate the progress of this human race.

They were beings living in another dimension, which the current energy of the Flux was completely absorbed by mankind.

Right at the end of 2024, creatures from other dimensions are attacking humanity. Destroying the earth until it is no longer shaped.

"Here comes the viewer! The attack from the otherworldly beings has arrived! We have reminded the rulers of the country to close the portal and stop the absorption of Flux energy!

But no one heard it! That's consequences! A punishment from God!" Shouted an emcee who was covering in front of one of the 12 portals.

The portal itself has an unusually large size. It reached hundreds of meters higher. So is its width.

The giant steel supported the circle of the portal firmly. While tens of giant dimensional drill continuously absorb energy from behind that dimension.

And from the same portal, hundreds of beings from other dimensions arrived. Passing through the portal was like a door connecting between dimensions.

They have different forms of each other.

Some looked like dragons that had large wings and spouted out a variety of different elements.

Some others look like giant humans with a height of 3 meters and red skin. It resembles the form of the devil himself.

Various other races that resemble various fantasy creatures that are always told by humans are also seen running through the portal.

Their weapons are simple. Only swords and shields, and bows and arrows. But nevertheless....

"Shoot!!!" Shouted one of the army generals who led thousands of modern armed soldiers as well as dozens of tanks.

'Blaayarr!! Blaarr!!! Yarraar!!'

The explosion and destruction of the weapons of mankind succeeded in wounding them. You could even say it is quite easy.

But problem....

"Barou out! Where's the relief force?!" Shouted one of the soldiers.

"Let's go! You think I know and care?!" Reply to the other soldiers.

"Damn it! Why do they keep showing up?!"

Even after depleting their modern weaponry ammunition for 2 more hours, the army of monsters from other dimensions never stopped.

They keep popping up. Walk through the bodies of their own colleagues. Stepping on everything is like opening up. Big thing.

No one backed off.

No one is discouraged.

All those monster armies just continued to advance, with the aim of killing and destroying the human race that had exhausted the Flux energy in their world.

A counterattack, on the greed of mankind itself.

In the end, after 18 more hours of struggle than modern forces, humanity collapsed.

One by one, the country began to fall in the hands of the monster invasion. It can also be called a demon.

The giant flying dragon that was 10 times larger than the strongest tank of the human race, spouted hot flames from the sky that burned the entire building. Including the humans around him.

The pounding of the feet of a land dragon that was as tall as a 5-story building was able to create an earthquake. Splitting the ground and creating a huge ravine.

Not to mention, the invasions of monsters that were not afraid of death were continuously slaughtering humanity one by one.

With the collapse of the human defense forces, no one else could survive.

Even if....

Humans have just evolved and gained new powers.

But only a handful of people were able to bring out that potential power completely.

Until finally....

In the new year 2025, the United States and China. The two countries with the strongest military force in this world, as well as the last two countries that still stood before this mass slaughter, were bowing before monsters from other dimensions.

Governments around the world have collapsed completely.

There is no longer a state system that regulates its population.

Nothing remains of this entire human civilization. Only the skyscraper that became a symbol of the glory of mankind, which is now left. Crushed melting lying on the ground.

And right after those two superpowers collapsed....

The monster rush began to subside.

Slowly, they began to return to their original world. But keep their demon army on earth.

The goal is simply to find survivors of their invasion and kill the remnants of humanity until they can no longer rise.

And lastly, they destroyed the dimensional drill that absorbed the Flux energy from their dimension. Stopping the Flux supply to this human world completely.

But why?

No building needs electricity. No electronic equipment needs electricity. And there's none....

Humans to use it.

Except....

A few of the humans who survive.

They are the best of the best at mastering Flux energy to enhance their abilities.

In fact, one of them alone could hunt thousands of demons alone with their bare hands. That's how strong they are. But even though they were very powerful, their numbers were too few. It is impossible to protect all mankind from destruction.

But only able to protect a few from humans. Securing the rest of human civilization behind thick steel walls in an underground city.

The rest of these humans, just before the whole world collapsed, created a military organization called [Liberator] which means liberator.

A liberating organization, to save humanity from this dying world.

An organization, which has the goal of avenging these human beings to the Devils who destroyed them.

And also....

An organization, to restore human civilization back to its heyday.
