Chapter 17 - The End of the Holidays

"So, will you tell me everything?" Chloe asked as she sat in front of the dining table.

On his right side, there was a glass of warm tea and some cookies.

Chloe did not dare to look at her sister's face. He just kept looking at the white smoke from the heat of the tea in the glass.

"You sure you want to know?" Ask Axel.

Chloe didn't answer. He only nodded his head lightly to reply to Axel's question.

"Well, where do we start?"

"From why you joined the army." Reply Chloe who still did not dare to raise her face to look into Axel's eyes.

The question left Axel a little confused over how to answer it. Did He have to tell you the truth where He had been slightly deceived by the other members of the special division?

Or the....

"They said they needed me. There are only 14 Liberators in this fort. And they...."

"I don't care about that! But why?! Don't they have enough Liberas what is it?! Why should my sister join? Why?"

"Can't you just give that job to someone else? Why should sister? Why?" Chloe asked who was still crying.

Axel took a deep breath before answering that question.

"That's because I'm blessed with a little power over the others. And it's my duty to use it to save others. At least, it can protect you."

Chloe just fell silent.

He also saw with his own eyes the refugees rescued by Axel.

Including a little girl who dragged her teddy bear on the ground. He seemed very worried about Axel's condition.

After being silent for a while, Chloe spoke again.

"All right, I get it." Chloe said, She calmed down after wiping all the tears on her face.

"Aaah, that's right too. This is for you." Axel said while giving a cell phone box to Chloe.

"This?"

"Mobile phone, especially? From now on we can relate even if we are separated. Not so bad, is it?" Reply Axel with a big smile.

The two try to add contacts to each other and send messages.

"Lake in." Chloe replied with a satisfied smile.

"good. Then I want to sleep. I don't know why I'm so tired today. Where's my room?" Ask Axel.

Chloe just fell silent. His face was flushed and did not dare to look him in the eyes.

"Chloe, what's wrong?" Ask Axel.

"Sister.... Can we.... Sleeping together? Just like when we were living under those ruins? After all, you're leaving again after this, aren't you?" Chloe said as she continued to look at the floor.

"Hm.... Youre right. Maybe I'll go tomorrow. All right, it doesn't matter as long as the bed's wide enough." Reply Axel while stroking his sister's hair.

Chloe pulled her brother's right hand and took him into her room.

And for the first time....

Axel could enjoy a spacious and soft bed inside this fortress. Without having to sleep in a tube full of that green liquid.

Axel is back packing. He was wearing his washed uniform neatly. Similarly, his thick shoes are slightly coated with thin steel.

On his back, a long steel stick appeared to be locked onto the hexagon device. Beside him was a bag containing arrows. The number reaches 50.

"Sister, be careful." Chloe said with such a sweet smile.

"Yes. I'll be back soon." Reply Axel too with a friendly smile.

From beside the door, Chloe's figure appears to continue waving her hand towards her brother who is walking further and further away. Once again left him alone in this apartment.

Meanwhile, just as Axel was coming out of this apartment, his phone rang. As he picked it up, Axel saw the call without a number, which only had the short name [Liberator].

"Yes, hello?" Axel said after picking up his phone.

"Every night fun? If so, quickly return to the B19 floor. Eva's healed, and I'm gonna give you a new mission." The voice of the woman is none other than the Oracle herself.

"Fun?! What do you mean by...."

"good. I'll wait for you." Reply to the Oracle briefly while immediately closing the call.

Axel's face flushed slightly after hearing the words from the Oracle.

'Wait 'wait? How does He know if I....'

Axel immediately shook off that thought and walked away. To go to the main meeting room on the B19 floor.

Liberator Main Meeting Room.

'Bzzz!'

The automatic door opened, revealing a view of the meeting room that was much more crowded than usual.

All members of the Liberator special division were present in this room. With the total number of them reaching 15 people, including Axel himself.

"You've arrived, Axel? Sit down quickly." Said the Oracle at the end of this room.

"Axel, come here." Eva said as she lightly patted the iron chair beside her.

Immediately, Axel walked over to sit beside Eva.

After that, the Oracle immediately dimmed some of the lights in this room and began a meeting to discuss the new move of the Liberator.

"As you all know, the East Asia Branch will provide assistance to us to take back some of the land in our region.

To that end, our current mission is only one. That is, cleaning around the region from monsters, especially at airport locations so that their planes can land safely. Understood?" Ask the Oracle in a loud voice.
