Chapter 23 - The End of the Hunt?
'Zraasshh! The sraasssh!'
Axel and Eva look like a couple of dancers on a magnificent stage. With many waterfalls and also property surround this stage.
Every now and then, Eva seemed to twist her body gracefully. Where the movement will be reciprocated by Axel with light and fast steps.
Every time the two of them swung their arms, red fountains seemed to be pouring out everywhere.
Many movements make them have to reset their breath several times. The red liquid that poured out from the various places also re-coloured their beautiful gray suits, now a dark red suit.
Regardless of that, the two continued to dance.
On top of this massacre of Lizardmen.
James, who saw the dance from far away, felt that his presence was not needed at all.
Of the approximately 1,500 Lizardmen in the center, Axel and Eva have slaughtered at least 500 individuals to date.

That one word can describe the cooperation between Axel and Eva that is so smooth and perfect. It was as if the two of them were indeed born to complement each other's flaws.
When Axel is unable to cut down some of the thick scaly Lizardmen, he will switch positions with Eva to complete the task.
Meanwhile, when Eva moves too slowly to avoid or hit her target, Axel will move ahead of Eva. It was as if Axel could actually read the entire flow of the fight in this battleground perfectly.
"You're sure he just joined less than 1 month ago?" James asked as he continued to stare towards Axel's terrifying movements.
Axel's movement is like an electric current. Darting from one point to another quickly. Including leaving an electric trail that makes his opponent slightly injured just by being on the trajectory of Axel's movements.
While James was still busy with his own thoughts, several Lizardmen seemed to start running towards him.
'It's bad!' James cried in his heart.
He can't run. If he moved quite a lot from his current position, then the fire magic that he had gathered from earlier would break out uncontrollably.

'Zaapp! Swuush! Swuush! Swuush!'
Three arrows shot towards the vicinity of James standing up. It pierced through the bodies of the three Lizardmen who were running towards James himself.

'Rank S.... Haha.... I think humanity still has a lot of hope.' James thought in his heart after realizing how powerful Axel was.
His face was no longer able to withstand that blissful smile.
Not long after, James finally shouted loudly at the two of them.
"Retreat! I'm gonna burn this place down!" Shouted James.
Without the slightest pause, Axel immediately reattached his spear on his back. Immediately after, he ran towards Eva and lifted her up to go away from this battleground.
'Tap 'em! Taps! Aap!'
In just an instant, Axel had now stood beside James with Eva descending slowly from Axel's body.
"Hahaha, never stop showing off?" James said with a light laugh towards Axel.
Axel simply frowned while putting on a confused face.
"What do you mean?" Ask Axel.
"nothing. Prepare yourself! I'm gonna burn this place down!" Shouted James once more.
After shouting that out, James immediately shot out the blue fireball.
And sure enough....
...'BLAAAAAAARR!!!'...
...'SWUUUOOOSSHHH!!'S!!!'...
The huge, powerful blue flame immediately burned down whatever was in front of him.
Shortly after contact with the water, the fire quickly caused it to evaporate. Being a hot gas not even a blink of an eye.
As for the rest of the Lizardmen?
Everything burned down, even to the point of no longer leaving ashes after being exposed to James' large-scale magic.
In just 10 seconds. A magic that takes approximately 20 minutes is lasting.
But in those 10 seconds anyway, the Lizardmen's nest-cleaning mission was completed.
'Swuuoosh.... Oush!'
Slowly, the blue flame immediately changed color back to a reddish-yellow.
The size is getting smaller too. Until finally it was only as big as a match on the end of his two hands.
And shortly after that....
'Bruuck! Oruugg!'
James fell down. He began to lose all power in his body.
Axel who saw it sensibly immediately caught the body of James who almost fell to the ground.
"What a great job, James. Thanks to you, we can go home pretty early today." Axel said while supporting the body of James who no longer has the rest of the energy.
"Haha.... That so? Mercifully. Then will you buy me a pack of cigarettes later?" James asked with a satisfied smile.
"of course. As long as I can get it, that's all." Reply Axel.
However, there was one thing that slightly bothered the two men. That is the fact that Eva did not celebrate this great victory at all.
As Axel glanced towards Eva, the silver-haired woman simply stood in silence. Staring into the distance with wide open eyes and gaping mouth.
"Eva? What's up?" Axel asked in confusion.
"It's a lie, isn't it? No. gabe.... That's just not possible.... Even your magic should be able to burn the Dread Rider, right? Then why.... Why?" Say Eva with a broken voice.
Her body also seemed to start shaking until Eva almost lost her balance.
Knowing that he would not get an answer by asking, Axel also followed the direction of Eva's eyes in the distance.
Behind the smoke from the boiling water vapor, as well as the flames that were still burning everywhere in this dump, Axel could see it.
A monster that was still standing firmly in the midst of all this madness.
After focusing his vision, Axel finally knew for sure what a monster it was. And the same thing that Eva experienced, also began to be felt by her.
