Chapter 39 - The Power Generation Incident 2

Hearing all the chatter from Akane that happened suddenly, Axel just fell silent. In his heart, there was only one sentence.

'I think I can understand it a little bit but.... I can't seem to understand what this woman means.'

Meanwhile, Akane looks forward to Axel's response. Keep keeping that sweet smile on her face.

Not long after, Akane extended her right hand towards Axel.

"What does this mean?" Axel asked looking at Akane's right hand which led to him. As if asking to shake hands.

"Just shake hands for our cooperation from today. Can't you?" Akane asked as she continued to smile. But now, he also closed his eyes while slightly tilting his head to the side.

Axel once again noticed Akane's right hand. For some reason, from the beginning Axel felt that something was wrong with this woman.

But Axel couldn't explain it at all.

It was just an uncomfortable feeling when he was close to her.

After thinking about it for a while, Axel immediately shook Akane's right hand quite firmly.

"Hm! Goody! I like your attitude!" Akane replied with a smile.

He noticed thousands more monsters swarming around the power plant. They seemed to be walking to the same point.

But because of the many obstacles and also the collapsed buildings, they could not enter the power plant easily.

On the other hand, Akane immediately prepared to cast her large-scale fire magic. On his right palm, a fireball with a bluish color began to form.

Shortly before Akane fired that fire attack, Axel immediately restrained his right hand.

"Wait on! What are you doing?!" Axel panicked.

"Stop them, of course." Akane's reply was as sinless.

Axel was only able to hit his own forehead because of disbelief for Akane's actions.

"Well.... We're assigned to investigate what caused the monsters to gravitate to this place. Not killing them." Obviously Axel while sighing.

He couldn't believe that Akane was only thinking of taking everything away with sheer force.

"Aah, that's right too. Sorry." Reply Akane who put on an innocent face. Complete with a big smile.

Axel then started down that hill. Prepare to break through thousands of Goblin and Orc-type monsters.

He raised his gun. Lock it in the form of a spear. Prepare for a fierce fight against the monsters if needed.

But nevertheless....

No monster cared about him.

Even when Axel was standing right beside one of those Goblins, they just kept running to the same point. Ignoring Axel's existence completely.

"What the fuck?" Axel asked confused at their behavior. Which seemed as if there was something much more important in there compared to their mortal enemies.

But even more suspicious....

As Axel glanced at Akane, the woman seemed not at all surprised. It looks ordinary. Only when Axel had actually asked Akane directly did the woman become confused.

"Akane, thank you." Axel said briefly.

"Don't thank them for the words, but help me finish them off." Reply Akane.

Immediately, Axel began to prepare himself. It flowed part of its body with the element of lightning. And also at the end of his spear.

The opponent is not a monster, but a human being.
