Chapter 11 - Life and Death

'Srruugg!!'

Axel quickly jumped to the side while rolling over. Avoiding that very hot fire.

When looking back, even the concrete road seemed to smolder because it was hit by the Wyvern fire.

'I can't be hit by his attack at all!' Axel thought in his heart.

He ran quickly towards the back of the Wyvern. With this speed, Axel thought that Wyvern would not be able to keep up.

But nevertheless....

'Swuushh! Swuush!!'

The Wyvern flapped both of its wings very strongly. The wind pressure caused Axel to be pushed to fall backward.

'Bruuck! Braaakk!'

Without waiting, the Wyvern immediately prepared to fly.

'It's bad!' Shouts Axel.

He can't let Wyvern fly and go help the Knight. After all, his job was to prevent that from happening.

Giving Eva a chance to win in a one-on-one fight with the Knight.

With that in mind, Axel picked up one of his throwing knives. Draining his magic power in the blade, Axel aimed right at the Wyvern wing.

Whatever happens, Axel can't let him join the Knights and interfere with Eva's fight.

After realizing that his first attack had failed, Axel jumped backwards to avoid a counterattack from Wyvern.

The Wyvern swung his right arm vertically. Hit the streets of this city to the ground.

'Fuuh.... Just barely. If I get that attack....' Axel thought he saw the Wyvern attack marks that made the concrete destroyed easily.

After seeing the right opportunity, Axel again shot towards Wyvern. But now with the main intention to make a much bigger tear on his wing.

"Yahoooooo!!!" Wyvern's shout was in pain after receiving a quick strike from Axel. The Wyvern raised his head upwards.

Axel who saw it before realized that the movement looked like the previous movement when it was about to spout fire.

The burst of flames thrown by Wyvern was right in the direction Axel was. Their distance was very close, making it difficult for Axel to avoid them.

The entire body of the Wyvern was enveloped by thick, hard dark blue scales. However, the lower part of his body that faces the ground, namely the neck, chest, stomach, and palms and feet, has a slightly brighter color.

With that light blue color, Axel could see it very clearly.

A fact, that on that part....

'No scales?!'

Upon realizing that, Axel immediately jumped back. Prepare for the next attack that leads to the passage.

Even so, the lower part of Wyvern's body was well protected by the upper part of his body which had extremely hard scales.

'Even if you understand it, how do you attack it? Wait....'

Axel then remembered something.

Something that makes Wyvern always shows the weak part of it.

That is....

As the Wyvern prepared to spurt fire. He would always raise his head up, revealing his neck that had no protection.

Previously, Axel did not realize it because it was always blurred when he saw the movement.
