Chapter 24 - Abnormal Enemies

"What is true? Isn't Lizardmen a D-level monster? Hey, James! Isn't your magic able to kill top C level monsters like the Dread Rider?! What's going on?" Shouted Axel without even a hint of turning his gaze away from that Lizardmen figure in the distance.

Slowly, the steam generated from James' attack began to fade. Clearly show the figure of the Lizardmen in the distance.

The monster had a body at least one and a half times larger than the Lizardmen Axel had previously encountered.

And thanks to James's fire attack, his scales seemed to glow with a reddish-yellow color as if they were about to melt. But no, the scales don't melt at all.

Even Axel could still clearly see the pattern of scales on the Lizardmen's body.

One simple step from the abnormally graded Lizardmen, could make Axel reflexively step back.

Axel took an arrow from the small bag on his back and pulled the arrow on his bow.

Casually, the Lizardmen pulled Axel's arrow from his chest with his left hand. Before it finally crushed the arrow easily.

Dozens of sharp claw swings from both arms were continuously directed at Axel. Step by step, the Lizardmen continuously pushed back pure Axel with just his physical strength alone.

Realizing this situation was bad enough, even more so considering the helpless James....

"Geev! Get James out of here and hurry back to help me!" Shouted Axel while continuously dodging the successive claw attacks of the Lizardmen.

Axel had not had time to lock his bow back into a spear. So close combat was extremely impossible to do at this moment.

After all, how could this human with a weak body deal with a monster that even his slash was able to split apart some steel pillars at the center of this dump?

'Zraaaassshhh! Oh klaaangg! Oh, klaaangg!'

Axel quickly jumped back twice. Trying to keep as far away from the Lizardmen as possible after finding out Eva and James have left this place.

Blood continuously flowed from Axel's neck as well as chest. But that does not mean his opponent this time will sit sweetly and wait for Axel to treat his wound.

'Blaaar! Zraasshh!'

Once again, the Lizardmen shot very quickly towards Axel standing while swinging both of his arms to slash Axel with his claws.

But nevertheless....

This time Axel began to have difficulty evading.

The pain in his body began to damage his concentration. And for that, Axel used a pretty crazy way.

After he jumped back, Axel took one of the medicines brought by him as a first aid in this fight.

What he took, was an injection needle with a light blue liquid. Without hesitation, Axel immediately thrust it into his right neck and injected the liquid.

All he did while continuing to dodge the attacks from the Lizardmen.

As soon as Axel injects it, he throws the syringe at the Lizardmen. Of course, it has no effect.

But the medicine started to work.

Axel's body started to limp. Slowly, he began to sleep. Including loss of pain from existing wounds.

All because Axel injects an anesthetic to relieve pain. With the price, his consciousness also faded.

But Alex can easily counteract that intense drowsiness by electrocuting herself using her magic.

And this time, Axel once again got up. As a Liberator ready to fight back, without feeling the slightest pain in his body.
