Liberators
Chapter 65 - Examination Results

'ANGLOG!'

The steel door in this isolation cell was opened. Freeing Axel from isolation in just one day.

"Huh? I think there's two more days?" Axel asked with an attitude that was still so calm.

The Oracle just looked at Axel in front of him who was busy doing push-ups.

"Thank you to the girl. He asked to see you." Reply to the Oracle who immediately turned her body.

Axel immediately got up from the floor and put on his clothes. Follow the Oracle's footsteps into the elevator.

And finally, they arrived at the B20 floor. A lower floor in the military facility in this fortress.

There's no one on this floor. Naturally, because this floor is only used to run Flux improvement operations. This is not the place to carry out daily work.

However, the Oracle went in the opposite direction. Heading to a steel wall.

"Uuh, where are we? You're not gonna say we're going through a wall, are you?" Axel asked in confusion.

The oracle remained silent. He was seen putting his palm on a certain part of the steel wall.

In an instant, the wall before them began to descend. Showing a ladder behind it.

"Hide what you see here." Said the Oracle briefly as he immediately walked into the rungs of the stairs.

"You know, there's so many secrets, I think it'd be better if I never said anything to anyone else." Axel's reply was upset.

For some reason, he really had to keep a lot of secrets.

This made him wonder. Is there another big secret? Besides this secret room?

As soon as Axel entered the staircase, the iron wall was raised up again. Disguise the existence of this room from the public.

And sure enough....

What's in this room is a big secret. Maybe too big for anyone to know. Especially the civilians.

"What the fuck?!" Axel shouted in surprise.

In this long hallway with white light illumination, the path was only 5 meters wide. And on the right and left side of this hallway, there is a very thick glass wall.

There is no mistake that the glass wall is made of a material that is resistant to bullets because it is so thick and sturdy.

But what surprised Axel was what was behind the glass.

"Grooaayarr!!!"

Some of the Goblins appear to be trying to run to attack Axel. But his attack was thwarted by that thick glass.

'Braaakkk!'

The goblin hit the thick glass several times. Just to find out his actions didn't damage the glass in the slightest.

Every 15 meters, there was a steel wall separating between the different monster rooms. At the top of the room, there was a small hole as a place to give them food.

Just a few seconds Axel walked, he had seen various kinds of monsters living behind this glass prison.

Goblins, Lizardmen, Orcs, Werewolves and so on.

Everything was gathered in different rooms, which were grouped based on their race.

"Oracle.... It's...."

"Whatever happens. Don't ever tell anyone what you see here." Reply to the Oracle who kept walking forward. Without even a single glance towards Axel.

"But why? Why you.... No. gabe. Why did the Liberators collect these monsters? And.... Are they breeding?" Ask Axel back.

"You think how can we know what kind of weapons, and what materials are effective to use against them? Of course by utilizing this testing material." Reply to the Oracle with such a sharp look.

Axel did not realize at all, that there is a secret like this behind a safe and comfortable life in this fortress.

Although it was true that they were monsters, and the goal was to be used as research materials. But still....

Their existence here....

It could endanger the residents inside this fort. If they managed to escape and escape from behind this glass wall, perhaps what happened was the destruction of this fortress itself.

Given their large numbers, they even reach hundreds more for each species.

And after seeing this, Axel also realized.

"Don't tell me, you think that girl is also part of a monster?" Axel asked while narrowing his eyes.

Hearing that stupid question, the Oracle seemed to let out a sigh and immediately turned her body around. Back walk through this long hallway.

"Reserve yourself, Axel. Whatever happens, the girl is not human. Even she was not a 12-year-old girl, but rather a human-like figure that was several months old." Obviously Oracle.

That explanation must have surprised him. How could such a girl be a monster? Moreover, he was only a few months old?

"How can you be sure?" Ask Axel.

"Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes in their cells. Meanwhile, the girl has 72 pairs of chromosomes in her body cells. Even if he's human, scientifically he's not human."

Axel seemed a little confused by the scientific explanation. The Oracle who realized it immediately made a simpler explanation.

"In short, in a certain trigger, the girl could turn into a half monster." Oracle threw a phone with video in it.

The video was a recording of the treatment room where the girl was.

In it, a girl with the code name : Lucy began to change shape little by little. To be something that is not human.

"It's...."

Axel is awake. That girl is not human. But.... Will he suffer the same fate as the monsters in this place? As test material?

"Just calm. We'll never hurt him. He was too valuable as a research subject. But for security's sake, we'll keep him in this basement." Said the Oracle who stopped right in front of a steel door.

He put his palm on the side of the door.

'Swuuusshh!'

The door opens automatically to the side. Show the control room inside. Frans and Leona are also working there.

At the front of the control room, several monitor screens appear to show images from various angles in this underground facility.

Including the place where the girl was.

"Look, she's pretty happy isn't she?" Oracle asked Axel while showing one of the screens. Lucy is busy playing with some dolls.

"So that's it...."

"The good news, this girl named Lucy, is probably a human who evolved in a different direction than us. Or rather, humans born in a state rich in Flux.

For nearly 100% of the human race to survive, humans evolved by adapting to the energy of the Flux itself. His regenerative and physical abilities surpassed Liberators. Even without surgery." Obviously Oracle at length.

This time, Axel immediately captured what the Oracle intended in his statement.

"So you said.... We could just replicate the process of evolution and use that information for ourselves?" Ask Axel.

"You're right. Perhaps with the knowledge of his body, we can produce a second generation Liberator that is much faster, stronger, and has a much longer lifespan."
