"You don't have to do that" Ustad Fariz prevented the two of them from performing the vows as Mirna wanted them to.

"No Kyai, we are willing to swear by the truth" one of the santriwati said firmly and without hesitation, and was taken in by the other santriwati.

Ustad Fariz turned to Ustad Jaki and Ustad Jaki nodded in agreement with the proposal of the two sisters.

Then the two sisters swore an oath to use the Qur'an and said by Allah if they did not lie on their confessions.

After that the two sisters were escorted by Ustad Jaki to return to their rooms. Ustad Fariz and Ustad Jaki were really protecting the two sisters because they were afraid that Mirna would be desperate to harm them.
