Mirna, wife of Ustad Fariz woke up from her sleep, she felt next to her because she felt empty there was no husband.
He opened his eyes, he stared at the clock that still showed at 01.00, not usually her husband to pray at this hour, usually if not 2 o'clock at 3 Ustad Fariz to pray at night. With her eyes still sleepy, she walked slowly in search of her husband.
He walked into the room that they usually used for prayer, maybe it could be said mushalla house but only a small room because the room was actually the room they used for prayer room.
This house does not belong to Ustad Fariz, they only contract this house because they do not have a house and their money is still not enough to buy a house.
Mirna heard the sound of a small sobbing held back, she was so curious about the prayer offered by her husband that she cried like that, because all this time she had never seen or heard her husband cry or shed tears just a little.
Put both ears well. It turned out that in her husband's prayer there was the name of another woman, Rheina Az Zahra whose face and smile she could not get out of her memory, even every time she closed her eyes, she said, the woman's face and smile could still be clearly seen by her husband.
Mirna bit her lips to hold back her tears, she could not see her husband who turned out to love another woman to ask his creator to help her remove the shadow of the woman from her mind and vision.
Mirna slowly left the place with a feeling of tightness and rumbling inside her chest. Wanting her to be angry and cursing at her husband, but seeing her tears she could not bear, she promised herself to keep her husband away from her.
Wasn't that also the will of her husband earlier when praying, so she thought about finding a way out so that her husband would stay away from her. Or they can't meet again.
But how while she did not know the woman, she only knew the name of the woman her husband mentioned in his prayer. He thought for a long time until the sound of the morning prayer resounded.
She waited for her husband to return to the room, usually if her husband did not go to the mosque for dawn prayers, surely her husband would ask her to pray together. But already five minutes she waited in the room did not also come her husband to change clothes or invite her to pray together.
If Ustad Fariz would pray in Mushalla or Masjid, surely he had previously changed his clothes and sarong in the room, well this was not changed clothes and came into the room was not, not, it had been a long time since he had prayed in the room last night.
With a feeling of wonder Mirna approached her husband in the room where he was performing the prayer earlier. It turned out that Ustad Fariz was soundly asleep on the prayer mat. Wake her husband.
"Mas. mas. woke up, it was dawn," Mirna wiggled her husband's body to wake up from his sleep.
Ustad Fariz felt his sleep disturbed, his eyes opened slowly because his drowsiness was still whack. He had only fallen asleep half an hour ago, just as drowsiness had mastered it to the point of not hearing the dawn prayer in his ears.
"Mmm... What's wrong?" with a typical hoarse voice of a waking person he asked.
"Udah adhan dawn Mas... You do not go to the mosque?" Mirna asked and sat down in front of her husband.
"Salat at home only. Have you prayed?" Ustad Fariz stood about to walk to the ablution.
"No, I'm waiting for you, yet" Mirna stood up.
"Yes we have prayed together, I want to take ablution first," Ustad Fariz walked outside the room to the bathroom for ablution.
After that alternates with Mirna who takes ablution water.
Then they performed the congregational dawn prayer which was of course Ustad Fariz who became his priest. After they finished performing the morning prayer, Ustad Fariz slept because of his drowsiness that he could not withstand.
He does not usually fall asleep after dawn prayers, he usually teaches after dawn prayers. But now he's asleep because he couldn't sleep last night. Mirna felt pity for her husband in addition to her anger because of the woman present in her husband's heart and mind.
Mirna thought very hard, she completely twisted her brain so that she could find a solution to keep her husband away from the woman. Until he realized because he heard the ringing of his cellphone, he saw his cellphone in his hand. His uncle's name is there.
Mirna only realized that her uncle served a boarding school in her residence. Mirna excitedly pressed the green button and answered the greeting from across there.
"Assalamu'alaikum"
"Wa'alaikumussalam"
"Mirna how are you?"
"Okay Uncle, how's Uncle and the family there?"
"Thank God, too, when did you play here with your husband? Sorry Uncle couldn't be there when you got married. There was a big event at Pondok Pesantren that time coincided with you getting married. Forgive Uncle yes, Uncle can't leave the event."
"Enggeh Uncle, it's okay. Uncle Oiya, what in Pondok Pesantren is there a job vacancy for Mirna's husband?"
"Does your husband need Mirna's job? Isn't he an Ustad?"
"Enggeh Uncle, maybe Uncle can help."
"Well, Uncle ask first."
"All right, I'm waiting for the good news Uncle."
"Assalamu'alaikum"
"Wa'alaikumussalam"
Tut...
After the phone connection was cut, Mirna did her routine to clean the house and cook.
An hour later there was a message notification sound, in the absence of the incoming message, the corner of Mirna's lips lifted reading the message.
It turned out that the message was from his Uncle who said that Pondok Pesantren where serving Uncle Mirna needed a Ustad and if possible they wanted to be there immediately. They also provided shelter there for Ustad Fariz and Mirna.
With a feeling of great happiness, Mirna woke up her husband.
"Mas... Mas... let's get up, I have some important news," Mirna wiggled Ustad Fariz's body to get her husband up.
"Mas.. come on. You were asked to teach at Pesantren Pondok where my Uncle served. We were told to go there quickly. We're leaving tomorrow, right?" Mirna explained excitedly but her husband did not listen to her because he had already fallen asleep again.
"Mas... I've packed our things now" Mirna got out of bed and started packing her clothes in the closet. He picked up the suitcase on top of his closet. Then he put his clothes in the suitcase.
08.00 am
Ustad Fariz woke up from her sleep, she came out of her room to the bathroom. After she came out of the bathroom, she was confronted by Mirna,
"Mas I want to talk," Mirna did not give Ustad Fariz a chance to pass through.
"Later I will pray dhuha first," Ustad Fariz tried to step but was still blocked by Mirna.
"Promise will follow my will" Mirna forced Ustad Fariz to promise.
"Well, now you step aside first," Ustad Fariz walked away from Mirna after Mirna's body was removed from her sight.
After Ustad Fariz finished performing the dhuha prayer, he went into his room to pick up the motorbike keys, he would prepare to teach at TPQ at 10:00.
However, her eyes were fixed on the suitcase the moment she picked up the motor key on the dressing table.
"Mirna, what's that suitcase for?" Ustad Fariz came out of the room to Mirna and asked her.
"I told you, Mas, Pondok Pesantren where my Uncle served asked Mas to teach there and we were told to go there immediately," Mirna spoke with her spirit and a smile that burst with happiness.
"Why did you decide for yourself Mirna? Why don't you ask me first?" Ustad Fariz sat down limply.
"Come on, didn't you promise to obey my wishes?" Mirna sulked for her husband to approve.
"But what about my job here? It's not good to leave those who still need my guidance" Ustad Fariz tried to explain to his wife.
" I don't want to know Mas, anyway tomorrow we leave," Mirna was firm so that her husband could not deny it.
"I don't want to. I can't. I was not well with Ustad Yadi who had helped me a lot" Ustad Fariz moved from his seat about to walk, but he stopped again when he heard his wife's words.
"It's not good for Ustad Yadi or bad for not being able to see that woman?" Mirna asked in a satirical but loud tone until it was heard so clearly by Ustad Fariz.
"What do you mean?" Ustad Fariz turned around and stared fixedly full of anger at his wife, but her voice did not at all snap at him.
"I know in your heart there's another woman" Mirna looked back at her husband's eyes.
" What are you talking about? Is it because I don't want to leave so you're saying all this?" Ustad Fariz denies Mirna's accusations against him.
"I know Mas, you don't have to kink anymore. If it's true that in your heart there is no other woman, prove it to me, follow my will to leave this city. We live in another city. How's it?" Mirna challenged her husband with her choice.
Ustad Fariz is back. He did not think that his wife could do this to him. Though clearly he had never cheated with another woman, but it is true that there was another woman's name in his heart that could not be removed even though he had tried hard to remove it.
And it had been those years, yet the sense of it was getting stronger even though they had never met.
"How Mas? I'm your wife Mas, can't you see me fighting for our marriage? I beg you Mas..," Mirna said with a sad look on her face.
It seems to be the path you're showing, O God. Maybe this is what I have to do, get away from him, so that this feeling can disappear. Bismillah....
"I talked to Ustad Yadi first so that someone could replace me as soon as possible teaching them. Assalamu'alaikum" Ustad Fariz got out of his seat and got out of his house riding his motorbike.
"Wa'alaikummussalam," Mirna smiled with satisfaction at hearing her husband obey her.
Along the way to TPQ, Ustad Fariz thought of it all, to the point that he would try to leave the city and try to forget his first love whose name still held so strongly in his heart. He only hoped that he would be able to forget her so that she would not be tormented by his feelings.
Arriving at TPQ Ustad Fariz met Ustad Yadi first. He expressed his decision to accept a job at Pondok Pesantren in another city where Uncle Mirna served. And Ustad Fariz would like to thank Ustad Yadi for all his support and kindness to him during this time.
Ustad Yadi could not hold Ustad Fariz because he did not have the right to block him and it seems like Ustad Fariz's decision was better, so Ustad Yadi just advised them to stay on good terms, do not break communication and pray that Ustad Fariz is given happiness and the best in his life.
After teaching, Ustad Fariz went home and told his wife they could leave whenever she wanted. Mirna soared in excitement and hugged her husband's body. She was very happy because her husband preferred her over the woman.
The next morning they set off by train. They do not have much, for almost all belongings belong to the person whose house they occupy.
They only brought their clothes and their motorbikes were sent through the expedition. Ustad Fariz left the city feeling empty, like there was something empty in his heart.
She is not willing to leave the city, which gives her many memories and happiness and sadness, but she finds her love in that city. But what power, he can't fight destiny. Maybe this is the way he has to go to get over it, his first love, Rheina Az Zahra.
Late in the evening they reached their destination city. Uncle Marni, Mr. Ratmo picked them up at the station. Then arriving at Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin, they were taken by Mr. Ratmo to Ndalem, the home of Kyai Farhan.
They were greeted by Kyai Farhan and Umi Sarifah. They only live together in Ndalem and their age is old. They had a son, but died at the age of 15 in an accident.
Therefore they are very happy to live among the santri who are like their own children.
Ustad Fariz lives in a house not far from Ndalem and is still in the Pondok Pesantren area.
Day after day Ustad Fariz passed by usual, nothing special. Indeed, his heart was calmer and more comfortable in this place, but sometimes it still crossed Rhea's face and sweet smile in his mind.
Sometimes she even remembers the last time they met, when Rhea asked about her chest that hurt when she saw it, his heart was pounding so fast that he was afraid of having problems with his heart but he was happy and always smiled when he met him.
Rhea Az Zahra, how are you? Are you better now? Are you no longer sad? Ah, my Zahra, how can I forget you if you keep on imagining it in my eyes. Astaghfirullahaladzim ..., inner Ustad Fariz was tormented by his feelings of love.
