Chapter 14 The crafty plan

Mirna's heart beat quickly knowing the answer from her husband.

"The answer is Umi" replied Ustad Fariz.

"Every day?" ask Umi Sarifah back.

Ustad Fariz nodded in. But he remained silent without a sound.

"What is Ustad waiting for? I know the answer even though Ustad doesn't tell me" said Ustad Jaki.

Mirna's legs are limp. He was confused what else he would do to keep him from being divorced. Now Mirna thought that Ustad Fariz would divorce her and marry Rhea. So the only way is that she has to give her husband permission to polygamy by marrying Rhea. Soon Mirna returned to her home and looked for ideas for future plans.

"I'm afraid I can't make them happy and I'm afraid that Rhea will be sad if Mirna hurts her heart" Ustad Fariz's voice weakened when it comes to her relationship with Rhea.

"There is a God who will give guidance and a way out of every problem Le. Try to surrender and complain about all your fears, ask for guidance from him," advised Umi Sarifah.

After that Ustad Fariz and Ustad Jaki returned to Pondok Pesantren to teach again.

Rhea felt her days were not like yesterday after she was hit by Mirna that time. He returned to being the Rhea before meeting with Ustad Fariz again. Rhea became less excited, her soul was empty, like something was missing.

As usual Rhea shopping at the market was escorted by Mr. Sardi, but this time accompanied by Bik Darmi because they all shop for other needs.

Rhea stopped in front of the bookstore which witnessed the reunion of her first love.Rhea unknowingly stopped her steps when she was in front of the bookstore. He saw the place where he met again with Ustad Fariz which is very clearly visible from outside the bookstore. The shadow of him that accidentally collided with Ustad Fariz and then they began to speak, all of it repeated clearly in his mind so that at the moment of seeing the place as if it was real in his eyes.

Bik Darmi resuscitated Rhea's daydreams and they began to go to the stall they were going to. Rhea and Bik Darmi split up looking for their respective needs to be finished quickly.

While at the vegetable stall, Rhea accidentally meets Mirna. Their hands were taking the same vegetables.

"Mr..," said Rhea with a smile.

Mirna stared cynically and grabbed the vegetables in Rhea's hands and put them in her shopping place.

"Sir, it's mine" said Rhea slowly.

"Indeed, I know it's yours" Mirna replied lightly while choosing another vegetable.

"Why don't you choose the others?" asked Rhea in a soft voice, for fear of hearing another one.

"How does it feel like yours was taken by someone else?" asked Mirna while smiling cynically.

"What do you mean?" ask Rhea.

"I meanwhat? You're the actor who took my husband. Do you still want to avoid it?" mirna exclaimed with a loud voice that made everyone turn to them.

Bik Darmi who was at the next stall heard everything. Bik Darmi immediately approached Rhea.

There were whispers from the people there that they were gossiping and denigrating Rhea.

Mirna is already famous there because she is the wife of a Kyai in Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin.

"Mother Mirna, is she really an actor?" ask a mother who was there.

Mirna just put on a sad face and didn't say much.

"That's right, ma'am, look at him not in the hijab. But there's no way Kyai Fariz can like a woman like that?" said another mother.

"Basic pelakor. It's usual to take someone else's property" another mother sneered.

"He's not a lasher. She's a good woman. She never snatched people's husbands," Bik Darmi exclaimed in a high voice.

Rhea could only shut up. Her tears could not be stopped. The scorn and gossip of the people still ringed clearly in his ears.

"Udah.alah Ma'am, continue the shopping," said the mother of the stall seller mediate.

"No, you're the actor" said one mother in her loud voice.

"Mother if you don't understand don't talk," Bik Darmi snapped at the mother.

"Udah Bik. let's go home," Rhea's voice was weak and trembling.

Mr. Sardi turned to Bik Darmi who was sitting next to him. Bik Darmi just nodded. Then Mr. Sardi did not ask anything more.

Arriving at home. Rhea immediately went inside her room. He could no longer endure his heartache. All the words of the mothers hurt his heart, especially the accusations given by Mirna.

Rhea spilled all her lights on her pen streak. Her cries grew as she recalled the things that caused her heartache. She hid under a thick blanket and covered her face with pillows to dampen her crying voice.

Bik Darmi told Mr. Sardi everything. They were hesitant to report this to Rhea's parents or not. But they were sure that Rhea would not allow them to tell her parents. Therefore Mr. Sardi and Bik Darmi canceled his intention to report to his employer.

Rhea did not come out of her room. Bik Darmi is worried about Rhea. Bik Darmi knocked and called Rhea's name but Rhea did not say anything. Bik Darmi became very confused and anxious. He asked Mr. Sardi what money they should do to persuade Rhea to come out of his room.

Mr. Sardi went to Umi Sarifah to ask for his opinion. Umi Sarifah was shocked to hear the story of Mr. Sardi. Luckily, Ustad Fariz and Ustad Jaki were in the cottage along with Ustad and the other Ustadzah to discuss the event in Ramadan and the reception of new students. If they knew what Mirna was doing, it was certain that Mirna would be scolded by her husband.

Umi Sarifah goes with Mr. Sardi to Rhea's house to persuade Rhea to come out of her room.

Umi Sarifah knocks and calls Rhea's name, but Rhea does not open the door. Bik Darmi was told by Mr. Sardi to get Rhea's spare key. And the door opened.

Umi Sarifah opened the blanket that covered Rhea's face. Umi Sarifah shed her tears seeing the state of Rhea who looks pale and swollen because most cry. Umi Sarifah helps Rhea to sit down.

"Umi...," Rhea's voice was very weak and quivering.

Rhea was crying in the arms of Umi Sarifah. Umi Sarifah felt pity to see Rhea who was crying nonstop, her shoulders shaking up and down signifying her overwhelming cry.

Umi Sarifah spoke from heart to heart with Rhea. Umi gives power to Rhea through every word. Rhea felt that Umi Sarifah could be an encouragement for her. After that Bik Darmi delivered food to Rhea, and Umi Sarifah fed him painstakingly.

"Rhea, Umi go home first yes, and remember you can not dissolve in sadness. Umi will always help you so that you can pass through it patiently and sincerely," Umi Sarifah said goodbye to Rhea.

Rhea nodded and smiled.

"Thank you Umi. Sorry Umi had to come here these nights," said Rhea who still sounded weak and tried to be strong.

"Umi's happy to be here. And Umi hopes that you can stay at Umi's house so that we can learn more about religion," Umi smiled and embraced Rhea.

"God willing," answered Rhea.

Rhea was happy to have Umi's figure nearby when she was fragile because it could help calm her down and strengthen her. She does need a figure like her mother when she is far from her parents. No wonder Ustad Fariz loved and respected Umi Sarifah.

In a happy time Rhea was also happy with Umi Sarifah because she could position herself as a friend for Rhea. Of course a friend is respected, so it does not diminish the honor of a Umi Sarifah who is the wife of the great Kyai in Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin.

Returning from Rhea's house, Umi Sarifah was asked many questions by Ustad Fariz and Ustad Jaki. But Umi Sarifah was reluctant to tell the truth because it did not advance to become a burden for Ustad Fariz. Umi just said that Umi Sarifah there is a business that must be dealt with quickly.

But Ustad Jaki did not just believe what Umi Sarifah said. Because actually Ustad Jaki saw Umi Sarifah get off Rhea's car and saw Mr. Sardi driving it.

After Ustad Fariz returned home, Ustad Jaki asked Umi Sarifah to tell her the truth. Umi Sarifah finally told the truth.

"Umi, Jaki was angry to hear this, especially Ustad Fariz, he would be very angry if he knew Zahra was humiliated by Mbak Mirna in front of the crowd," Ustad Jaki emotion heard the story of Umi Sarifah.

"The number is Le, don't tell Ustad Fariz before he makes his choice" said Umi Sarifah.

At Ustad Fariz's house, Mirna tries to vilify Rhea by telling her that they met at the market and Rhea ignores her even though Mirna has greeted her.

Ustad Fariz did not believe Mirna's words, so Ustad Fariz simply did not respond to anything his wife said.

In the evening, as usual Ustad Fariz prayed and asked God for guidance about his heart and about his domestic problems. Mirna tried to eavesdrop every night as Ustad Fariz prayed. It turns out that her husband really loved the woman he hated so much, Rheina Az Zahra.

In the morning at the cottage, Ustad Jaki asked Ustad Fariz to contact Rhea to conduct a third book surgery.

Ustad Fariz was still listening while doing his work. But Ustad Jaki managed to provoke jealousy Ustad Fariz back.

Ustad Jaki picks up Fariz's cell phone and blatantly inserts Rhea's mobile number into her cell phone contact.
