Chapter 38 Decision

Ustad Fariz throws Mirna's hand which pulls her. Then he held Mirna's hand and said,

"Myrna, please understand me. Now Rhea needs me the most. I'll be with him at all times if he needs to. It's my decision. Please obey me as your husband. Now go home" said Ustad Fariz after leaving the place.

"Mas... Mas... Where are you going? Mommy..."

Umi Sarifah approached Mirna and rubbed her shoulders.

"Myrna respect your husband's decision and try to understand his circumstances. Go home, calm yourself and reflect," said Umi Sarifah.

Mirna was angry at her husband's decision. She could not accept her husband's decision.

"All because of you. I've never been treated like this like Mas Fariz. I hate you. Not because you're pregnant you can master Mas Fariz. You-"

"Mirna enough! Go home while I can still forgive you!" Ustad Fariz snapped out of hiding behind the walls of the living room and family room.

Then he grabbed Rhea's hand and took her into their room in Umi Sarifah's house.

"Myrna, it is Nduk, you must understand. Umi believes your husband will definitely be able to be fair to you, as long as you can appreciate him and Rhea. Umi please make peace with the situation and do not blame Rhea anymore, because she is only the person you bring into your household. Now go home" Umi Sarifah drove Mirna out of her house.

"He who forced his way into our household Umi, he was the actor" said Mirna upset full of emotion.

" Nduk remember, he didn't force his way in, but he you brought in, because you told your husband to marry him and your husband agreed. So where's the mistake? You have to be aware of Nduk," said Umi Sarifah.

"Oh, everything is not on my side" said Mirna full of emotions.

Mirna walked towards her home with mixed feelings of anger, emotion and annoyance. He could not accept if he lost. Lose because she has not been able to give a child to her husband and lose get the attention of her husband.

Arriving at home she looked for a way for her husband to notice her just as much as Rhea. Her emotions and anger took revenge in Mirna's heart. He was determined to make Rhea regret taking hers.

"Bie, pity Ma'am Mirna. Hubby just go home to Miss Mirna's house, let me be the same Umi here," said Rhea who felt bad for Mirna.

"Let him alone now. He had to reflect on his mistake so he could be conscious" said Ustad Fariz, who helped Rhea comb her long hair in front of a mirror.

"But Bie, it's true now is Hubby's time with Ms. Mirna. I understand Bie, just." Rhea hesitantly continued.

"I understand baby without you having to explain. You don't have to think about anything else. You have to think about the health of our child so that he is always healthy in there," now Ustad Fariz crouched down in front of Rhea who was sitting in front of the mirror and gently rubbed Rhea's flat stomach.

Rhea smiled happily getting the treatment from her husband. Rhea's hands rubbed her husband's hair lovingly.

Ustad Fariz kissed Rhea's stomach and smiled happily. He felt very happy if only they could every day and every moment like that.

At home alone makes Mirna more upset. His anger is growing. All the items in his room were sprayed in any direction. Mirna's habits have not changed at all. Every time he gets angry, he always acts like this.

When she was preoccupied with her anger, at first glance she got the idea for her husband to pay attention to her again.

"Yes, I have to do the same with him. I'll reply in the same way" Mirna's grin seemed to signal the success of her plan.

Mirna packed her clothes and personal belongings for her to take with her to her Uncle's house. There was nowhere else he could go but his Uncle's house. This time she was determined not to return home as long as she had not been picked up by her husband.

Luckily his Uncle's house is close to Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin so he can get there only on foot.

Mr. Ratmo was shocked when he opened the door and found Mirna to his house late at night unaccompanied or escorted by her husband.

Mirna insists on staying at her Uncle's house until her husband picks her up. Mr. Ratmo advised Mirna to return home and talk about their problems well, but Mirna refused and she told him everything that happened based on her version.

Mr. Ratmo is disappointed with Mirna's husband but he is well acquainted with Mirna's husband who became Kyai in charge at the Pesantren Cottage where he served. Mr. Ratmo could not believe that if Mirna's husband behaved like that, then he should take the middle path, he should ask Mirna's husband.

The next day, Ustad Fariz met Mr. Ratmo in his office. Mr. Ratmo said Mirna came to his house last night with her clothes on. Mr. Ratmo asked for an explanation from Ustad Fariz as Mirna's husband.

Ustad Fariz told him everything that happened without covering it up. Actually Ustad Fariz did not want to tell the household problems with others, but because Mirna who ran away from home and lived in his Uncle's house without his knowledge, he said, inevitably Ustad Fariz had to explain it because Uncle Mirna asked him for an explanation.

Mr. Ratmo became dizzy because the story of Mirna and Ustad Fariz versions was different. Even Mr. Ratmo trusted Ustad Fariz more than Mirna who was his own nephew.

Mr. Ratmo apologized to Ustad Fariz for Mirna's outrageous attitude and nature. And he asked that Ustad Fariz would forgive Mirna and invite her back home.

But unfortunately Ustad Fariz says that she will not pick up Mirna because Mirna left without her husband's permission. He'll forgive her if Mirna comes home by herself.

There was nothing Mr. Ratmo could do to persuade his Kyai of it. He was also very embarrassed by his nephew. Especially with Umi Sarifah, she felt reluctant to meet because she was too ashamed of him.

At night when Mr. Ratmo came home from Al-Mukmin Pesantren Cottage, Mirna asked enthusiastically to her Uncle. She asked if her husband was confused looking for her and asked her Uncle.

Mr Ratmo did not answer. He only advised Mirna to come home soon and act like a good wife. And he gives examples of good wife attitude to Mirna.

Mirna is still the stubborn Mirna. She did not listen to her Uncle advising her, she was instead busy swearing at her husband and honeymoon inwardly.

As usual, after the tarawih prayer at the residence of Umi Sarifah they ate together. Umi Sarifah, Ustad Jaki, Ustad Fariz and Rhea were at the dinner table and ate the food that had been prepared at the dinner table.

"Tumben Mbak Mirna isn't here? It seemed like this whole day was peaceful when he wasn't doing anything," Ustad Jaki started talking as they drank tea in the living room while watching TV.

"He's not home" replied Ustad Fariz, taking the milk from the pregnant woman on the table to drink it to Rhea.

"Where's Mirna going Bie?" rhea asked before opening her mouth when the milk glass Ustad Fariz was holding was in front of her mouth.

"So afternoon his uncle came to the office and said that Mirna was staying there last night" Ustad Fariz answered lightly.
