The tring!
The notification sound of a message from Salsa's phone shocked her while she was reading a book by Rhea that she had borrowed from her Mandanya.
"Who the hell? Males really," Salsa said without looking at her phone.
A few minutes later the message was heard again. The voice distracts Salsa from the book she reads because the message sounds repeatedly.
Salsa's eyes glazed over, there were even a hint of tears dripping down her cheeks while reading Rhea's books.
"Who sent the message, a prank," said Salsa annoyed.
Unwilling to be distracted again when reading, Salsa's hand grabbed her phone and opened the message that there was so much of it.
Salsa's eyes widened looking at the twenty messages Izam had sent her. Open one by one the message. And her tears came back as she read all the messages Izam had sent her.
The pain in his heart was back. Even now unconsciously her tears came flooding her face until she was as excited.
"It is very sad the story of Mother," said Salsa in between her sobs.
She refused to say that she was crying because of the message from Izam, she preferred to say it because of something else.
As was the case at that time, she cried because she saw Izam, but she said she cried because she ate very spicy rujak. And now she cries for reading all the messages from Izam, but she says she cries for reading Rhea's books.
He really did not want to look weak in front of anyone, even in front of himself he refused to say that he was weak.
Salsa did not reply to the message from Izam at all, she just read it and just got hurt.
Though the contents of Izam's message only asked him the news, asked Salsa's change of attitude to him and asked why Salsa had never played at his house and told Salsa to immediately reply to his message.
I don't know why all of Izam's messages made his heart so sick. Had he not been in a state of avoiding Izam to heal his wounds, he would have been very quick to reply to those messages. And now all of that was just a scar in his heart.
About thirty minutes passed after Izam's messages were read, now Salsa's phone again rang, not the message notification, but the phone ringing sound from Izam that seemed to require Salsa to pick it up.
"It looks like he knows if I read the message and won't reply. Stupid, ah, I don't want to hurt anymore. Eating meatballs can calm my heart," Salsa monologued as she stood up from her seat.
After picking up her bag, Salsa immediately walked towards the living room. There was the sound of knocking on the door and a familiar voice in his ear called out his name.
He opened the door and found Yasmin at the door. After that he took Yasmin away to buy meatballs at the stall in front of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin.
Salsa suddenly cried while eating her super spicy meatballs with an additional seven spoons of sambal.
"Sir Yasmin why are you crying? Is anyone sick?" ask Yasmin worriedly.
"The meat is very spicy," said Salsa interrupted by his snot.
Yasmin immediately gave Salsa a tissue to wipe away the snot that flowed out with her tears.
Yasmin looked at Salsa with a probing look. He had actually seen Salsa's strange demeanor starting from them on the way to the meatball stall. And now Salsa is crying again like that time, when they eat super spicy rujak.
It turned out that was Salsa's way of letting out her cries. She let out her tears by eating super spicy food to let her cry out and her heart was relieved.
After her crying subsided and her meal was over, Salsa drank her sweet iced tea with a single sip without pause.
Yasmin could only gawk at Salsa's behavior while enjoying her meatballs and iced tea.
"Ouch...."
"Salsa brother, Salsa why?" Yasmin panicked as she held Salsa's body sitting curled up holding her stomach.
In her Abi room, Izam was very restless looking at her phone. The messages he sent to Salsa were read but not answered. Izam became impatient and worried because Salsa was not usually like that.
Immediately press the phone button on the Salsa contact. Until it rang many times, the phone was not picked up.
Izam who was sitting on the sofa in her Abi room became panicked. He stood up from his sitting position, then he sat down again. After that he stood up again and walked back and forth in front of his Abi who was sitting at his desk reading the draft program Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin proposed by Ustadz Jaki.
"You why the hell is Zam? Mondar mandir is like his bini want aja lahiran," said Ustadz Fariz while looking at Izam with a look of wonder.
"Abi nih, people are worried even in other words," said Izam who stopped from pacing his mandir.
"You have finally given up on Abi just as your mother has been listening to you with Yasmin. Abi is worried, anxious and panicked exactly like you are right now" Ustadz Fariz said, chuckling.
Izam scowled annoyedly, then he said,
"This is Bi, Salsa is not usually like gini. Is he in trouble? He changed Bi, even Izam was tainted with him. Now he's kind of avoiding Izam."
Ustadz Fariz stopped his work, then he looked at Izam and said,
"When was Zam?"
Izam seemed to be thinking, he examined when Salsa must have turned indifferent and avoided him.
"It seems that ever since Kyai Anwar's family came to the house at that time Bi. Ever since he left the living room," Izam replied.
Ustadz Fariz smiled, he actually understood what was going on, only that he was not willing to interfere with the problems they were facing because he thought it was not time to interfere in their affairs.
"You're really worried about Salsa huh Zam?" asked Ustadz Fariz while chuckling.
"So this is how, from childhood we are always together, he is like Izam's sister, just like Yasmin and we never stay away until like this Bi," Izam replied as he sat in the front seat of his Abi.
"Are you sure you only think of him as Zam's brother or sister?" ustadz asked Fariz, looking into Izam's eyes, looking at the honesty from Izam's eyes.
Not yet Izam replied, the sound of his phone ringing. He took the phone out of his pants pocket. His eyes widened perfectly when he saw the name of Yasmin's contact on his phone screen. And he immediately picked up his phone.
"Assalamu'alaikum, what's up Yasmin?" Izam said after picking up his phone.
Wa'alaikumussalam's... Brother Izam please Yasmin, there is a panicked voice from Yasmin across there.
"Yasmin, what's wrong with you?" tanya Izam was no less panicked with Yasmin.
Ustadz Fariz, who heard Yasmin's name, was called in a panicked tone by Izam and immediately approached Izam.
Brother Salsa, sister Salsa is in pain. Quickly Brother Izam please Brother Salsa, Yasmin replied with tremendous panic.
"Salsa why? What's he sick of? Where are you guys?" Izam asked who grew panicked when he heard Salsa was sick.
At the front meatball stall of Pondok. Quickly, Izam, replied Yasmin who then immediately turned off her phone because Salsa was now very weak and cold sweat.
