Chapter 15 Jealousy

"Can we talk for a second?" ask Ustad Jaki to someone across the street.

Ustad Fariz looked at Ustad Jaki with jealousy.

"When can the third book surgery be done? These santri have asked for the show to be held again" Ustad Jaki said in a seductive tone.

Ustad Fariz let out a heavy sigh to ease his jealousy. Ustad Jaki glanced at Ustad Fariz who was tormented with jealousy, she smiled cunningly, inwardly she cheered feeling happy her plan had worked.

Tut. tut's...

Ustad Jaki hung up on her phone call. His eyes glanced at Ustad Fariz who was working on his work with a face full of emotion.

"That's why people have to be honest. If you like to say like, if you don't like each other," Ustad Jaki said while doing a run.

After saying so, Ustad Jaki ran out of Ustad Fariz's room as Ustad Fariz's ballpoint pen was already drifting to chase him.

Ustad Jaki again opened the door of Ustad Fariz's room and turned his head into the room.

"I'm angry about the same ballpoint pen," after which he closed the door again quickly afraid of being thrown again by Ustad Fariz.

Ustad Jaki smiled with satisfaction after judging Ustad Fariz.

Still near Ustad Fariz's room, Ustad Jaki meets Mirna who is about to enter her husband's room.

"Udah satisfied Ma'am Mirna humiliated Rhea in the market?" asked Ustad Jaki when he met Mirna.

"Ustad, what do you mean by that?" ask Mirna cynically.

Ustad Fariz heard a noise from inside his room, he saw from the window that Mirna was arguing with Ustad Jaki by mentioning Rhea's name. Ustad Fariz listened from inside the room to what they were arguing about.

"Yesterday in the market Ma'am Mirna why Rhea pelakor right in front of the crowd? Think Ma'am, is Mbak not hurt, not sad if digitukan? Because of Ma'am's actions, Rhea was so blasphemed and humiliated by everyone in the market," Ustad Jaki vented her emotions that were stifled last night.

"Oooh being a woman j*l**g is not the same as Ustad? Basic actors, do not succeed dapetin husband people now move bow to his best friend," said Mirna.

"Murut Mbak is absolutely outrageous. Just so you know, Rhea did not tell anyone. Yesterday Umi herself knew and I knew her from Umi as well. So stop Mbak demeaning others because it will humiliate the husband of Mbak and the good name of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin," Ustad Jaki left Mirna because he did not want to increase emotions by serving the words of Mirna.

Ustad Fariz clenched his hand hearing that his wife was again hurting his Zahra. He was angry at him for not being able to educate his wife and also because his wife's behavior could worsen the name of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin that Kyai Farhan mandated to him. And surely he was also angry because he was his Zahra who felt heartache and humiliation.

Ustad Fariz became even more worried, will he be able to make his Zahra happy if he is with her. He was really afraid that every day Zahra would be tormented because of Mirna.

Ustad Fariz grabbed her hair in frustration.

Ustad Fariz sat in his chair when he heard footsteps approaching his door. In fact he was very unwilling to meet his wife because he was afraid of not being able to control his anger.

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat... Would you like to have lunch at home?" ask Mirna who has entered the room Ustad Fariz.

"Your first, I still have a lot of work to do" replied Ustad Fariz without distracting her from the papers she was reading.

Mirna snorted in annoyance. She sat before Ustad Fariz watching what her husband was doing.

"I'm busy Mirna again" Ustad Fariz said without looking at her face.

"When do you eat it?" whinek Mirna's.

"Later if it's all done" replied Ustad Fariz, who was busy with his papers.

"Eat at home, right?" ask Mirna to make sure.

"Eat in the kitchen of the cottage," replied Ustad Fariz who was still busy reading.

"Dine my cooking Mas, why would Mas eat in the kitchen of Pondok?" mirna protests.

"No, I want to be here" said Mirna.

"Myrna..," Ustad Fariz stared intently at Mirna, leaving Mirna terrified.

"Yes I've come home" Mirna came out of the room without greeting and slammed the door.

This made Ustad Fariz more reluctant to go home. Seeing his wife who always fought against him and often acted as she wished, never thought of the good name of her husband and Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin.

The day went by and Rhea and Ustad Fariz never met. Rhea believes that this is best for them. After strengthening her heart, Rhea immediately contacted Ustad Jaki to inform her of her third book surgery.

Rhea tried to sincerely and patiently accept everything, for as Umi Sarifah said if Allah will not let His servant suffer and there will surely be wisdom of an event because Allah is the most understanding of His servant, for Allah will not give trials beyond the limits of His servant's ability.

Therefore, Rhea gave all to God the owner of life. He promised himself he would face it all without having to hide again. So there is no point in her retreating time for her show at Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin, anyway later also the event is definitely going to be held even though she does not know when the time is.

Ustad Jaki decided that the event would be held tomorrow in its usual place. This time Ustad Jaki deliberately prepared it himself without the knowledge or permission of Ustad Fariz. Ustad Jaki wants this to be a surprise and certainly provoke the jealousy of Ustad Fariz back.

Today also arrived. With careful preparation, Rhea stared at herself in front of the mirror inside her room. Her appearance was so beautiful and graceful using a fuschia-colored syar'i robe with a long hijab covering the front of her chest and the back of her long dangling. It was so quiet and comfortable that she was wearing it.

Rhea did yesterday shop a lot of syar'i games with various colors and models. He is still reluctant to shop outside the house for fear of heartache again which resulted in him will not be able to quickly recover his confidence. Therefore he prefers online shopping this time.

His footsteps were a little heavy. Honest in his deepest little heart, he was not yet ready to meet with Ustad Fariz and Mirna. Rhea was afraid that the events in the market would repeat themselves in this Pesantren Cottage. Rhea was afraid that later she would be scorned, gossiped and denigrated by the santri.

But the intention of Ustad Jaki was misinterpreted by Ustad Fariz. Supposedly if Ustad Fariz thought healthily for sure he would agree with the idea of Ustad Jaki escorting Rhea because it was impossible for Ustad Fariz to escort him, for fear that if provoking Mirna's emotions back. The first day was indeed Ustad Fariz who escorted and accompanied Rhea while in this cottage because Mirna did not know who Rhea really was.

And now Ustad Fariz is overwhelmed with jealousy and disappointment. Jealous of his Zahra closeness to Ustad Jaki and disappointed with the attitude and behavior of his wife.

Rhea walked from the house of Umi Sarifah by wrapping her hands on the arms of Umi sarifah and next to her was Ustad Jaki who accompanied them with her jokes they laughed together.

What a stifling sight to Ustad Fariz's chest. He can only be a guest. In fact, Ustad Fariz was a bit disappointed with Umi Sarifah who did not tell the problem of Rhea and Mirna in the market, but Ustad Fariz was sure if Umi Sarifah had her own thoughts and reasons, and maybe it was for his own good. But I don't know, still as ordinary humans there is envy and jealousy to see the three of them walking together.

Ustad Jaki is really looking after Rhea, she never left Rhea alone despite being with Umi Sarifah. Intentionally Umi Sarifah accompanied Rhea when in this cottage so that Rhea felt safe and comfortable.

For lunch this time, deliberately Ustad Jaki prepared it to eat with the Ustad and Ustadzah in the cottage so that Rhea felt comfortable. Ustad Jaki is afraid that if he eats at Umi Sarifah's house, Mirna will come and join them in eating with them. Rhea would be uncomfortable. Umi Sarifah agreed and left everything to Ustad Jaki to take care of it.

That afternoon as expected, Mirna came to Umi Sarifah's house to eat together, because she was sure that Rhea was also with them for lunch together.

Mirna's face turned disappointed when she found no one at the dinner table. He asked Mbak Atik who was in charge of helping Umi in the kitchen, and he had to swallow the disappointment because Mbak Atik said that they were all having lunch outside. He cursed his foolishness that did not come from earlier. He was busy dressing up from earlier so as not to lose to Rhea who was much younger than him.

The Ustad and Ustadzah were delighted and honored to eat with Umi Sarifah, Ustad Fariz whom they now call Kyai Fariz and also Rhea the famous author and influencer. They unceasingly praised Rhea's talent and beauty

And because of the proximity of Rhea accompanied by Ustad Jaki anywhere it makes them sure if there is a special relationship between Ustad Jaki and Rhea. They tease Ustad Jaki and Rhea as a couple, and they ask when Ustad Jaki and Rhea's wedding date is.

Of course it kindled the flames of jealousy in the heart of Ustad Fariz. He couldn't swallow his food. He wanted to get away from the place so as not to see and hear the closeness of Ustad Jaki and Rhea, but he also did not want to leave his Zahra close to Ustad Jaki. What a matter of the heart can confuse his head and torment his mind. He gripped it tightly with his joints and a fork in his hand to channel his anger.

Ustad Jaki is of course happy to see the grouchy and upset-faced Ustad Fariz. He deliberately heated up by looking more familiar with Rhea so that Ustad Fariz was jealous and realized his deepest feelings in order to quickly make his choice.

As the event ended, Rhea tidied up her books and equipment in the hall, Ustad Fariz ventured to greet and inquire about Rhea. Of course Rhea was very shocked and nervous, but as much as possible she said efficiently to quickly finish their conversation.

Ustad Jaki who saw Ustad Fariz and Rhea awkward and nervous, he laughed amusedly and again launched the action.
