After Mr. Ratmo returned from work, he took the time to meet with RT sir in accordance with his orders earlier.
"Assalamu'alaikum..," Mr. Ratmo said a greeting.
"Wa'alaikumussalam..," replied someone from inside the house.
"Oh Mr. Ratmo, please enter sir," said Mr. RT as his hand invited Mr. Ratmo to enter the living room.
"Thank you sir" said Mr. Ratmo as he walked into the living room.
"Sorry sir, what exactly am I being called here?" Mr. Ratmo asked RT with a sigh.
"Look sir, I want to ask you, what is the relationship between Ms Mirna and the man who lives in Mr Ratmo's house?" ask RT sir to Mr. Ratmo.
"What's wrong, sir, why did Mr RT ask about their relationship?" Mr. Ratmo asked RT.
"Look sir, I've been getting reports from the residents that Ms. Mirna with the man has a baby. Are they married sir? If not, I beg you to marry them immediately because this is a request from all residents Pak," Mr. RT explained to Mr. Ratmo.
"But the baby is not their son sir. The baby was indeed a Pandu child with his wife who died at the time of giving birth to the baby. And Mirna only helps to take care of him when Pandu is working. I don't think it's a problem, sir. We're just helping him because he rented my house behind it to live with his son" Mr. Ratmo tried to explain to RT.
"But they felt that the relationship between Ms. Mirna and the man was too close, sir, said everyone they were like husband and wife. And it's not just the people around here, sir, who say that. People in the market also argue that way," RT sir responded to an explanation from Mr. Ratmo.
"Then how do we explain it to all of them sir. I hope Mr. RT can explain it to them so that they do not think like that anymore" Mr. Ratmo pleaded with RT sir.
"So sir, I better call a representative of them just so Mr. Ratmo can speak to them himself," said Mr. RT later.
Mr. RT also left Mr. Ratmo to call representatives from the residents who made reports about Mirna and Pandu to him.
Not long after that, came some people who were known to Mr. Ratmo as residents around his area. They started talks about their complaint saying that Mirna and Pandu tarnished the good name of their village.
They requested that Mirna and Pandu be married immediately if they were not married. And when they are married, they want Mirna and Pandu to show their marriage certificate as proof.
For about two hours they discussed the matter of Mirna and Pandu. After that Mr. Ratmo came home with a shrouded mind and concern for Mirna, Pandu and also the two Pandu children.
Mr. Ratmo is really very sorry for Hana and the Emir who are still very small if they do not have a place to live.
"Assalamu'alaikum..," Mr. Ratmo gave his greetings as he entered the house.
"Wa'alaikumussalam..," answered Anita who came out from inside her room.
"Old sir came home? Is there an event at Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin?" asked Anita when welcoming Mr. Ratmo.
"There is no event at Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin, only that Mr. had stopped by Mr. RT's house first," replied Mr. Ratmo while looking at Anita as if he wanted to convey something.
"What's up, sir? How did the tumben-tumbenan Pak RT call Mr?" anita asked back by showing her face.
"Can you talk to me for a second?" mr. Ratmo asked doubtfully.
"May dong Pak. Where are we going to talk, sir?" Anita answered and asked her father again.
"In your room alone Nit" replied Mr. Ratmo as he walked into Anita's room.
Anita followed Mr. Ratmo into her room and sat on her bed next to Mr. Ratmo.
"Look Nduk, it's about Mirna and Pandu" Mr. Ratmo paused his speech to think for a moment.
"Mbak Mirna and Mas Pandu? What's wrong with them, sir?" ask Anita in wonder.
Mr. Ratmo told Anita why he was called by RT sir and also shared his discussion with the representatives of the citizens about the matter of Mirna and Pandu.
"Then sir what about your decision?" ask Anita to Mr. Ratmo.
"Father wants to marry the two of them, Mirna with Pandu," replied Mr. Ratmo as he looked at Anita's face.
Anita was shocked to hear the answer from her father, and she thought for a moment before she finally asked her father.
"Is there no other way, sir?"
"Father can't think there's another way. Earlier, the Father also discussed with them, then the father had been there for a long time. And their decision remains that way. Mirna and Pandu should get married. Otherwise, the two of them would have to move out of this village. You are very confused Nduk," said Mr. Ratmo lethargic.
"Do they both want to sir?" ask Anita back to her father.
"There is no other way if they do not want to move from this house" replied Mr. Ratmo.
"Bapak will know for himself if Mbak Anita attitude like that with Mas Pandu and his two children. What do you think Miss Mirna wants, sir?" ask Anita back to her father.
"But you see Mirna is very happy to take care of Emir and Hana. If with Pandu, you do not know. But maybe their feelings of love will grow as they live together" replied Mr. Ratmo.
Anita just silently listened to what her father said, and she thought again about Mirna and Pandu.
"How about Nit, did you approve of this marriage? And does Pandu want to do it?" ask Mr. Ratmo to Anita.
As Pandu passed through Anita's room to retrieve the baby Emir, she heard what Mr. Ratmo asked Anita.
"If Anita agrees, sir. And if Mas Pandu.. mending you ask yourself, just aja," replied Anita while smiling at her father.
Is Mr Ratmo going to marry me to Anita? ask Pandu in his heart.
"Yes already Nit, I want to go to Mirna first," said Mr. Ratmo while standing and walking out of the room.
Pandu immediately went into hiding when he heard that Mr. Ratmo would come out of Anita's room. And he pretended to walk into Mr. Ratmo's house when Anita came out of his room.
"Eh Nit, where's Emir?" ask Pandu by showing his smile.
"You want to take it home?" ask Anita on Pandu.
"Yes Nit. Is he sleeping?" ask Pandu back.
"Before a minute, let Nita take it first in Miss Mirna's room. From earlier the same Emir Ma'am Mirna kept in his room. Mas Pandu just sat there," Anita said as she pointed to a chair in the room to watch television.
And Anita went into Mirna's room to take the Emir. Inside the atmosphere is tense. Anita only hopes that she will not be exposed to the tantrums of Mirna.
"How is Mir, are you willing to marry Pandu?" ask Mr. Ratmo to Mirna.
