Armed with information from several people about the location of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin, Pandu and his family walked to Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin.
several times they stopped to rest in some places. The distance between the highway and Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin is still very far away, and it looks like they will not be able to get to tonight because Hana is getting tired and sleepy.
"We rest here first yes," said Pandu while taking his wife and child to sit at the patrol post.
Ani according to follow Pandu who was carrying Hana because of the tiredness of walking earlier. Ani looked around the post which was already deserted and it seemed like everyone had ventured into dreamland.
Then Ani turned her gaze to Hana who was asleep in Pandu's lap. He felt sorry for Hana who was still very small to feel all this. Ani was truly lamenting that her life would never be expected to be like a homeless homeless man.
"Sleep, tomorrow morning let's continue the journey. Hopefully, there are people in this area who need my energy to work," Pandu told Ani who seemed to be thinking.
Ani nodded, obeying her husband's words to rest because it seemed like she needed to rest. Actually from earlier Ani's stomach was painful and tight, but she did not dare to complain to her husband. Only felt the pain itself, because she did not want to trouble her husband who would certainly be very worried about her.
The dawn prayer rang out in Pandu's ears. He immediately woke his wife to wake up before the locals saw them sleeping there.
"Eyeah... An.. wake up, it's dawn" said Pandu while moving Ani's body.
"Emmmm... What's wrong?" asked Ani who still could not open her eyes perfectly.
"It's dawn, we better get out of here soon," replied Pandu while helping Ani sit out of her sleep.
Ani tried to be fully conscious. He opened his eyes wide while covering his mouth as he yawned.
"Still sleepy?" ask Ani.
"Yes Mas, last night can not sleep well, many mosquitoes," Ani replied as she rubbed her eyes back after yawning.
"It can work now, right? Hana does not need to be awakened, let me just carry her," said Pandu while standing and holding Hana who was still very asleep.
"It looks like Hana is very exhausted. Sorry we still have no place to live" said Pandu who felt guilty to his son and wife.
"It's okay Mas, hopefully soon we will get a place to live and work" said Ani while walking along with Pandu.
According to the direction of some people, finally Pandu and Ani found a gate that read 'Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin'.
"It looks like it's Mas' place" Ani said as he pointed towards the gate that read 'Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin'.
Pandu nodded as Ani turned her gaze from the gate to Pandu.
"May we have good news. Let's go there," said Pandu while lowering Hana who was awake.
The three of them walked towards the gate of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin with Hana in the middle in the sidewalk by Pandu and Ani.
"Excuse me sir, can we meet with the party from Pondok Pesantren this?" Pandu asked the security guard who was at the security post.
"What do you need, sir? Are you one of the santri guardians here?" ask the security guard to Pandu.
"Not sir, we just want to meet with this Pondok Pesantren party, because I am in need of a job and who knows they need my energy to work," replied Pandu with a little embarrassment to the Security Guard.
"I'm sorry sir, I can't decide that. Better Mr-"
"Please sir let me meet and talk to the owner, just once sir.... Pity our son if he has to go back aimlessly," Pandu arrived at the security guard by removing his pride for the sake of his son.
The security guard seemed to be thinking, he again noticed the tired-faced Hana after waking up.
"For a while sir I ask first," the security guard told Pandu.
The security guard spoke to another fellow security guard at the security post, then one of them left.
After some time, the security guard returned and invited Pandu and his family to the house of Umi Sarifah of course by taking them.
"Assalamu'alaikum..," the security guard greeted him at the door of Umi Sarifah's house.
"Wa'alaikumussalam..," replied someone from inside the house.
"Atik, Umi Sarifah or Kyai Fariz are there? Here's someone I want to meet. I had asked Umi Sarifah he was told to bring it here" said the security guard when the door was opened by Mbak Atik.
"After I call first," replied Mbak Atik who then went into the house to call Umi Sarifah and Ustadz Fariz.
Not long after Umi Sarifah came out of the house and let Pandu and his son and wife into the living room. While the security guard who had delivered Pandu and his family to the house of Umi Sarifah, now back to the security post.
"What do you need? Is there anything we can help you with?" Umi Sarifah asked Pandu and Ani when they were already sitting in the living room.
"Sorry Umi, we just came from a distant place last night and we have not found a place to live and work. Sorry, is there a job for me? Anything is okay, as long as we can stay here," said Pandu politely and compassionately.
"That's why Umi doesn't know. In a moment, Umi will call Kyai Fariz first. He is in charge of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin," replied Umi Sarifah with a very soothing smile as usual.
Pandu nodded and waited for Umi Sarifah who went inside to call the Kyai in question earlier.
Before long, Umi Sarifah came out along with Ustadz Fariz. Scouts on Ustadz Fariz and Ustadz Fariz cupped his palms in front of his chest as Ani extended her hand to Ustadz Fariz.
Pandu introduced Ani and Hana to Ustadz Fariz and Umi Sarifah. Then he began to tell them about his purpose in coming to Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin. Ustadz Fariz thought for a moment, because at the Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin was not in need of any labor, but Ustadz Fariz felt sorry for Pandu and his wife's children, moreover, Ustadz Fariz saw Ani's stomach that had looked slightly enlarged due to her pregnancy.
"Umi, is Ustadz Jaki home?" ask Ustadz Fariz to Umi Sarifah.
"What do you want to ask Ustadz Jaki first?" asked Umi Sarifah back to Ustadz Fariz.
"Iya Umi, Ustadz Jaki who knows more about the management of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin," replied Ustadz Fariz.
"See, let Umi call first. It seems like he has not left before," said Umi Sarifah while standing from his seat.
It was not long before Ustadz Jaki sat in the living room chair not without coming with Umi Sarifah because Umi Sarifah preferred to play with Izam and Salsa when passing by them in the living room.
"Rhea, please deliver the drink to the guests in front. Mbak Atik is busy drying clothes at the back," said Umi Sarifah while playing with Izam and Salsa, while Shinta is still getting ready to go to work as usual.
"Rheina Az Zahra!" pandu said unconsciously when he saw Rhea carrying a tray containing drinks for them.
