Like a tub struck by lightning Shinta fell silent. She didn't expect her best friend to get pregnant out of wedlock. And now her best friend begged her to let him marry her husband.
As fast as lightning, Ustadz Jaki snatched Shinta's hand from Tasya's.
"Honey, let's go" Ustadz Jaki said.
"I beg of you. Only you can help me. I promise, I won't interfere with your relationship. I just need you to marry me Jak," Tasya's voice stopped the footsteps of Ustadz Jaki and Shinta who were about to step.
"You're crazy! You think I'm in social service to marry unmarried pregnant women?" Ustadz Jaki grew annoyed after hearing Tasya's request of him.
"Please Jak.... I'm begging.... Shinta wouldn't mind, would she? We're best friends who share our sorrows, right?" Tasya now cornered Shinta with her remarks that seemed to force Shinta to agree to her wishes in the name of their friendship.
"Don't force Shinta to agree to your crazy request. Until whenever I will not want to marry anyone again," Ustadz Jaki is increasingly upset and angry with Tasya who he thinks does not know himself.
Ustadz Jaki again pulled the hand of Shinta who was still in his grasp earlier. But Shinta's other hand was held by Tasya, she wanted to stop Shinta from leaving.
"Honey, for a moment" said Shinta, holding her husband's hand.
Ustadz Jaki turned his head and snorted in annoyance at Shinta who looked at him pleadingly. Ustadz Jaki looked at Shinta as if asking with her eyes. Shinta smiled and nodded. Forced by Ustadz Jaki to obey his wife, he abandoned his intention to leave the place.
"I miss you at all Shinta" said Tasya while hugging Shinta's body making Ustadz Jaki careless to see it.
"Can we talk to you both?" Tasya asked as she unraveled her embrace.
"No. Can't do. Shinta is my wife, so she should always be with me. Moreover, she is pregnant with my child, so I must always take care of her," Ustadz Jaki said tightly to Tasya.
"Ha-pregnant?" Tasya was shocked to release his hand which was still in Shinta's arm.
"Yes, Shinta is pregnant with my child because I am her husband" replied Ustadz Jaki who was still tight on Tasya.
"Really Shin?" now Tasya asked Shinta.
"Well, I can't believe you're so much of a person. I'm her husband, so the child she conceived was my son," Ustadz Jaki said with annoyance as much as his habit of being upset about something.
Shinta held Ustadz Jaki's hand to stop him from speaking. Shinta looked at her husband as if expecting him to fulfill her request and said,
"Darling, let me talk to Tasya, just for a second."
Actually Ustadz Jaki objected, very objected instead. She was afraid that if the gentle and unbearable Shinta to the suffering of others would agree to the ridiculous request of her best friend Tasya.
"No. If you want I will accompany you. If you object, I will not allow it" Ustadz Jaki said firmly.
Shinta was silent for a while, while Tasya was looking for a way so that she could talk to Shinta alone.
"Yes, you're coming with us. It's also free, you can't be banned" Shinta told her husband.
When Ustadz Jaki was upset, he saw Shinta's face, which was also upset with him, so that Ustadz Jaki's annoyance becomes broken because of the anxiety of seeing the face of Shinta who is funny and adorable if he is upset with her. That is why he often makes Shinta upset, so that he can see the funny and adorable face of his wife.
Ustadz Jaki pinched Shinta's nose in a frenzy and smiled seeing Shinta complaining as usual. Tasya who saw Ustadz Jaki and Shinta was happy just because such a simple treatment made her envious. Tasya's hand rubbed his stomach and said inwardly,
Can I be happy like you? Or should I get rid of this innocent fetus? But I can't do it.
After that the three of them looked for a seat at a cafe near the location of the reunion event. There the three of them felt awkward sitting in three with Tasya sitting opposite Shinta and Ustadz Jaki. Tasya had asked Shinta to sit down with him, but Ustadz Jaki strictly forbade him, and he would not be denied any reason.
Tasya lowered his head, he prepared the heart and words that he would convey to Shinta in front of Ustadz Jaki who had now become Shinta's husband who was his best friend.
Tasya took a deep breath and blew it away, then she said,
"I'm impregnated by my coworker Shin."
"And you want me to marry you because you're pregnant with someone else's child. Why isn't he responsible? He did it" Ustadz Jaki expressed her frustration she had felt since then.
"Because I don't love him. He always approached me and told me how he felt. But I don't have any feelings for him. Until finally that morning I suddenly woke up and was in one bed with him. I don't know what happened to me that night and a week ago the doctor told me I was two weeks pregnant. Then what should I do? Should I drop it?" Tasya told her what happened to her with emotion and shed her tears.
"Astaghfirullahaladzim..," Shinta and Ustadz Jaki were privileged when they heard Tasya saying he was aborting.
"You're crazy! The baby is innocent. You and the man are the ones who sinned to make the baby exist. Why am I responsible for mistakes I did not make? Ask the man to account for it all, "Ustadz Jaki let out his frustration again.
"Because I love you Jak. I loved you from long ago until now. I did intend to go back home some time ago to meet you and tell you how I feel about you, but it turns out that you guys are married. And why Shinta? He never loved you, and he was my best friend. Why do you guys have so much for me?" Tasya again cornered the two of them so that made Shinta feel guilty for her.
"A blank slingshot what is it. It's fate, Shinta and I are united. We are married and have children, all of which are His provisions. So don't say such a stupid thing again. I loved Shinta from long ago and up to now. I won't hurt her and won't marry again for any reason. That's my promise to him," now Ustadz Jaki is getting emotional in the face of Tasya.
Shinta looked at her emotional husband. What was said by her husband was able to make Shinta become moved and grateful to greet Ustadz Jaki. Ustadz Jaki never promised her anything before marriage or after marriage, especially about polygamy. There was a sigh of happiness in Shinta's heart until she gave thanks in her heart.
"I don't love him. I love her just as much as you Jak. And aren't you now Ustadz? You will definitely help me, no. You don't want to see me abort my womb or see my body later? I beg Jak, marry me," Tasya pleaded with tears, he was about to grab Ustadz Jaki's hand but Ustadz Jaki swiftly withdrew his hand.
"It's precisely because I understand the rules so I can easily decide not to marry you. Besides I don't want to marry you, you can't marry anyone but that man, because God forbid a pregnant woman from getting married," ustadz Jaki said with a triumphant smile.
Tasya was stunned, he did not think that far. Everything he had planned could be easily rejected by Ustadz Jaki.
"Then what should I do? Shinta. help me, help this friend of yours. You are pregnant too, right? So you can feel what I feel. I beg Shin..," Tasya said to Shinta.
Shinta looked with compassion at her friend, if she could help him she would help him in any way. But this, sharing a husband? Shinta really never imagined she would be able to do it. And he hates that so much.
"Tasya, you are my best friend, but if I have to share a husband, I can't do that. Sorry...," Shinta said it out loud.
Ustadz Jaki's lips curled upwards. She is happy with the answer from Shinta who will not let go of her husband even though it is at her best friend.
"You're evil Shin. You don't consider our friendship anymore" Tasya looked at Shinta in annoyance.
"It's not like that. The man is still alive and he can take responsibility. You must hold her accountable" Shinta corrected Tasya's accusation against her.
"What if that man is gone, I can marry Jaki?" ask Tasya to Shinta.
"No!" sahut Ustadz Jaki firmly.
"Sorry, I can't" Shinta replied with a gentle look at Tasya.
"Well, I think you want to see me abort this fetus or else I'll die of shame. And I make sure you will regret it" Tasya said with emotion as he left Ustadz Jaki and Shinta still sitting there.
Shinta is shocked to hear Tasya's last words to her. Unlike Ustadz Jaki who seemed relaxed and happy because Tasya left them.
"Basic strange woman. We should have gone first because we were angry with him. Eh this is even turned back, he who went first, wear angry again," Ustadz Jaki grumbled while chuckling.
Shinta was silent, she thought about what her best friend said. Friends who have been close to him, sharing whatever is good or sad. And now Shinta feels guilty for not being able to help her friend who is in trouble.
