CHAPTER 5

The sky looks a little cloudy this morning. The sun refused to come out of hiding. The streets of the capital look solid as usual days. Grey clouds swirled in the eyes of Alina.

She is currently sitting with her husband in a four-wheeled vehicle. Silence is created when awkwardness continues to surround the two. In her cradle Aqeela fell asleep so soundly. He hopes time passes quickly. She could not stay with her husband for long. Alina knows that feelings can't be forced. However, can it be delivered?

Alina just wanted some relief in her chest. Not a sense of tightness that comes every time it hits. Can it disappear? Can the husband accept it? The head in the hijab shook as several questions turned in his mind. Alina realized that she was not a substitute, but someone who could help her husband's family.

It's okay Alina can take it with her chest, even though there must be tears around. He hoped the rainy season would soon disappear in him. However, it was just wishful thinking. In fact, the husband only considers her a nurse, nothing more.

"I'm sorry."

"God....!"

The apology that was thrown from Azam immediately shocked Alina. The woman turned to her husband who was seriously driving. Did he not hear wrong? Azam apologized? Thought flogging.

"I'm sorry for bothering you, but this is the only way. I don't want to see Yasmin suffer more. I just want to see him smile. Because her smile is my happiness." A smile was also flashing there.

Alina who kept looking at him understood. One thing he believed in was that Azam, "Mas, really loved Ms. Yasmin, right?"

"Eung, I love her so much. I can't lose him. Whatever he wants me to do."

"That includes this marriage." Benak Alina continued.

Like a thorn in her chest, Alina clenched her right hand. He tried not to disturb Aqeela who was asleep in her arms. However, no matter how hard he endured the pain continued to linger.

"When am I in this position? O Allah, are you able to endure? Hah~ no.... no Alina you have to endure. There is a God who strengthens." His mind again while looking down in trying to get rid of the pain.

Azam saw it. He did not say anything more just letting the silence dominate. He knew how Alina felt. His timid-looking attitude so clearly illustrated that sense. If Alina loves him.

"I'm sorry," said Azam.

Not long after they arrived at one of the senior midwives' clinics there. Alina then went down and rushed Aqeela for immunization. Without saying a word he just left. Azam understood and did not bother about it.

Finally the awkwardness is over. Alina could breathe a little relieved, at least free from being with Azam.

...***...

One month passed, the domestic life of Alina and Azam had no development at all. Like an empty shell in it there is nothing. There is no hope of light to shine. Only the dark kept covering him. There were only tears coming out at all times.

Grievous, perishable, but unable to do anything. Alina was aware of her position there.

Alina continued to hide her deepest feelings. However, how clever he hid it will be blown too.

Just like this time, Yasmin who was sitting in the living room saw clearly how the honey was pairing a tie in the collar of the husband's shirt. The awkwardness and red tinge on the woman's cheeks made her curl the crescent moon.

"Ahh, it turns out that she really loves her husband. I did not wrongly marry them both. Mas Azam, loved the right woman. If I go later Mas Az-"

"Yasmine?" call the husband who cuts his words in the mind. Yasmin did not realize that Azam was crouching right in front of her.

"Ahh Mas, yes?" the question is clumsy and then displays a smile.

"There's nothing." Surely and again curled the crescent moon on the lips ranum.

Azam smiled looking at his wife's bright face. He hadn't seen Yasmin like this in a long time. He believes the disease lodged in the wife can be cured. Must, he couldn't lose his heart.

"I'm happy" Azam said, making Yasmin frown, astonished.

"Hmm?"

"I can see you smiling again, honey. Thank you for holding on for me and our son." Azam fused his forehead with his wife.

Smiles spread on both lips. Not only that, Azam also put a warm kiss on the forehead of the soulmate. Not knowing if a heart is hurt.

Alina who was still silent not far from their existence only smiled wryly. His head shook and then moved from there. He could see no longer the harmony expressed by his first husband and wife.

It was like sowing lemon juice on a wound. Perih is very sore. Like swallowing bile, it feels bitter to taste.

Alina chose to go and harbored everything, again.

Hearing footsteps, Yasmin pushed both shoulders. Her net then looked at where Alina was going. He knew that right now the woman was harboring his feelings. Guilt haunted him.

"Mas, next time don't do this in front of Alina."

Azam knitted his eyebrows together, hearing the words of his wife. "Ehh, what's wrong? I'm telling you husband and wife.

"But Alina is also Mas's wife. I don't want to hurt her heart. I want you to treat him the same. It should be before leaving for work Mas kiss first Alina's forehead. And Alina shone in Mas's hands, you also have husband and wife" Yasmin said, making Azam speechless.

He then moved and picked up the briefcase next to Yasmin. "I left first" Azam said without replying to his wife.

Yasmin just sighed. He also understood that the husband had not yet opened his heart to another woman, even though it was his own wife.

"I hope before I go Mas already loves Alina." He looked at Azam's departure.

In the yard Alina was sitting holding Aqeela while staring blankly ahead. He did not know what to react to each time he saw the intimacy of his first husband and wife. He realized that Azam did not consider their marriage at all. However, Alina still hopes there is little appreciation as a wife.

Love sometimes brings unexpected surprises. He will go to whomever he wishes. Alina also did not expect if the taste grew quickly for people's husbands. He thought about just letting go. However, it turns out that God's plan no one knows. God has united them in the holy bond of marriage.

"I go to work first, Assalamu'alaikum." The heavy voice and the soft clap on the top of her head made Alina startled.

He was unaware of Azam's sudden arrival. Instantly, his heart beat too fast. Alina flinched as the touch on her head was still felt. He kept looking at the figure of the husband until his existence disappeared in view.

"Wa-wa'alaikumsalam," she was nervous.

It was the first time since they married Azam to say goodbye to him. An instant of a smile was present on Alina's beautiful face. At least his presence in the house is still appreciated. Although only a little.

"It hurts, but I'm happy to be with the man I love. I'm sure that someday, our household will change" said Alina.
