CHAPTER 45

Heart beat increased sharply when the incoming message from the friend proclaims the condition of the wife. Not waiting for anything more Azam returned to the cancer-specific hospital not far from there.

The clock was showing early in the morning, all night he continued to wake up without any time to rest. Two events that come together give a strong blow in yourself. He realized that he had wasted a lot of time when two wives were with him.

Silent, desolate dominates to welcome his arrival again. Azam continued to run non-stop towards the fifth floor where Yasmin was being treated. Arriving there, he saw Angga standing right in front of the wife's room.

Footsteps are getting weaker, the eyes that radiate from his best friend freeze themselves. The premonition of not wearing one came just like that quickly.

"Come in!" angga rau.

Without saying a word, Azam immediately followed where his feet were about to walk. Inside, Yasmin opened her eyes, smiling weakly and welcoming her arrival. Medical devices that originally adorned the wife's body are now disappearing. It gives a big question mark in him, he hopes nothing happens, but the destiny of God no one knows.

"Mas," call Yasmin down.

His frail hand was raised to reach the husband, Azam hurriedly grasped it warmly. The pale face caught sight, the two cheeks that were originally filled were now tapered, the eyes that had always looked at him warm were now sunken, their red lips were fading with time.

Watching the scene was like an invisible knife tearing at feelings. Azam tried his hardest not to cry in front of Yasmin.

"Mas, can you take me to the park? I want to sit there with you" Yasmin said later.

Azam shook his head several times and sat down on the edge of the bed.

"No, you can't go anywhere, and again why are the medical devices removed? W-are you okay?" tanyanya nervous.

A smile was present again, Yasmin returned the grip of the husband's hand no less tightly. He tried to get up and hold the pain in himself, Azam immediately helped and looked at him closely.

"I don't need those tools anymore, baby I beg you.

Seeing that parched face, Azam could not resist.

"Did Angga allow you to get out of this room? Honey, your condition-"

"I'm fine," Yasmin cut quickly, the perfect sabait moon arch was present reassuring her husband.

"Are you sure? It's still dark, honey, what if it's early in the morning?" tawar Azam's.

Yasmin shook her head briefly, "no dear, I want to go now and see the sunrise with you. I heard that the garden behind the hospital was so fitting to see it, I wanted to feel the warmth of the sun again."

Azam has no power to stem the sadness, tears have been pooled in his pelupuknya ready to slide at any time. He again tried his hardest not to cry in front of Yasmin.

After struggling with his own thoughts, Azam let out a long sigh and exhaled slowly then carried Yasmin away from the hospital room. Both of her weak hands were tightly coiled around her husband's neck. The radiating cab instantly filled the olfactory cavity, she missed her husband dearly.

"But before that we do the dawn prayer first" he asked.

Yasmin who was in the sling only nodded weakly following him. It seemed that he had not prayed with Azam for a long time after being in the hospital. That moment that he most yearns to be the mother of the husband has been his hope for a long time.

The Angga who were still there looked at their departure with mixed feelings. Both of his hands clenched firmly pressing the stuffy inside his chest.

"O Allah, strengthen them. On both sides of Azam the same event, O Allah, grant him fortitude" murmured Angga, without tears falling down his cheeks.

After performing the morning prayer, Azam fulfilled his promise. Cold air immediately welcomed the couple, the wind blows quietly accompany togetherness. There was no one there but the two of them who were sitting on a park bench under a shady tree.

As coolness approached, Yasmin further tightened herself in the lap of her husband. A sweet smile is present when the longing that has been hidden is channeled. He longed for his friendship with Azam.

"Honey, you know how much I love you" Yasmin said after a long silence.

"I knew. I love you so much too" Azam replied and gave a warm kiss on the top of his head.

A warm feeling spread within the chest, Yasmin tightened her arms and smiled happily. He is happy to be with the man he loves the most, from the past until now.

"I also want Mas to love Alina."

Some time Azam silenced his mouth and looked down where Yasmin was closing his eyes with a thin red hue on his face. He also rested his chin on the head of the wife inhaling deeply the aroma that had been missed so much.

"I love Alina.

Yasmin felt warm over her head and realized that her husband was crying in silence with his body shaking slowly.

"Thank God, I can go quietly."

The buzzing sound immediately made Azam's brownish bead perfectly widened, he released their embrace and cupped the wife's warm cheeks.

"What are you talking about? Who's gonna go? There won't be anyone who leaves me again." With tears in his eyes he looked warmly at his wife.

Yasmin clasped both hands perched on the cheek tightly. A weak smile was again present trying to give peace to her husband.

"We do not know what will happen, if indeed the worst possibility comes. Mas, I love Alina so much, don't you? Thank God she gave birth last night, didn't she? My God you can be a happy family forever, I'll leave Aqeela to you and Alina, yeah. Tell her I love her so much and I'm sorry I couldn't be the best mom."

The clear liquid could not be prevented from rushing there, the words Yasmin spoke were like delivering an arrow shot right at the target. Painful, but not bleeding, the definition describes Azam's feelings now.

"Alina, she. I beg you not to leave me alone."

Azam cried like a child begging very, Yasmin shook her head at a glance and turned to cupping her husband's handsome face.

"Alina still has a chance to survive, while I-"

Yasmin did not finish her speech and immediately lunged at Azam's sturdy body. Tears poured out without being held back, both of them crying silently in fear of loss.

The originally dark sky slowly displayed a tinge of red on the horizon. Slowly the light from the sun shone giving warmth to Yasmin's pale face. His feelings were getting better and better, but his defense collapsed instantly.

"I love you so much, I'm sorry I couldn't be the best mother and wife for you. Thank you so much for the precious time we spent together, thank you. I wanted to be by her side as she started talking and calling me Mamah, I wanted to see her in her school uniform, working and getting married, but................I can't do that. I'm sorry, I love and love you guys so much."

Word by word delivered one by one thorn into the heart of Azam. He cried with no power to endure the tears of pain. He was aware of the situation of his first wife, do'a hope also continued to spark in the mind, hoping things would be better. However, he can only plan and all that determines is God alone. God knows what is best for each of his servants. There is wisdom behind every event that happens and it is certainly for the good of His servant.

Slowly the two eyelids of Yasmin close to hide the clear hazelnuts.

Azam who felt the temperature change of his wife was crying. He hugged Yasmin's limp body tightly with mixed feelings. Loss cannot be prevented, Yasmin leaves and does not return.
