CHAPTER 18

Meet him like the weather, sometimes rain, windy, hot or arid. His unpredictable attitude ushered in grief, sadness and happiness. As it is today, the sky still displays gray clouds up there. Not windy, but delivering cold air. Relax, not a single tree was swept away by the wind.

Just like the atmosphere Alina was feeling right now. He was sitting sweetly enjoying breakfast with his husband and his first wife, Yasmin. Not far from their whereabouts, Sarah was holding Aqeela. Viewed from any angle the family looks harmonious. Two women married the same man living side by side in one house.

However, no one knew if each of them were harboring invisible wounds. Can only survive, because all has become a destiny from God to continue to live. It was painful and full of tears. However, the situation continues and becomes a habit.

"Hemm, hoek-"

In the midst of being together they suddenly felt nauseous. He hurried from there to the sink in his room. He did not want to disturb and eventually isolated himself.

Azam stiffened in place and followed where his wife was going. Yasmin smiled and continued to enjoy her breakfast.

Not long after Azam broke down the door of the room and rushed to find his wife. Inside the bathroom was Alina sitting limp with a deathly pale face. Concerns immediately erupted in the chest, Azam immediately carried his wife and laid her on the bed.

"What happened to Al? Why are you vomiting?" tanyanya.

"I don't know either, Mom. I suddenly felt dizzy and nauseous" he said.

"Maybe Alina's pregnant, Mas."

The statement made both of them look to the side. There Yasmin was standing and leaning against the doorway. A faint smile was present vibrating the pain in Alina's heartburn. How is it possible in a situation that does not allow her to get pregnant?

"A-aahh is not possible. I-I might catch a cold," he said.

"Mas, it's better to take Alina to the hospital now. Make sure Alina's pregnant or just catching a cold." He said, Azam then nodded in agreement.

Without Alina's consent, he again carried her and took her out. Alina was surprised instead of playing and scared at the same time. The gaze of the two women at a glance meeting each other made Alina more confused.

"What if I'm really pregnant? O Allah is not a servant who rejects Thy fortune, but-" the balance is in the mind.

After a while, they finally arrived at the hospital. Both are anxious to wait for the results of the doctor. Alina was really scared and not ready for the possibility. From that moment the woman continued to look down in her seat, Azam who realized it was immediately grasping his hand firmly.

"It's okay, everything's gonna be okay."

The sedating words from the husband slightly made Alina peaceful. Weak smiles were present as they looked at each other.

Not long after the female doctor named Kinan came along carrying a piece of paper. A wide, soft smile fell on her face. He sat right in front of the couple, making both of them impatient.

"W-how did it go, doc?" alina asked nervously.

"Alhamdulillah, congratulations Ma'am, you are positive pregnant," replied the doctor tense Alina.

He was silent and did not respond to anything. Azam curled both corners of his lips perfectly. He was happy to hear the good news.

"Ha-pregnant doc? Alhamdulillah," he replied later.

"True Sir, your wife's gestational age has only entered two weeks. Because it is still vulnerable I will give you a prescription booster content, vitamins and blood enhancer. Please pay attention to your wife. Because a woman who is pregnant is sometimes very sensitive, her hormonal changes make them want to always be spoiled." The doctor said that Azam repeatedly nodded his head.

As Kinan's doctor wrote the prescription, Alina remained silent and a second later raised her right hand and stroked her flat stomach. Azam smiled when he saw his wife. He knew Alina was happy too, but something was bothering him.

"Here's the recipe, don't let your wife get stuck. Take good care of the contents."

After that Azam brought Alina out with happiness.

Along the aisle Azam continued to speak words as a form of gratitude for Alina's pregnancy. The woman occasionally befell him with a gentle smile and felt a little embarrassed as Azam's burly arms coiled around his waist.

The endless words coming out of the charming mouth of the husband became the music of the accompanist every step of the foot pulled over. Inadvertently his iris collided with a woman who had just stepped into the hospital building.

The shoulder-haired woman stopped right in front of the two.

"Boss," call him directly.

Azam immediately hung up his words and looked ahead, "Zara? What are you doing here? Are you sick?" ask Azam. "Ahh, dear lady this is my secretary at the office."

Alina then smiled warmly. "Alina," he said.

"It's nice to meet you, Madam." Continue with a brief nod. "What's the boss doing here? Is the madam sick? He looks pale."

"No Madam is fine, she is pregnant," Azam said just like that.he looks proud of the pregnancy of his second wife.

"Well, congratulations to both of you."

"Thank you, then we go first."

Then Azam again led his wife out of there. The black lensed iris stared fixedly at the two people who continued to stay away. Zara frowned deeply, something in her chest trying to rebel out.

"So, she's your second wife? Don't you love Yasmin very much? What the hell is going on here? That woman's carrying your child?" muttered.

...***...

Azam and Alina were still sitting quietly in the car. Alina continued to play her fingers trying to get rid of the shaking. The man understood what made the wife so worried about her present circumstances. He again held his hand warmly and tried to turn Alina's body to face him.

"Darling, look at me" he said.

With a heavy weight Alina turned her head and returned the gaze of the husband. The assertiveness of the back looks make him reluctant to linger giving attention. Unknowingly, he clenched his hand.

"I'm scared, Mom." Her great-grandchildren hide the sadness.

"What are you afraid of, Alina?"

For a long time she did not answer her husband's questions and Azam faithfully waited until Alina was ready. Till, until,

"I'm afraid of hurting Yasmin. I know our marriage is just a paper deal. And how can I be pregnant now. I must have hurt Yasmin a lot. I can't see her crying kar-"

Not yet had his words finished being spoken, Azam immediately hugged him tightly. "Don't say that. The deal on paper is off, I'm pulling it back. You're not Aqeela's nanny or Yasmin's nurse, but you're my wife. The wife who is now carrying our baby. You never hurt Yasmin, because from the beginning it wasn't your desire to marry me. It's a destiny we have to live, I'm happy. I'm not lying, I'm really happy we're gonna have a kid."

Azam's words brought calmness back in his mind. Alina squeezed out the hug and drowned her face in the chest of the husband's field. He cried in silence and tried to accept the truth. Because after all, the child is the blessing and grace that God has given him.

"I will not spare this child, thank you for being present in your life" he thought. He felt boundless happiness.
