The breath of a child who had been forced to continue running sounded disjointed. He walked along an endless path.
His white face paled as tears flowed endless. He coughed several times when the oxygen supply was thinning making his throat dry.
The situation did not discourage Raihan to stop stepping. He kept forcing his feet to move following his instincts.
Over time his eyes blurred, his ears as if deaf did not listen to anything around him. Until an unwanted incident had to happen, everyone who was there shouted histris hearing a loud bang.
Raihan's consciousness gradually disappeared and immediately the darkness picked up. One word that came out of his lips, was "cape."
...***...
In a different place, Alina who was still overwhelmed with uneasiness gasped in shock as the phone in the game pocket shook violently.
Hurriedly he reached out and took it and listed an unknown number there. His wide forehead shriveled deeply with his heart racing.
His premonition suddenly turned out to be very unpleasant when he found the number. With trembling hands he received the call and brought the phone closer to his earlobe.
"Assalamu'alaikum" he said slowly.
"Wa'alaikumsalam, we would like to let you know if your son was in an accident and is currently in the family hospital. Please come here immediately so that action can be taken quickly."
A bolt of lightning struck in broad daylight, the notice made Alina's defenses falter. The handle on his phone weakened and the smart thing fell onto the asphalt.
Zaidan cupped his wife's body in a hurry after asking people around. He was shocked when he saw Alina's face pale.
"Darling, what's going on?" tanyanya's worried.
"Ra-Raihan accident. A CRASH." Alina shouted hysterically inviting the road user to stare at them.
"What's? Why could? Then we have to go to the hospital immediately" said Zara who suddenly came from behind.
Zaidan carried the limp body of his wife and rushed back to the hotel to bring his vehicle. After that the four of them headed to the hospital where Raihan was.
Moments later they arrived, Alina rushed out of the car and ran as hard as she could into the building.
He searched the service table with a feeling of unworthiness. Not long after that, the net managed to capture what was needed. He immediately ran there and asked the whereabouts of the baby.
"Where is my son? Where's the patient on Raihan's behalf?" said dusty.
"The patient in the name of Raihan the victim of the hit-and-run was on the third floor of the child's room, and-" Again Alina did not hear the words of her opponent until it was finished. She rushed to the third floor, followed by her husband and two friends in the back.
The elevator door opened wide, Alina poked out looking for a child's room to immediately meet her baby. However, at once his steps came to a halt as a pair of eagle eyes stared at him unhappily.
The tall man in front of him got up from his seat and walked quickly closer. With a big breath as she clenched her strong hand the ex-husband looked at her sharply.
"What have you done, huh? Why did Raihan get into an accident? Lucky there was a former worker who passed by the area and found Raihan. He was in an accident, our son was hit by a car until he hit his head and spit out a lot of blood."
Alina could not say anything and just stared blankly ahead. Tears flowed again when she heard all the words of her ex-husband.
He fell silent when he found his baby had an accident until his head was bleeding. His dead-end mind did not respond to a word to reply to Azam's words.
In her little heart, she justifies the words that come from her ex if she is not a good mother. He had ignored Raihan until his son had an accident.
"Here you go, I don't blame Alina. It all happens outside of our will. You as his parents should pray for the best. Alina, I'm representing Mas Azam, apologizing if the words offended you.
Alina only shook her head briefly without even turning to Jasmin. He kept silent with chaotic thoughts and mixed feelings.
"Honey," called Zaidan while gripping his wrist slowly.
Alina let go of him rudely and said, "let me alone." After saying that she went from before them leaving behind a million worries in her husband. Zaidan saw him in silence and gave his wife time.
"Don't worry, Alina just needs some alone time," said Dimas patting the master's shoulder softly.
Zaidan nodded slowly and sat himself in the waiting chair. A few steps from his existence, Azam looked at him fixedly still with a firm clench of both hands.
"Is it so happy to be married to my ex-wife that her mother doesn't pay attention to her own child? You may love Alina wholeheartedly and love her whole soul .. but please also pay attention to my son, Raihan. He needs your attention" Azam said.
"I'm sorry to interfere in your family affairs, but I think you should also pay attention to it. Didn't you discriminate between your two children?" ask Dimas later.
"Yes, I admit it, but, as bad as I am .. I never ignore my own child. If you-" Azam pointed at Zaidan with a furious look, "if you can't accept Raihan like your own son, don't ignore him like that. I will take him away from you" Azam said.
At once Zaidan rose up and sat down with Azam. "Raihan is not my real son, but I love him as much as my own. I'm sorry about this incident, but .. I won't accept if you take Raihan without Alina's knowledge."
The two stiffened with blazing eyes. Jasmin patted her husband's arm to wake him up.
"Mas have this in the hospital, don't make a fuss" Jasmin said.
"That's right, we better wait for the doctor to finish handling Raihan," Zara suggested.
Dimas pulled Zaidan back to his seat, along with Jasmin who led her husband in the opposite direction.
Zaidan rubbed his face when he remembered the chaotic state of his wife now. He was also concerned about Raihan's condition. He did not expect if his arrival to the hotel room earlier brought such a powerful calamity.
"It's all my fault .. I've made Raihan to an accident," he thought regretfully.
"Don't blame yourself, all of this is already a provision above. Be patient, the test master came to bring good. We pray that Raihan will be well" whispered Dimas as if he knew what the young master was thinking.
Zaidan simply nodded weakly and smiled knotfully. He linked his fingers firmly venting the feeling of uneasiness.
...Seriate......
