CHAPTER 35

The blue sky stretched out as long as the eye could see. Warm from the sun accompanies all activities. The wind blows usher in an unexpected longing. His arrival often invites anxiety and tears.

For almost two months, Alina separated from her husband. His condition, which was two-bodied, sometimes caused the deepest feelings for Azam. Misses and wounds intersect with each other to make him have to survive.

Sometimes the desire of the baby arises to scratch new wounds. The baby in the womb wants the presence of the father to make Alina as strong as possible to hold back from seeing Azam.

Cravings became the hardest time for Alina. She had to fulfill it alone without the help of her husband. Occasionally tears will flow again considering if the state of the household is not as harmonious as others.

This afternoon the shop he founded looked quiet, only a few visitors bought his wares. He is thankful that God still provides His sustenance. He sat alone at the cashier's desk staring at the street where people were passing by.

The raised right hand stroked his growing belly. The longing comes back when you accidentally see another couple there. Women who are two bodies the same seem to be so noticed. The husband's embrace looks possessive on the wife's waist.

Alina instantly turned her attention in the other direction not being able to withstand the tightness in the chest.

"Honey, I'm sorry, Mom. Mom couldn't fulfill your request on this one. We're gone from dad and probably never see each other again" Alina murmured slowly and quietly.

Elusan in his stomach stopped feeling the kick from his little angel.

Not long after, a middle-aged woman walked into the store. Alina moved from her seat to welcome her arrival. A sweet smile fluttered on the pretty face was not young anymore when his gaze collided with Alina.

"Can I help you, ma'am?" ask Alina kindly.

"I want a cake that's not too sweet to take home" the woman replied.

"If you may know, what is it for you to eat alone or give to others?" Alina asked again with a sweet smile.

"For my son, he likes to eat cakes that are not too sweet."

Alina nodded in understanding then opened the glass display case in front of her. He ducked down carrying one of the jars on display.

"I recommend this coffee-flavored cake. I make it using seventy-five percent of the self-pollinated coffee and ten percent sugar. So, the bitter taste of coffee is more dominant than the sweetness of sugar." Obviously Alina was enthusiastic.

From the beginning he loved making cakes, since he was still in Alina orphanage often experimented with various flavors in the snacks. Sometimes he also sold it to school to help the orphanage mother.

Now Alina can make it happen and open her own cake shop. He was pensive when presenting a coffee-flavored cake in front of him. Instantly the shadows of a few months ago alight made him shake his head at a glance.

The husband really likes his cake, especially the taste of coffee.

The bearded woman also widened her smile again and tasted the sample presented by Alina. The two sweets also widen when the taste of the cake melts in the mouth.

"It's so delicious. The taste of coffee is dominant, but not too bitter. The sweet taste is also fitting, my son would love it. I bought some jars to take home." Happy revealed.

Alina nodded enthusiastically and immediately wrapped the remaining coffee cake into a paper bag. While the customer looked at the cake and cake on display, until the attention returned to Alina.

"You're pregnant?"

Alina who was still busy with her work turned her head short.

"Oh yes, it's been eight months" he replied.

"You're an independent woman, not holding hands on your husband. Does he work here?"

"My husband is working out of town."

Lying, Alina's lying. He had no other way to answer that question. The woman nodded briefly without saying anything more.

Not long ago Alina was finished wrapping the cake and given to her customers. After the payment was made the middle-aged woman again left nothing.

"Sometimes it's better not to ask. But I also do not cover myself with this condition. Honey, Mom's sorry."

Again and again the apology becomes a self-strengthening for him and the baby.

...***...

Azam is not focused on doing his work, many times he looks daydreaming and lack of concentration. In the middle of that important meeting he was busy diving in silence. The voices of the shareholders who were speaking were not heeded at all.

Zara who saw the boss like that also patted his shoulder slowly making Azam aghast. He immediately looked ahead where the person who had earlier presented the presentation was done.

"Mr Azam, I asked if you agree with the new product that we will launch next month? This product triggers on healthy foods, although in the form of a small cake but can be filling, what And-"

The voice of the man before him continued to shrink in hearing. Azam again lay on daydreams and trapped in memory. The beautiful face of the second wife was just present in the light of the projector, as if smiling to welcome her gaze.

The highlight of Azam's empty eyes made the people present there frown in wonder. Zara who understands the condition of the superior takes over.

"Tu-tuan-tuan looks like President Azam is not feeling well. Let's just end this meeting for now, let me talk to him. The decision is as soon as possible I'll tell you later."

After hearing Zara's directions, the meeting participants began to leave the room. The lights immediately turned on Azam. He was surprised that there was no one in front of him. He then turned to the right side where Zara was folding her hands in front of her chest.

"I don't mean to interfere in household affairs, you. Your boss must be a professional. However there are company leaders, many backbones depend on you. Is this about Alina again?"

Zara had already memorized what Azam was like after the departure of his second wife.

"Well, when do you keep moody like this? I am speaking here not as a secretary but as a friend. There's still Yasmin to take care of, don't you love her anymore?"

Zara's question made her realize, Azam grabbed her hair in frustration with two directions that intersected each other.

"What should I do? Alina's pregnant and I don't know where she is right now." Lirih Azam with his head lowered deeply.

"You still care about him? Do you still believe the baby in the womb is your flesh and blood? Didn't I say it before? If Alina meets another man in the hospital and does a joint checkup?"

Question after question that was thrown from the mouth ranum Zara buzzed to make Azam gamang. He was like a unstable teenager with no standing.

In silence Zara watched him, there was a gurat of sadness stored neatly in that expression.

"Can you see me? I loved you from a long time ago."

The low voice made both of Azam's eyes growl. He looked up to see a faint smile there.

The more complicated he felt.
