Peace Negotiations

The meeting between Baron Jean De Ruhr and the royal envoy of Bucharest took place at the royal palace of Bucharest located in their capital, Utah.

Of course, the letter that reached them containing the plans of Baron De Ruhr was not well received. Where possible they will sit one table with the person who has taken their land.

But their king, Bucharest II, felt that he should accept this offer. At least he had to see firsthand who Baron De Ruhr really was.

There is no specific underlying reason. He made the decision because of two things. The first was the king's curiosity, the second was his premonition. I don't know why he can't ignore that guy.

And this is how it is now. Bucharest II and the other nobles were sitting in front of a young man. Unlike what king Bucharest II had imagined, the nobleman he would meet was not an old, experienced-looking noble.

Instead, he was very young. He may have just turned 15. And when viewed from the outside, there is nothing special about him. Perhaps the only thing that was striking enough was his handsome face and his nice body.

"I cordially greet you, your majesty the king of Bucharest, the noble Lloris De Bucharest. May safety and well-being always accompany you."

Baron Jean lowered his body to pay his respects. King Bucharest nodded. He looked at Baron Jean De Ruhr after the goal, then returned his greetings.

"Thank you, Baron De Ruhr."

The king only said that. He let out his pressure, trying to intimidate his interlocutor. But Baron De Ruhr did not move in the slightest. He remained calm and looked at the king and his followers casually.

"Don't hold back from enjoying all our banquets, Baron De Ruhr. You are free to enjoy all that is in front of you."

The young baron smiled. He enjoyed a cup of tea whose steam was still steaming. Quite delicious.

"It's true that these dishes look very delicious. I can't find this in the Dublin kingdom. As expected of the kingdom that controls the sea and its port, the kingdom of Bucharest has a unique treasure."

He calmly smiled as he sipped his tea again. After that, his gaze was directed at the king.

"But, it would be nice if we enjoy all this without any stress, right? So with all due respect, can you all release the pressure on me?"

"It's not polite!! Who do you think you are!? A lowly baron like you doesn't deserve to be dealing with honorable people like us!"

"Basic usurper!!"

Get out of here, stupid barbarians!!"

The nobles scolded Baron De Ruhr. King Lloris de Bucharest broke out in cold sweat. He didn't want something like this to happen. All he did earlier was experiment to test this young Baron!

In the midst of his panic, Baron De Ruhr looked at the king of Bucharest. His mouth let out a faint smile. The king of Bucharest is in panic. This baron had understood his intentions from the start and had instead taken advantage of this moment to suppress the king.

"Ehem! All right, let's stop this. Baron Jean De Ruhr came with good intentions. Although it is true that he is a usurper, but he who now does not have much power to shake our majesty."

In the end, the nobles softened after hearing the king's words. Although they still threw a sharp glare and humiliation at the baron De Ruhr, at least their mouths stopped letting out scorn.

"Tell us, baron Jean De Ruhr. What is the reason for your real arrival."

"My arrival is exactly as written in the cover letter sent to you. I intend to discuss a peace treaty with all of you."

Baron Jean De Ruhr casually answered the king's orders, which were followed by the voices of other nobles.

"peace agreement? Huh! No kidding! Once you seize our territory and build a castle there, never hope for peace!!"

"If we want, we can conquer the castle you built in less than seven days!!"

Voices of disapproval came from several influential nobles. They were clearly not in line with the king. Therefore, secretly, the king Lloris De Bucharest gritted his teeth.

"Oh yeah? Is that true?"

The 17-year-old baron remained calm under the intimidation of a group of people much older than him. Once again, the king of Bucharest was made goosebumps by him.

"Over these three months, you have repeatedly sent your troops to reclaim what is now De Ruhr territory only to receive word that none of your troops have returned.

"In fact, you are outlining 2000 people to beat us. As a result, your army is annihilated. The question is, how long can you do that?"

Gawd! The nobles are speechless. What he said is true. But there are still stubborn ones.

"But, if we attack a fool like you, then we can recapture our territory in one day!"

This time he laughed. These people are really easy to get rid of useless babble.

"Then, when do you want to spend money to do things that are in vain? Your food supply is running low and at the same time, you lack metal ores to make weapons and mint coins. If you're doing a full-scale attack, try it."

The nobles fell silent again. Their faces are sour. King Bucharest finally breathed. He decided to hear what Baron De Ruhr wanted. There was no point in bluffing him any further.

"Alright, tell me what you want, baron."

The young man smiled. The king who saw it, gave up. From the start, he had already revolved in the palm of this young man's hand.

"Finally done too!! Ah. why exhaust her."

Charlotte's celebrating the fun in her carriage. Jean smiled as she stroked Charlotte's pink hair.

Just as she was having talks with the nobles and kings, Charlotte was also negotiating. But Charlotte is negotiating with trade associations in the royal capital Bucharest.

"So how'd it go, baby?"

"Hmm? Ah, you mean those nobles? Well, of course, everything goes as you wish. The agreement has been made and signed. In the next year, the two sides will not attack each other.

"Well, that's enough time. There's something I have to do in that one year. By the way, how about you?"

Jean didn't want to discuss her plans with Charlotte, so she immediately threw a question at her. Charlotte could only smile wryly.

"Well, same. HuCas will be a major supplier for farmers' crops in the often-surplus kingdom of Dublin. Rather than being sold domestically at a low price, the market in the kingdom of Bucharest looks more profitable.

"Also, we have promised to import stocks of metals such as iron, copper, bronze, Brass, even gold and silver from the Urals. In exchange, we will receive luxury goods that come from countries across the sea there."

Well, that's quite profitable.

Jean and Charlotte spend their time together on a horse-drawn carriage to the new territory of De Ruhr. The two chatted and made fun of each other all the way home.
