Pseudo-Villaines

Pseudo-Villaines
Baron Salzan's

Deep within the territory of the kingdom of Warsaw, in a village that no longer seemed to be inhabited by a single person, a large and magnificent mansion stood there. It's still sturdy. Although from the outside there were enough holes in its walls and it was covered by quite lush vegetation, there were no signs of any significant damage.

The reason why no one inhabited this village was because of the strange rain that had recently occurred. Unlike the townspeople where they might have a place to shelter, these villagers had nowhere to hide from death.

As a result, all the residents of this village, including the lord who had the large abandoned mansion, had to die. No matter it was children, parents, men, or women, no one survived.

Their bodies were only discovered by the Warsaw Lina royal side days later, in conditions that had already been severely decomposed. They had no choice but to dig a large hole and bury the entire population in the same hole.

Now, all that remains are wooden houses that are gnawed by termites and just waiting for the time to collapse. Neglected wells, and cages of livestock that are no longer in use.

Regardless of the situation outside, in fact inside the abandoned mansion, the atmosphere was inversely proportional. Instead of dark, cold, and gripping, this mansion is in a pretty pleasant atmosphere.

How many people were seen as waiters pacing around carrying trays filled with wine glasses and food plates. The dining room was filled with dozens of people joking and laughing at each other. Fireplaces are lit to drive away the cold.

"The inhabitants of this village are unfortunate. Who would have thought that they could die just because of the strange liquid that fell from the sky."

"You want how else, right? If we were outside at that time, we would also die. Thank goodness we took refuge inside. Haha."

"Rubber, right! Who would have thought that liquid was so dangerous. Fortunately this phenomenon does not occur in our country huh, hahahaha!"

The joke continues. They laugh at the fate of the villagers and at the same time are grateful that good fortune is still on their side. There's nothing to worry about. Everything went well and was fine.

While they were eating and joking, a man two meters tall walked up to the table. Her hair was brown, the same color as her eyeballs. The wrinkles on his face depicted his age already entering the heads of five.

Even so, the aura around him felt extremely authoritative. Everyone at the dining table was silent. They were all in a solemn position, ready to listen to what the man was about to say.

"Honorary gentlemen, I hope you enjoy the banquet I have. However, please forgive. I cannot accompany you for some reason that I cannot express. But gentlemen there's no need to worry because my servants are ready to provide for all your needs."

Everyone at the dining table looked at each other. One of them finally opened his mouth.

"Knowing your busyness is very dense, we justify it, sir. You don't have to worry about us. Continue with your job. We support you."

Hearing this, the man smiled. Soon, he resigned and returned to the office where he worked.

"The fuckin' bastards! What do they know except to eat and party, huh!?"

OHHHHH!!!

Unable to hold back his emotions, he kicked his desk and threw his chair. The dozens of people who are now having fun while playing with the slaves he provides are a group of people assigned to dig up information about the kingdom of Warsaw and exploit all the loopholes that exist for the benefit of their kingdom.

But so far, what they have done is nothing more than to splurge and spend the huge budget they have been given to fill their own stomachs. They only dug out the perfunctory information and did not bother to give the details to the kingdom that became their master.

"As usual, you can't hold back your emotions huh, Baron Salza. If your colleagues see you now, they will turn against you."

The voice of a young man suddenly intruded on Baron Salzan's emotions. Yes, he was that big tall man. Meanwhile, looking at a young man who suddenly bothered him, Baron Salzan could not help but be annoyed.

"Keep in the habit of not bothering me, Eugene. Never enter my room without notice."

Eugene, the young man who was in front of Baron Salza, chuckled. He sat down on the available chair then threw a pile of paper at the table.

"That's a list of people you can make collaborators with. They were peerless nobles, knights betrayed by their masters, corrupt officials who were only selfish, and criminal groups who were willing to do anything depending on how much they paid."

Baron Salzan checked the names and grinned. There were over a hundred names that he could make collaborators for his work. Although it was ultimately expensive, this was a decent price. Baron Salzan does not trust Eugene, but he believes in his abilities.

"As usual, here's your pay. 10 gold coins for one name. Now leave. I'm sick of seeing your face!"

Eugene laughed a little. After receiving his payment, he just left. Leaving Baron Salzan alone.

"Eugene.... This guy is very dangerous. He casually broke through the best barrier the royal party could provide without any difficulty. Damnit.... If only he had been after me, my head would have been detached for a long time."

Baron Salzan sat in his chair and leaned back.

"Ah..... I want to move to work."
