Death is Unnatural

Two days later, the kingdom of Warsaw was shocked by the death of some of their upper echelons in the palace environment. The prime minister, finance minister and several other officials from the Mietzsko family have been killed.

Palace guard on tight. Especially in the rooms and residences of the king and his family. Knights were deployed to patrol, ensuring that there was not a single crack that even the flies could not escape.

The reason for their deaths is unknown. No sign of physical violence. Neither were the traces of food or drink poisoned.

Allegedly, the cause of their death was due to a heart attack. But the simultaneous deaths remain suspicious.

The palace authorities have been trying to hide this fact so that news of the death is not spread out. Yet futile. Rumors that some high-ranking echelons had been killed remained spread out.

Of course, the news was peppered with details of lies. But what was most widely spread was the rumor that the king killed his ministers and brothers for fear that his power would be taken away.

Not only that, the rumors spread also said that the king was a bloodthirsty human being. He killed people randomly to drink his blood for the cultivation process to be fast.

Everything makes sense. It turned out that all this time, the king was the mastermind behind the deaths of the townspeople.

Basically, the power of the king was not only shaken just because of the dissatisfied population. After all, they don't have any power.

But it doesn't matter. All those rumors were part of Duke Cetner's plan and his faction. So is the mysterious death that befell the Mietzsko family. For them, the response of the community is not so important.

What they were after was a reaction among the Mietzsko family itself. Internal divisions within their bodies would create instability. That's what Duke Cetner's goal really is.

"It's good that everything goes well. But.... Who spread the rumor that the king is a bloodthirsty man?"

Viscount Konarski nodded. Duke Cetner also promised that if Konarski earned enough achievements, he would consider giving him the title of Count, which allowed viscount Konarski to be happy.

Count Lesko had just exited the knight headquarters. His face showed hatred and anger. Although his head was bowed, his hateful aura leaked everywhere so people noticed him.

Even his guards did not dare to ask him to speak. They just walked behind count Lesko while keeping a little distance and escorting him to the carriage belonging to count Lesko.

Count Lesko boarded his chariot and leaned on the seat after he sat down. Karina's death made her very angry. He did not pay much attention to his daughters, but in any case, he was a father. It is only natural that he is saddened by the death of his son.

However, there was something else that made him much more angry. Karina's death, to be honest, would have weakened Count Lesko's position before his master, Duke Ankwicz. Incidentally, the successor of the Ankwicz family was a healthy man and in many ways, amazing. He plans to marry Karina to the Ankwicz family's successor to strengthen his position on Duke Ankwicz's side.

In fact, he had opened such talks with Duke Ankwicz and was welcomed by him. But Karina's death makes everything turn chaotic. The plan became a mess.
