Nebelhorn Massacre

Jean's orders were clearly heard by whoever was there. 'kill them all and drag their families to the labor camp.' That was the order he gave. Jean didn't even hold back this time.

"Are you sure, Mr Jean? I think it's fine to execute these 1000 people. But what about the families of those who have to live in labor camps? Wouldn't that make the atmosphere more runnyam?"

"I want them to see what happens if they dare to fight back. Didn't you tell them that whoever puts down a gun, you'll save their lives and vice versa?"

Rose nodded. He did say that. But he didn't understand why Jean was punishing their family, who were basically innocent?

"Well, obviously I need people to volunteer. Scapegoating the families of these people doesn't bother anyone at all."

Rose just sighed. From a pragmatic point of view, what Jean said was appropriate. By multiplying the 'slaves', who were basically unpaid and fed only in moderation, Jean could reduce the cost of wages to lower.

"I'm just following your principles, Rose. Anyone who does not fight will be given mercy. We will give them food, drink, and a decent life.

"However, for anyone who fights, I will give them nothing but tragedy and a bitter taste that will imprint on their heads. I don't mind if they don't forgive me though."

Jean and Rose discussed for a moment the exact idea of the execution method for the opposing group. In the end, the decision was made. Half of them would be beheaded then his head would be stacked in the town square. The other half will be hanged and their bodies left at the side of the road.

Massive arrests were also made. As many as 1,000 people who were the families of those who resisted (some of whom were still bachelors) were taken to the detention camp. All they could do was wait for the verdict from Jean, the result of their own kinsmen's guilt.

quickly, Jean decided to make them slave laborers at some nearby mining farm, depending on their performance, Jean could have freed them from there.

The bodies of the rebels were left alone for three days and three nights. No one dared to disturb him. No one dared to take the initiative to bury them, even if Jean did not forbid them to do that though.

The bodies of the rebels were buried three days later. In a mass grave. No name, no tombstone. People and history will record this as the [Nebelhorn Massacre] of the future.

What Jean does at the Principality of Eisen is a spark for the upheaval that will erupt in the future. The upheaval was the beginning of the rise of the largest empire on the Akkadian continent.

An empire that succeeded in uniting all parts of the west and spreading its influence throughout the world. An empire that will remain solid for 3000 years.

But it's all a story for the future.
