Viscount Lostov's

Jean felt her body rather heavy. She opened her eyes and saw Natasha sleeping on top of her body. Selena and Charlotte hugged her right and left hands. The breath of the three of them was very soft.

Jean carefully moves Natasha and wakes up. He enveloped the three after kissing their forehead one by one.

After Jean put her clothes back on, she whistled and an arrow shot towards her from outside. Jean casually caught the arrow. At the end, there was a folded paper.

"The 'rats' that are inside the house and its surroundings have been cleaned."

More or less that is the content of the paper. Jean smiled faintly. Well, anyway, 'rats' are everywhere. Jean had ordered the White Wolf in charge of stalking and guarding his residence to finish off all the wandering 'rats.

'They were scouts sent by Lostov and Baldric simultaneously to watch over Charlotte and HuCas. Attractively. Let's see how good their game is.'

Killing the scouts would raise the suspicions of the two families. Jean did say that he cleaned them up but that doesn't mean he killed her. Instead, he would use those 'rats' to his own advantage.

Putting that aside first, Jean sat in her chair. He lit a candle to light up his dark room. A small fire emanating from six candles illuminated Jean's room.

The first phase of his operation has been a success. He manages to create a riot in Saint Georgia City and opens the door to Charlotte with HuCas and Nina and Mar with the White Wolf to shine and earn grassroots trust.

Now, Jean will move on to the next phase.

He decided to go to the White Wolf headquarters. He hasn't been there long enough. Maybe about a week more. Wearing her disguise, Jean goes through the darkness of the night.

"So Natasha spent the night there? Keep an eye on her and Charlotte. Report all their activities to me. You can go."

Viscount Lostov sat in his room. He had just received a report from his men that he was assigned to oversee the movements of Charlotte and the HuCas company.

Viscount Lostov wanted to use it to marry his daughter, Natasha, to Hull's son, Samuel. He also intends to marry Charlotte to Joan.

With the status he had and the treasures he had obtained, Viscount Lostov thought that he would become the Earl who had his own power over the territory that would be given to him.

But the momentum is killed when Hull bequeaths all his efforts to Charlotte and raises Charlotte's servant and Hull's right-hand man, Jean, to be her husband.

He was so enraged that his plan which he had laid out in such a way was suddenly shattered by the will that Hull had left behind. If Hull appeared right in front of his face, Viscount Lostov was eager to spit on his face.

But Hull is dead. Lamenting that it is no longer useful. Viscount Lostov immediately prepared another plan. He decided to marry his daughter to Earl Baldric's only son, Hansen Baldric who would become the next head of the family. That way, his status in the eyes of other nobles and the royal family would increase.

At the same time, he was also looking for an opportunity to take over HuCas' assets when the time came. Viscount Lostov thought Charlotte was not as capable as her father. While Jean, she is a nobody and has no power whatsoever. In the near future, Viscount Lostov could pick up the cake that lay before him.

But again, his hopes were shattered. He underestimated Charlotte. The girl was not as stupid as she had thought. Instead, the girl was smart and persistent.

He could read opportunities that no one else could read and take them. In Charlotte's hands, the HuCas trading company controlled half of the overall economic activity in Saint Georgia City. The girl even intended to spread her wings.

His prestige increased when he generously poured his own money to help the victims. Things that not even the nobles and other merchants could do.

In the end, watching over them was the only thing he could do. He still hoped to hold HuCas under his control.

"I think I should be tougher on them."

Viscount Lostov muttered. He did not understand that the ambition entrenched in him was an introduction to him towards the abyss of destruction.
