What He Wants

Duke Eisen did have a mature plan. He has done all the necessary preparation. But that does not mean everything moves according to what he wants.

That night he had just completed a letter addressed to the new ruler of Dublin regarding the severance of diplomatic relations between the two kingdoms. The letter had even been signed and affixed with an official stamp from her. He'll be sending this letter tomorrow to the authorities in Dublin.

But somehow, she felt very sleepy. His eyes could no longer hold on to stay open. In the end, he decided to put his letter into his desk drawer and go to sleep. Hoping to have the beautiful dream he had long craved.

Not only Duke Brandon Eisen, the servants and knights working in his castle also felt the same way. They forced themselves to stay awake until their master completely rested. Once he had entered the room, a sense of joy appeared in their hearts and everyone decided to indulge in the desire to sleep.

There are only a few Knights who still survive. They were indeed the best knights funded by Duke Eisen. They could not even sleep two whole days. A little drowsiness won't let them off guard.

"It's a little cooler tonight. I want to rest."

One of the Knights guarding the front of Duke Eisen's castle complained to the fellow who was guarding with him.

"really. I don't want to speak ill of our master, but at least please provide a warm drink for the one on guard."

His complaint was returned again. Doesn't matter. It has become an everyday conversation. As long as it was not heard by Duke Eisen, everything would be fine.

Regardless of how often they grumble, they still carry out their duties well. No one lowered his guard. All remain in their respective posts with a state of alert.

Unfortunately, no one was aware of the danger approaching them. That night, without a sound, without being able to be seen, dozens of arrows flew and then stabbed heavily into their necks and killed all the Knights guarding in front of the castle.

All the corpses of the knights numbering 15 were quickly cleaned up without leaving even the slightest trace. The dead bodies were buried en masse in a large hole that had been made.

There are no meaningful obstacles. As long as everything moved according to the direction, no obstacles of any kind would come against them.

The 15 men spread themselves to a predetermined point. Based on the instructions given to them, no one can do anything outside the specified task. Because of this, they all kept darting towards their respective targets.

The game has just begun.

From a distance, Jean is engrossed in sitting on a flat roof while observing a group of people who broke through Duke Eisen's castle. With the [World Wide] technique he had, Jean did not have to bother being near the place he was after. Simply standing three kilometers from there, he could see everything.

Jean began to smile when all the criminals had been in their respective positions. No need for signal. Jean just told them 'as long as you've been in each other's positions, do what you like.'

Just then, a rowdy voice emerged from the direction of Duke Eisen's castle. Jean's sharp hearing can capture that. Apparently, the criminals started the game.

Jean also did not want to miss. Leisurely, he leaped over the roofs, rushing towards Duke Eisen's crumbling castle. He also passed through several corpses. If he finds anyone alive, Jean will lightly slash the man's head.

By the time he entered the castle, the first floor was empty. There's no one left. There were only things that were messy, broken, and destroyed everywhere. The first floor is clean.

Ideally, he should be combing upstairs. Jean didn't do that. More precisely not necessary. His goal was not the treasure vault or the weapons that were in the upper room. Instead, what he wanted lay beneath.

As soon as Jean went down to the basement, she smiled. Everything he wanted was in this place.
