Throughout the rest of the journey, everything went normally. There are no more storms, only clear weather. Sometimes it is cloudy and rainy, but not so big.
It was Jean's ninth day on board. If all is well, he will arrive at his destination country on the tenth day after he sails. To be honest, he enjoyed the trip.
However, there was something bothering him for the last few days. Somehow, he remembered Svetlana and Jean. Mother and sister. Jean finds out that they're alive and well. It's not a deduction or anything. It's just intuition that he has.
Jean did venture to open her horizons, but another reason was to find them. This is completely irrational and logical. Not like Jean used to. But, that's how he is. He would not hesitate to take whatever belonged to him, it meant even if he had to destroy the world to obtain it.
'I was too sentimental, right? Is this a sign that I am still a human being?'
Jean laughed at herself. He shook his head and stopped reflecting. Still or no longer being human is not important. All he has to do is do something he wants and needs. No more, no less.
The sea continues to sail down the ocean. The rhythm of the waves and the warm sunlight made Jean calmer. Although the sea water is not so clear, occasionally he can see a shadow of the fish that swim.
"Hey son, what are you thinking!? You look sad! Drink this!"
Captain Beard appeared beside him all of a sudden. Jean is not surprised because she was already aware of his whereabouts before he appeared next to Jean. But it must be admitted, the captain of the beard has a very good ability to settle.
"Thank you captain. You're so nice."
Captain Beard laughed. He said there was no problem. They have a lot of wine in the barn. Thanks to the surplus of wine harvest in Dublin, the sailors got a good price. They can buy more than usual.
Jean smiled slightly and shook the wooden glass she was holding. The wine inside was a little churned and then calmed down again. Jean drank his wine again.
"It's not the first time I've been on a boat. However, this was my first time traveling long distances using this transportation. It feels so different."
Captain Beard laughed again. His large body shook. He patted Jean on the shoulder several times.
"Can!? Traveling by sea is more challenging! Honestly, son, one of the reasons why I became the sea is because this job is so thrilling!"
What Captain Beard said may be true. Sea travel is more dangerous than land. Pirate, storm, drown, and many other threats. But, for people whose veins were afraid of breaking up like Captain Beard, something like this was very exciting.
"Okay son, I'll go first. If you need anything, just tell me. See you soon."
Finally captain Beard. Jean was alone again. He drank his wine. This time he spent. The sweetness mixed with a bit of bitter taste touched his tongue. His body became lighter and his head felt refreshed. The wines in Dublin are the best!
Jean remained silent for a while while enjoying the twilight. He felt his own beauty. If he could, he wanted to witness this together with his lovers. Also with his brother and mother.
But.....Jean senses danger is coming tonight. Instead of panic and fear or trying to say this to Captain Beard, Jean smiled. This was not a warm smile or a thin smile as usual. The smile that Jean let out was a maniacal smile. Smile of a predator who finds its prey.
"Tonight, everything will be more interesting. I can't wait to see it."
