This was the biggest attack ever launched by the [Cult Of Savior]. In fact, in history, they have never carried out a large-scale attack. At most they did only small-time murders targeting specific people.
But this time it's different. Their actions are completely out of bounds. More than 100 members of the cult bravely brought the capital into chaos. Their assault started from the cathedral and then went everywhere.
Of course the royal Knight order and the church knight order were sent against them. But it was quite late. And those cult people are better prepared than anyone thinks.
They destroyed vital facilities in Krakov city and burned them to ashes. Including cathedrals, knight headquarters, markets, squares, and other places.
The sent knights were also easily ambushed by them from the small alleys and ruins of the buildings in the capital, causing an increasing number of casualties.
Jeanne and Svetlana had already joined the knights. The victims are more than they imagined. The mother and son did not expect that the cult members had enough power to destroy the elite and trained ranks of knights.
While the church knight order was feeling a little disturbed, the presence of Jeanne and Svetlana was welcomed by the royal knight order. Especially Jeanne. Without much welcome and thanksgiving, they shoulder to shoulder finish off the other members of the safety cult.
"Mama, their numbers are completely endless. After we kill one, another five appear. If this continues, the destruction they create will be even more widespread!"
Svetlana nodded. He agreed. Somehow they're too stupid. Something is not right. If they keep popping up, the two Knight strongholds will definitely collapse.
The problem was, the knight order was not trained for the [Urban Warfare] situation. What else on a sizeable scale like this.
All they had to do when this scenario happened was to save the royal family and the nobles to a safe place while being a meat shield to protect them. More or less like that rough.
But since the royal family and nobles were not under anyone's threat, the chief royal knight took the initiative to bring down his men in order to eradicate the cult. Technically, he's already broken the rules.
Back to the fight.
So far, Jeanne and Svetlana are no longer counting how many they have killed. All they had to do now was deal a crushing blow to the cult members and make them retreat to their respective lair.
Jeanne continued to burn and Svetlana destroyed them with her light. Even though they were weak, they all kept popping up like cockroaches.
One of the cult members managed to reach Jeanne after killing several knights who were blocking her. Of course Jeanne was aware of that. He easily dodged the slash of the dagger directed at him and retaliated with his fire sword.
The fight of the two almost continued when a strange shrill sounded. Just then, one by one the cult members began to retreat from the city to their respective lair. Several orders of knights from the church and the kingdom tried to pursue them but failed.
The large-scale assault on Krakov will change the balance of power between the royal family faction and Duke Ankwicz with the Duke Cetner faction and its supporters. Slowly, superiority began to side with Duke Cetner.

That afternoon, when the battle in the city was over, Jean stood on top of a still building. His cold gaze swept across the capital that had mostly been reduced to rubble.
Many buildings were burned that had not been extinguished. The commoners who lost their possessions, their homes, and their loved ones, were lamenting their fate without being able to do anything about it.
On the contrary, the territory of the nobility was completely unperturbed. Knights of each order guarded the region very tightly, making it difficult for invaders to ravage the place.
Jean smiled coldly. He enjoyed the aura of despair from those who lost. He also enjoyed the haughty aura of the nobles who made this a spectacle. He was enjoying the aura of sadness of the knights who lost their comrades.
"You seem to enjoy all this, sir. Looks like you are the one who moved the [Cult Of Savior]. Am I right?"
Hearing the masked butler behind her, Jean shook her head. His look and smile are still the same. Chilly.
"Well, it's not like that. I didn't move them at all. Well, even though I knew the hell that they were going to attack the city today."
"And you're not trying to prevent that from happening?"
Jean looked back. Despite being covered in a mask, Jean easily knew the expression of this servant now.
"Please don't put on a face like that, ma'am. You need to remember that I have no ties to this country. So yeah.... Whether this country is destroyed or not is none of my business at all.
"Ah, but take it easy. I'll guarantee your 'jewel' safety. Anyway, I have a relationship with him."
The servant did not understand what Jean was saying. Jean doesn't care. This time the mission was accomplished. Soon, a hero will emerge from Krakov.
