Al-Ahnaf bin Qais belongs to the famous ulamak-ulamak in his lifetime. One day a young man from the tribe of***'yi came to visit his house. Al-Ahnaf house is always visited by the public, especially by the children of students and friends. They went on a pilgrimage with the aim of learning from him.

The arrival of the young man from the tribe***'yi attracted his attention. Ahnaf found the young man very handsome and handsome. Then he asked: "O young man, have you adorned your face with something?."

"True sir, I really did decorate my face with something" he said politely and succinctly. The young man continued: "If I speak I am not lying. If anyone is talking, I listen. If I promise I'm pathetic and if I'm given something I'm not a traitor."

Hearing the pithy answer, Ahnaf said: "Just as you say, O young man, you have adorned yourself with noble character."

Shaykh AI-Asrna'i r.a:

During the Hajj season, I headed to Makkah for pilgrimage, then I planned to come to Madinah because I wanted to pilgrimage the Prophet s.a.w. at his tomb. Unfortunately, in the middle of the journey, I was blocked by a Bedouin Arab, in his hand was a large sword, which he held, and on his shoulder hung an arrow bow and arrows once. The badwim approached me and intended to take away everything I had. With fear and worry, I immediately greeted him, and he was surprised to return my greetings, asking: 'But:

       "Where are you from?"

"I am from a far off place, wanting to go to Jerusalem and pilgrimage to the Prophet" I replied.

"Where's your stuff?" ask badwi that too.

"I am a poor person and have no precious possessions whatsoever" I replied with great concern.

"What's your job?" he asked anyway.

"I am a teacher teaching AI-Quran to children in the village."

"What is the Quran?" he asked again. He does not know the Quran.

"You don't know the Quran?" I asked him.

"Don't ask me, answer my question?" he snaps.

"Alright, alright!" I said. "AI-Quran is the word of Allah s.w.t."

       "True, Allah s.w.t. said."

       "Tell me between the words!"

I also read the following verse: It means: 'And from heaven (down) your provision and what was promised.' (Az-Zariyat: 22)

Unexpectedly, the man suddenly threw away his sword and bow and arrows. He looked like a very frightened person, Ialu said:

"Oh, what a shame to live as a pirate, depriving people of their rights. He has betrayed his provision which God has determined in the heavens, while he seeks him on earth" he said earnestly. I was also amazed at how quickly he could change. It turned out that the badwim had deeply regretted all his former deeds, and promised to forsake all those violent deeds, and intended to repent in truth.

I was very happy to hear the statement and promise of the badwim. la return to Islam with sincerity, he said, and asked me to teach him to pray and do other worship. I then do all his requests with pleasure, so that he became a person who is quite familiar with the twists and turns of his religion.

The following year, as I was making my way around the Temple, I saw an elderly gentleman who seemed to come near me, and said his greetings. I returned his greetings and tried to remember who the man was. He kept saying to me:

"Wasn't this master my friend from years ago?" I tried to remember myself while watching her face, until I remembered. He was the badwi whom I taught Islam.

"Oh, right. I almost forgot, and you came back here again this year?" I asked him too. he agreed, Ialu said:

"Master! Please read to me another word of God!" the door to me anyway.

I fulfilled his request by reading the word of God which read:

By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, verily what you say!' (Az-Zariyat: 23)

I saw the badwim listening to him fervently, and raised his head and said:

"Master! Why did God swear that?"

Then he prayed: "O Allah! Forgive all the sins of the servant all this time. Finished from praying, I saw him crying very hard, and because of too much crying he fell into a fainting state. I immediately greeted him and put him on my lap. Not long after that, it turned out that he had returned to mercy.

I felt so sad, and cried. Then I remembered in my heart: How happy that person is. His long life covered with sin ended with God's awareness and kindness. He returned to God after repenting and asking forgiveness for all his deeds that had passed. Thus Allah guides the servant whom He wills.
