Governor and Commoner Woman

Governor And Common Woman

A governor during the time of Caliph Al-Mahdi, one day gathered a number of his neighbors and sprinkled dinar money in front of them. Everyone fought over each other to collect the money with joy. Except for a shabby woman, black and ugly-faced. He seemed to be motionless, looking at his neighbors who were richer than he was, but acting as if they were people who lacked wealth.

To his astonishment, the Governor asked, "Why don't you take the money like your neighbor?" The bad-faced widow replied, "For they seek dinar money as the world's stock. What I need is not a dinar but an afterlife." "You mean?" asked the Governor, he began to be interested in the woman's personality. "I mean, the world's money is enough. What I still need is the provision of the afterlife, which is prayer, fasting and remembrance. For the journey of the world is short compared to the long and eternal adventure of the Hereafter."

With such an answer, the Governor felt that he had been sharply insinuated. He was convinced, he had been busy collecting property and neglecting his religious obligations. Though his wealth is abundant, will not be eaten by his family up to seven offspring. While his age was over half a century, and the Angel Izrail had been in love.

So on one occasion, they were invited by the Governor to a lavish feast. Also the neighbors, including the woman who made a scene earlier. To them were given crystal glasses with jewels, filled with fresh wine liquid. The governor ordered them to slam their glasses. All were stunned and no one wanted to obey the order. But suddenly there was a clinking sound, and there was a madman carrying out the command. That's the bad-faced girl. At his feet shards of glasses scattered until everyone looked surprised and in amazement.

The governor then asked, "Why did you slam the glass?" Without fear the woman replied, "There are several reasons. First, breaking this glass means less wealth. But I think it's better than your authority to hold back because your orders are not obeyed." Governor's amazed. The guests were also amazed by the reasonable answer. Cause others?" ask Governor. The woman replied, "Secondly, I am only obeying the commandments of God. For in the Quran, Allah commands us to obey Allah, His Messenger, and the rulers. While the Master is the ruler, or ulil amri, then with all the risks I carry out the orders of the Master." The governor was amazed. And so does his guest's paranoia. "Is there another reason?"

The perempuan nodded and said, "Three, with me breaking the glass, people will think I am crazy. But it's better for me. Let me be labeled as crazy rather than not doing the Governor's orders, which means I have been disobedient. My accusations are crazy, I will receive with greater air than I am accused of being ungodly to my ruler. It's heavier for me."

So when then the Governor who died the wife proposed and married the ugly and jet-black woman, all who heard even turned back were very happy because the Governor had the soul mate of a woman who was not only obedient to her husband, but also obedient to her governor, to her Prophet, and to her Lord.
