Prophet s.a.w. And Debt Citation

The rude attitude and disrespectful speech of the Jews was very, very hurtful Syaidina Umar bin Khattab who was with the Prophet at that time. With violence. Because his angry feelings were so overflowing Syaidina Umar continued to strangle the Jew.

The Prophet was surprised by Syaidina Umar's attitude, because he could not control his feelings. Even though, the face of the Prophet of Islam was imagined his anger but he could control the feeling. Then he said to Syaidina Umar: O Umar, me and him, have more decent business. Let us both finish it and do not mix it up. The best of you tell me to pay the debt well and have him claim the debt well too. Actually I still have three more days to pay the debt''. So he ordered Syaidina Umar to pay his debt by giving the Jews twenty bushels of grain in return for Syaidina Umar being rude to the Jews.

When the Jew saw this, suddenly the words came out of the mouth of the Jew, saying: O Umar, these are prophetic signs. I have been able to see the signs reflected in the room the face of the prophet s.a.w. when I look at his face. I really wanted to know if he was a prophet. That's why I tested him to find out if he was a man of high character and forgiving. Witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.''

Such was the influence of nature and patience of the Prophet s.a.w to cause the Jews who wanted him to open their hearts to embrace Islam.
