Tsa'labah Bin Abdurrahman r.a.
A young man from the Ansar named Tsa'labah bin Abdurrahman converted to Islam. He was very loyal to serve the Prophet s.a.w. Once the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. sent him for a purpose. On her way through the house of one of the Ansars, she saw herself as a bathing Ansar woman. He was afraid of the revelation to the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. concerning his deeds. Then he ran away too. He went to a mountain between Mecca and Medina and climbed it.
For forty days the Prophet s.a.w. lost him. Then Gabriel a.s. descended to the Prophet s.a.w.and said, "O Muhammad! Surely your Lord sends you his greetings and says to you, "A man of your people is on this mountain pleading for My protection.""
So the Prophet said, "O Umar and Salman! Go find Tsa'laba bin Aburrahman, and bring him here." The two then went down the hills of Medina. In their search they met one of the Madinah shepherds named Dzufafah. Umar asked him, "Do you know of a young man among these hills?" The shepherd replied, "Don't you mean a man who ran from Hell?" "How do you know that he ran from Hell?" ask Umar. The dzaufafah replied, "Why, when the night has come, he comes out to us from these hills by putting his hand on his head and saying, "Why not take my life and you destroy my body, and don't let me wait for a decision!" "Yes, he is what we mean" Umar said. The three of them finally left together.
As the night approached, he came out from the hills with his hands on his head and said, "Oh, if only You had taken my life and destroyed my body, and don't let me wait for a decision!" Then Umar approached him and grabbed him. Tsa'labah said, "O Umar! Has the Prophet known my sins?" "I don't know, obviously yesterday he mentioned your name and sent me and Salman to look for you." Tsa'labah said, "O Umar! Don't take me to him unless he's in prayer"
When they found the Prophet praying, Umar and Salman immediately filled the prayer. When Tsa'laba heard the Prophet's recitation, she fell unconscious. After the Prophet said his greetings, he said, "O Umar! Salman! What have you done Tsa'labah?" The two replied, "Here we go, O Messenger of Allah!" So the Messenger of Allah stood up and moved Tsa'labah which made him aware. The Prophet said to him, "Why did you disappear from me?" Tsa'labah replied, "My sin, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, "Have I not taught you a verse that can take away sins and wrongs?" "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet said, "Say, O our Lord, give us happiness in the world and in the Hereafter and keep us from the torment of hell." (QS Al - Baqara:201)
"Why did you get your head out of my lap?" ask the Prophet s.a.w. "Where full of sins." He asked again, "How do you feel?" "It's like an ant on my bones, flesh, and skin." Answer Tsa'labah. He asked, "What do you want?" "Forgot my God." The answer.
So Jibril came down and said, "O Muhammad! Surely your Lord salutes you and says to you, "If only My servant had met Me with all the earth's iniquities, I would have met him with such forgiveness." Then immediately the Prophet s.a.w. informed him of this. Hearing the news, Tsa'labah strangled and died instantly.
Then the Prophet ordered that Tsa'labah be bathed and forgiven immediately. When it has been finished disholatkan, the Prophet s.a.w. walked while tiptoeing. After his funeral, the Companions said, "O Messenger of Allah! We see you walking on tiptoes." He said, "By Zat who sent me as a true prophet! Because, many angels who also visited Tsa'labah."
