The Qaruns were of the Prophet Moses, of Israelite nationality, and were not of the tribe of Qibthi (Gypsy, of Egypt). God sent Moses to him, as Moses sent to Pharaoh and Haman. Allah has given Qarun many treasures and abundant treasures that fill the coffins. The treasury of these treasures and chests were very heavy to lift because of the weight of the wealth of the Qarun. Despite being picked up by some strong and burly men, they were still overwhelmed.
Qarun used this treasure in heresy, tyranny and enmity and made him arrogant. This was a calamity and disaster for the infidels and the weak among the Children of Israel. In looking at Qarun and his wealth, the Children of Israel were divided into two groups. The first group is the group of people who believe in Allah and put what is with Him first. Therefore they were not beguiled by the treasure of Qarun and did not wish to have it. They even protested against his pride, heresy and corruption and hoped that he would spend his wealth in the way of Allah and contribute to other servants of Allah. The second group were the captivated and deceived by Qarun's property because they had lost the benchmark of values, foundations and foundations that could be used to evaluate Qarun and his property. They considered that the wealth of Qarun was a testament to God's pleasure and love for him. So they dream of such a fate.
Qarun was drunk and consumed by the abundance of wealth and wealth. All this made him blind from the truth and deaf from the counsel of the believer. When they asked Qarun to give thanks to Allah for the blessings of the wealth and asked him to use his wealth in useful things, disregard and lawful things because they are the treasures of Allah, he refused, saying "I was given the treasure only because of the knowledge I had"
One day, he came out to his people with his splendor and pride, pride and arrogance. Then the hearts of the poor were broken and their eyes were upon them, saying, "May we have what was given to Qarun; indeed he has great fortune." But the believers who are bestowed with knowledge exhort the deceived, saying, "Huge wretch to you, the reward of Allah is better for those who believe and do righteous deeds."
The sunnatullah is upon him and the wrath of Allah befalls him. His wealth causes Allah to wrath, causes him to be destroyed, and the coming of Allah's punishment. So Allah buried his property and his house into the earth, and split it apart and lost the earth, so he sank with his property, witnessed by the Children of Israel. No one can help and hold him back from the disaster, not to the benefit of his wealth and treasury.
When the Children of Israel saw the calamity that befell Qarun and his treasure, the faith of those who believed and were patient increased. As for those who have been deceived and dreamed like Qarun, they finally know the truth and open the veil, and praise Allah for not suffering the fate of Qarun. They said, "Okay, Allah has indeed extended the sustenance of whomever He wills from His servants and narrowed it down; if Allah had not bestowed His bounty upon us He would have buried us. true, there is no luck in those who deny (the mercy of Allah)."
The name Qarun is repeated four times in the Quran, twice in the Surah al-Qashash, once in the surah al-Ankabut, and once in the surah al-Mu'min. The mention in Surah al-Ankabut of the brief discussion of the lie by three thagutites, namely Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman, and Allah destroyed them.
"And (also) Qarun, Pharaoh and Haman. And indeed Moses came to them with (bringing proofs) clear proofs. However, they are arrogant in the (face) of the earth, and they are not the ones who escape (from the destruction).
And each (of them) We will punish him for his sin, and among them We have thrown him hail of stones and pebbles, and among them there is a loud thundering sound, among them We have buried in the earth, and among them We have drowned, and Allah will not persecute them, but they are the ones who persecute themselves." (al-Fog: 39-40)
The mention in Surah al-Mu'min (Ghafir) in the story of Moses' sent a.s.to the three thaguts who denied it. "We sent Moses with Our signs and a clear description to Pharaoh, Haman, and Qarun, and they said, He (Moses) is a lying sorcerer." (al-Mu'min: 23-24)
