When angels help humans

Once Ali ibn Abi Talib had just come home and said to his wife, Fatima az Zahra, “O noble lady, do you have any food for your husband??”

Fatima said, “By Allah I have nothing (any food), but here are six dirhams (silver money), my work and Salman (al Pharisee) spinning the feathers of the Jewish sheep. I'll buy food for Hasan and Husain!!”

Such is the situation of Fatima az Zahra, the beloved daughter of the Prophet of the SAW and her family. Actually, if only they wanted, it was easy for them to collect treasures and live in the luxury of the world. But just like the Prophet SAW, they chose to commit adultery in the life of this world. Not infrequently Fatima and Ali worked to draw water to water the date orchards belonging to the Jews, spinning the feathers of sheep, sorting dates and others. This is a picture of the life of a woman, whom the Prophet SAW once said, “The head of the women in heaven is Fatima az Zahra!!”

Hearing his wife's reply, Ali said, “Let me buy the food!!”

So Fatima handed over the six dirhams to her husband, who left the house immediately. But on the way to buy the food, Ali met a man who said, “Who would be the one who would lend a hand to the Most Merciful God, the One who always keeps his word???”

Without thinking, Ali handed the money of six dirhams of his wife's work to the man. He did not not not not remember that his family was starving, especially his two young children, but that was the upbringing and example given by the Prophet SAW. For most people it may be okay if ‘reduce the level of’ or the quality of the exemplified Prophet SAW, limited to the ability of each, but not for Ali. Since the toddler he was cared for by the Prophet SAW, even then married to his favorite daughter, if he ‘bergeser’ too far from the upbringing of the Prophet SAW, would have been a big mistake for him.

After that Ali immediately returned home, and Fatima greeted him with tears when she saw him carrying nothing. Ali said, “O noble lady, why are you crying??”

Fatima said, “Wahai Ali, you came home without bringing anything??”

Ali said, “O noble lady, I lent the money to Allah!!”

Without further explanation, understand Fatima what happened, then she said, “Really, I support your attitude!!”

Not knowing anymore what to do, Ali immediately went out of the house with the intention of meeting the Prophet SAW. But on the way he met a bedouin who was leading a camel. The unknown Bedouin said, “Oh Abul Hasan, buy this camel!!”

Ali said, “I have no money!!”

The Bedouin said again, “Buy with tempo (payment at the back)!!”

Ali said, ‘How much??”

“Alright,“ Says Ali, “Cubely for a hundred dirhams with tempo!!”

The Bedouin handed the camel to him and passed away. Ali did not know what to do with the camel, but he simply led it. But not far away suddenly another bedouin appeared to him, and said, “Oh Abul Hasan, do you want to sell this camel?”

Without thinking much, Ali said, “Ya!!”

“How much??”

“Tigaratus dirham!!” Said Ali.

“Alright, I bought it for tigaratus dirham!!”

Then the Bedouin, who was also unknown to him, paid for the tigaratus dirham, and took the camel away. Ali was overjoyed, so soon he bought some groceries for his family and went home. This time Fatima greeted him with a smile, and said, “Wahai Abul Hasan, what happened this time???”

With joy Ali said, “O Prophet's daughter, I bought a camel for a hundred dirhams with tempo, and I sold it again with cash for tigaratus dirham!!”

Fatima said, “I support that attitude of yours!!”

Some time later, Ali went to see the Prophet SAW in accordance with his previous intentions. Once he entered the mosque, the Prophet SAW smiled at him and said, “Wahai Abul Hasan, you tell me, or I just tell you??”

The Prophet said, “Blessed are you, Abul Hasan, you have lent six dirhams to Allah, so Allah gave you the tigaratus dirham. Each dirham was reciprocated with fifty times. The first Bedouin to meet you was Angel Gabriel, while the second was Angel Mikail!!”

Angels who help man, of course, by the permission and commandment of Allah SWT, may not only happen to the Prophet and his companions as the story above, or also in the Battle of Badr, may be, Hunain and other events. It could happen between our daily lives, it could be in the form of someone who is not recognized, who provides assistance such as the events experienced by Ali bin Abi Talib. Or maybe someone who is known to provide help, but actually ybs. It's just that Allah ordered the angel to be with the person to glorify him, as happened to a tabi’in named Abdullah bin Mubarak. Wallahu A’lam.
