The Story of Uqail with the Prophet.

Acts of Uqa'il With the Prophet s.a.w.

       One day Uqa'il ibn Abi Talib had gone with the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. At that time Uqa'il had seen a miraculous event that made his heart grow stronger in Islam because of these three things. The first event is that the Prophet will come to hajat, which is a big water and in front of him there are several trees. So he said to Uqa'il, "O Uqa'il keep walking up to the tree, and said to him, that the Messenger of Allah said; and; That you may all come to him to be his aling-aling or covering, for he will indeed take the water and defecate." 

       Uqa'il also went out and went to get the trees and before he finished the task it turned out that the trees had fallen from the roots and had surrounded around him s.a.w. The second event was that Uqa'il was thirsty and had searched everywhere for water but was not found. So he said to Uqa'il ibn Abi Talib, "Hi Uqa'il, climb the mountain, and say, "If you have water, give me a drink!" 

       Uqa'il went up the mountain and said to him as he had been commanded. So before he finished saying, the mountain said eloquently, "Tell the Messenger of Allah, that I, since Allah S.W.T, have sent down a verse which means ("O you who believe, keep yourselves and your families from the (torture) hellfire that feeds (fuel) from man and stone)." "I wept for fear that if I became that stone there would be no more water for me." 

       The villager replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I bought it at a great price, but he did not want to obey or did not want to be tame, then I will cut it and I will use the flesh (give it to those in need)." The Prophet s.a.w. asked, "Why do you harm him ?" The camel said, "O Messenger of Allah, I did not judge him by a work, but I did judge him by his evil deeds. Because the tribe that he included in his golongan, both sleep leaving the Isha prayer'. If he wants to promise you that he will do the Isha' prayer, then I promise that I will never do it again. For I fear that Allah will send down His portion to them while I am among them." 

       Finally Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. took the agreement of the Arab people of the village, that he would not leave the Isha prayer'. And the Prophet Muhammad c.a.w. handed the camel to him. And he went back to his family.
