The Sabbath, or the current Saturday, is the great day on which the followers of the teachings of the Prophet Moses AS (at the time of the Prophet PBUH known as the Jews) are prohibited from doing any activity except for worship, reading or studying the Torah.
Once, a Jewish man living in Sham filled his Sabbath to study the Torah. He found in the Torah verses that mention the nature and condition of Prophet Muhammad SAW, the prophet who was predicted to come down as the cover of the Prophets, as much as four pages. He immediately cut off the four pages of the Torah and burned them.
At that time the Prophet was sent and lived in Medina. Meanwhile, some Jewish leaders and pastors did "indoctrination" to his worshipers that the Prophet Muhammad SAW was a liar. If the nature and story of him is found in the Torah, they must cut and burn him because it is additional verses in the Torah that are not true. The Jewish man from Sham was a member of this sect.
On the following Saturday, he also filled his day with a study of the Torah, and he found eight pages that mentioned about the circumstances and properties of the Prophet SAW. As before, he cut off the eight pages and set them on fire.
On the following Saturday, he was still studying the Torah, and this time he found the same thing, even added to the story of some of his friends around him, and he found it in 12 pages. This time he did not cut him off, but he thought and said in his heart, "If I always cut off a part like this, it is possible that this Torah will entirely mention the nature and state of Muhammad..!!"
Surely we do not know for sure, is the content of the Torah like that? Or indeed Allah SWT has led the men of Judaism to His guidance, so that every time it is cut, it will appear miraculously (miracles) on other pages, more and more complete about the state of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
But, three times the experience of the study has raised a great curiosity and curiosity to the Prophet SAW. Even with the three times of his study, it was as if his qualities and circumstances had been fixed in his head, and as if knowing him was very familiar.
He came to his Jewish friends and said, "Who is this Muhammad?"
"He was a great liar (who lived in Medina)" said one of his friends, "You better not see him, and he does not need to see you!!"
But the Jewish man who had "seen" with "the scientific certainty" about the state of the Prophet SAW, did not seem to be easily influenced by his friends. As if there is a yearning to clot the figure of Muhammad who has never been known and met it. A longing that brings up anxiety, which will not be lost unless it meets directly with the figure of imagination in his mind. He said firmly, "By the truth of the Torah of Moses, do not hinder me from visiting Muhammad…!!"
With such a strong determination, his friends were no longer able to block his steps to meet the Prophet SAW in Medina. This Jewish man prepared his vehicle and supplies and immediately drove him through the desert without delay. A few days of walking, day and night continued to walk, until he finally entered the city of Medina.
The first person to meet him was Salman al-Farisi's friend. Because Salman had a handsome face, and resembled the image he had obtained in the Torah, he said, "Are you Muhammad?"
Salman did not immediately answer, even immediately he cried to get the question, so that made this Jewish man amazed. Then Salman said, "I am his messenger!"
Indeed, that day had been three days the Prophet died and his body was buried only yesterday night, so such a question reminded him of him and made Salman cry. Then the Jew said, "Where is Muhammad?"
Salman thought quickly, if he told the truth that the Prophet SAW had died, maybe this man would come home, but if he said he was still alive, then he lied. Salman said, "Let me take you to his friends!"
Salman took the Jewish man to the mosque, where friends were gathering in a state of sadness. When he arrived at the door of the mosque, the Jewish man exclaimed rather loudly, "Assalamu'alaika, o Muhammad!"
He thought the Prophet SAW was among the group of companions, but again he saw a surprising reaction. Some people broke out in tears, some more and more as they pleased and the sadness covered their faces. One friend said, "O stranger, who are you? You have indeed renewed our wounds! Don't you know that he died three days ago?"
The Jewish man wept bitterly, drowning in his own sorrow. As if remembering something, he suddenly said, "Is Ali here, so that he can mention his qualities to me!"
"There," said Ali bin Abi Talib, drawing near to the Jewish man.
"I found your name in the Torah with Muhammad. Please tell me his features!"
Ali ibn Abi Talib said, "The apostle of the SAW is not tall and not short, his head is round, his forehead is wide, his eyes are sharp, his eyebrows are thick. When he laughs, light comes out from between his teeth, his chest is hairy, his palms are filled, his soles are sunken, his steps are wide, and between his two belicates there is a sign of khatamun nubuwah!!"
"You are right, O Ali" said the Jew, "Such are the characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad mentioned in the Torah. Are there any leftover clothes on her so I can kiss her?"
"Still!" Ali said, then he asked Salman to help take the mantle of Prophet Muhammad SAW which saved Fatima az Zahrah, his wife and favorite daughter of Prophet SAW.
Salman immediately rose to Fatima's residence. At the door of his house, he heard the cries of Hasan and Husayn, the grandson of the Prophet SAW. Knocking at the door, Salman said, "O Prophet's place of pride, o place of decoration of the guardians!!"
"Who knocks at the door of the orphan!" Fatima said from within.
"I, Salman.." Said Salman, then he mentioned the intention of his arrival as ordered by Ali.
"Who will wear my father's robe?" Fatima said while crying.
Salman recounted the incident relating to the Jewish man, then Fatima took out the mantle of the Prophet SAW, which had seven patches with date fiber ropes, and handed them to Salman, who immediately brought them to the mosque. After receiving the cloak from Salman, Ali kissed it accompanied by haru and cried, until his eyes were full. The robe of the Prophet was circulated from one friend to another who was present, they kissed him and many cried because of haru and longing for the Prophet SAW, and lastly fell into the hands of the Jewish man.
This Jewish man kissed and clasped the Prophet SAW's robe and said, "How fragrant is this robe…!!"
Steadily clutching the robe, the Jewish man approached the tomb of the Prophet, then turned his head to the sky and said, "O Lord, I testify that You are the One, Single and dependent places (AshShomad). And I testify that the one who is in this tomb is Your Apostle and Your lover. I justify everything he taught! O Allah, if You accept my Islam, then take away my life right now..!!"
Soon the Jewish man fell and died. Ali and the other companions were moved and saddened to see the Jewish situation. They immediately bathed and took care of the body of the Jewish man, who had become a Muslim, and buried him in Baqi'.
This Jewish man is not a friend of the Prophet SAW, even in his Islam there has been no other prayer or prayer that he did, but his love and longing for NabiSAW make it appropriate if he was buried in Baqi' compared to his other friends.
