"Never dare you touch her.!"
I turned my head for a moment, looking at the man who was now tightly gripping Silvana's hand.
"Let go.!" Silvana struggled, trying to let go of his hand. "Who are you? aren't you the guy who came with Bella?"
"Mas Tian?" Mumamku. I shook my head, asking that the man let go of Silvana's hand.
"You dare touch her, I won't stay silent." It was her words that surprised me a little.
"Oh ..." Silvana laughed sarcastically. "Did Bella know that the man who came with her defended a cheap woman like her?"
"Just talk to you."
"Why? that's true, isn't it?"
"Mas enough, take off her hand." Although upset, but I don't want to make a fuss here.
Tian let go of Silvana's hand right then and there. Before leaving, the man stared intently at Silvana and grabbed my hand and took me away right then and there. Leaving Silvana, Bella and Raffi who had been there since when they were both there.
Why did I just shut up when Tian took me away? Why did I shut up and not refuse when Tian led me into his car?
I don't know what happened to me, I just thought as Tian took me, left the party and became the center of attention there.
It wasn't me, but Tian who ignored the gazes of everyone including Bella who kept calling her name. The woman half-screamed, continuing to chase our steps but not one bit made Tian want to stop.
Even when Raffi tried to chase after me, I chose to go with Tian. I don't want to make Raffi the target of his Papa's anger because of the chaos that happened a while ago.
Luckily Raffi understood. The man also felt guilty for the outrageous attitude of Silvana.
Being in the car, no one opened their voices. The atmosphere in the car felt so calm. I was silent, even with Tian. The man was only focused on staring at the streets, although I knew that Tian would occasionally take the time to glance at me.
Halfway through the trip we both passed, I immediately saw Tian's face that turned tense when I received a phone call from Mama Maya. I don't know what made Tian turn into such a panic, I haven't had time to ask suddenly Tian just turned back his car, in the opposite direction to our main goal. My House.
"Sorry, I have to go right away." Despite not asking, Tian seemed to have been able to read my thoughts. "I need to get to the hospital right now." It was her words that surprised me a little.
The infirmary?
"What's wrong? who's sick?"
"Cheery."
"Cheery's? what's up with Cheery, Mas?"
"The fever is high, and Mama Cheery says it should be treated."
After that there was nothing else we both talked about, maybe this is not the time I asked the man more. I chose silence again, occasionally noticing Tian who several times sighed heavily while rubbing his face in a huff. I've never seen Tian that hot before.
Twenty minutes later, Tian and I had just arrived at one of the hospitals where Cheery was currently receiving treatment. Tian spread his legs wide, the man seemed to be impatient to meet Cheery, his little princess who was now lying weak. Tian kept walking quickly, so he forgot that I had a little trouble chasing him because of the shoes and dresses I was wearing at this moment.
But ... I was a little surprised when Tian suddenly just stopped at exactly a few steps with where I was standing right now. Although tired and anxious, the man took the time to look at me and smile.
"I'm sorry."
Again, I heard the apology coming back from his lips. After five years passed, somehow I heard Tian more easily say a sentence that used to be very difficult for him to say. In fact, I never once heard that apology from his lips.
"Why apologize?" I asked when I stood in front of him.
"It's okay, Mom. I understand."
"I should have taken you home, not brought you here and left you like this."
"That's it, Mommy." I throw a thin smile. I don't know why I want to see that kid right now. "Now we meet Cheery first."
Tian nodded, then the two of us walked together until we reached the front of one of the doors of the room where Cheery was currently in the care.
Tian opened the door slowly and entered, with me following him from behind. Besides Papa, Mama and Asih who were on guard while slightly surprised because of my presence that came with Tian, Mama and Asih, the first thing I saw was that the tiny body was lying weakly on the bed with an infusion hose stuck in its hand.
The pretty face with her padlocked cheeks looked very pale despite being in such a sleeping state.
Seeing his daughter in such a state of pain made Tian go straight to him, the man kissed her whole face and kissed the tiny hand many times. As for me, I approached Papa and Mama - my former in-laws first. As usual, Papa Adi and Mama Maya treated me very well, not forgetting they both said a lot of thanks because I wanted to visit Cheery.
"Cheery's fine, the fever's not like it was." Mama Maya approached, then patted the shoulder of Tian who was sitting next to Cheery at the moment.
"But Cheery's okay, isn't it, Ma? there are no serious illnesses, right?" Tanya Tian was worried.
Mama Maya shook her head, explaining to Tian that Cheery only had a stomach infection and that he had received treatment from a doctor. There was no serious illness like Tian was worried about right now. Tian was also very grateful that Cheery's condition had begun to improve.
I saw that Tian did not stop peeping the tiny hand, making Cheery feel disturbed and immediately opened his eyes.
"Sir ...!" Her great-grandchild.
"Yes, honey. Papa is here." Tian kissed the entire tiny face again.
"So Cheery's dizzy, Pa." His sister. "Cheery's body is hot too."
That's how Cheery, the little boy continued to chatter, making everything there was also anxious when he heard it, even with me. I just found out that Cheery is a talkative kid, unlike his dad who is very talkative.
I couldn't resist when Cheery asked me to sit on the right side, opposite Tian who was sitting on his left.
I did not feel my time accompanying Cheery here was long enough, I saw the clock that was coiled on my wrist showing it was almost eleven o'clock at night. Then I decided to go home because it was too late, and I didn't want to worry Mom.
I decided to go home in a taxi. But Papa and Mama Maya forbid. The two of them didn't let me go home by myself, and they both asked Tian to drive me, even though I refused.
"Be careful, baby. Say hi to your mom, huh?"
I left the room and was lucky that Cheery had fallen asleep again after I read to him.
As usual, the trip from the hospital to my house felt so long because Tian and I were both silent. There was nothing the two of us talked about until the car that was driven by Tian finally arrived in front of the fence of my house.
"Thank you for taking me home, Mom." I said while opening the seatbelt. I want to get out and into my house. Because being in one car with Tian made me unable to breathe properly. "I'm in, Mas. Say hello to Cheery."
"Mrs ...!"
I opened the car door and suddenly stopped.
"I'm sorry if I have to say it again."
I just kept quiet, waiting for what Tian would say next. "I was serious about what I said the other day."
"You mean, Mom?" I looked over, looking at the owner of those dark eyes now.
"About my feelings."
"I love you. I'm really in love with you." It was me who made me instantly silent.
