A few hours after Dad's funeral,
I am still devastated and very lost the figure of Dad makes me reluctant to do anything. The wound that had not completely dried up from knowing that Tian had remarried, was now growing gaping after Father left. I just want to be alone. Just like what I am doing now, I still feel at home in Mom and Dad's room while hugging the pot tightly. I looked at the photo for a long time, until it did not feel clear liquid like krystal it kept falling when all the flashes about Dad revolved in my head.
When he laughed, when he hugged me, when he advised me, and there were many more memories that Dad left behind.
Honestly, it's only been a few hours since Dad left, I've missed him so much.
"Dad ..." I glanced along with the sound of my crying coming back breaking. I hugged it tightly and I admired the photo so many times that I unknowingly sat down beside me. He rubbed my head gently and said.
"Darling .. is not good if you continue to behave like this. I'm sure if your dad finds out, he'll be sad, son."
I turned my head, looking at that shady face that was slowly starting to smile. I know that my mother is still like me. Mom was sad, she lost Dad too much, but as much as I could hide it so as not to make me sadder.
"Mr ...!" I hugged him.
"Your father is calm there. He'll be sad to see you cry like this." Said Mom, hugging me tight. "We're willing, we're praying Dad's here, okay?"
My head nodded, I buried my face in Mom's embrace. If there wasn't a mother, maybe I wouldn't be as strong as I am now.
"Son, hurry and meet your husband. Poor thing he hasn't eaten and bathed since last night. Your husband must be tired."
Husband? Oh my God ...
Why did I forget about Tian?
I looked up, looking at Mom from below. "Sir Tian is in the living room. He's waiting for you."
I broke my embrace, then wiped the corner of my eyes that had just kept shedding tears. Really, if it wasn't for Mom reminding me, I forgot that Tian was here too. I didn't realize where he was, but last night Tian drove me home. Even though I refused, the man insisted. And again there's no reason for me to ban him, because he's still my husband and daughter-in-law in this house anyway.
"Mom, I ..."
"Meet Nak Tian first, take him to your room for a break. From last night, I saw that Nak Tian had not slept until now."
I nodded, forced to obey Mother's orders to meet Tian. I'm sure that guy must be very tired. Moreover, last night I saw Papa and Mama Maya asking Tian to take care of all the necessities, pay the hospital fees to the funeral costs.
As soon as I arrived in the living room, I saw the man leaning his head against the back of the sofa with his eyes closed. True Mother said, if it seems like Tian is really exhausted right now.
Seeing Tian like that, made me feel unbearable. Moreover, it seemed like Tian was still wearing the same clothes when we left here in a hurry.
I approached him, and it seemed like Tian was aware of my presence right now.
"Mrs ..." Tian edged up. I also saw the man kneeling his temple.
"Why don't you go home?"
"You mean?" The man looked at me while frowning.
Not much to say, I decided to bring Tian into my room. For this time, I will let the man rest in my room, after that, then I will ask him to go home.
As soon as Tian and I arrived inside the room, we both fell silent in silence with our thoughts. I was silent, even with Tian now standing in front of me while looking at me fixedly. No conversation was going on between us.
Feeling uneasy because Tian kept watching me, I decided to have him take a shower first, while I would bring him a change of clothes and prepare dinner.
" ... But I'm still here."
"... I can't go home now."
"... You're fine there, huh? I'll call you later."
"... bye. I love you too."
My body froze behind the door, overhearing a conversation between Tian and someone behind the phone. I had forgotten that it was not just me in that man's life right now, but there was someone who might be waiting for him to come home.
I opened the door of the room, then entered and found Tian who had finished bathing. He was still standing while drying his wet hair with a towel. Although it was uncomfortable that Tian was only wearing a towel that covered his bottom, I approached, and gave him the change of clothes I took from inside his car.
"Thank you."
"It's the food, you haven't eaten yet, have you?" I put the plate with the rice and the side dishes and the glass of water on the table. While waiting for Tian who was wearing clothes in the bathroom, I sat down and took the picture again. I swiped the frame glass on Dad's picture.
"Nai..."
Tian was dumbstruck, looking at me who was crying without a sound. Hearing my words, Tian sat down beside me. I immediately wiped the traces of the liquid from my cheek.
"You eat first, Mas. will be cold."
"Have you eaten?'
My head shook.
"You should eat too, Naya. Let you not be sick." I looked at him in disbelief, did Tian really say that phrase to me?
The man who usually ignored me, for some reason lately Tian has changed a little.
"I'm not hungry yet, Mom."
Tian nodded, maybe he understood because I was still grieving. In silence, I noticed Tian who was putting his food into his mouth very greedily, it seemed like Tian was indeed hungry because from yesterday night maybe he forgot to fill his stomach. I allowed Tian to finish his meal, although occasionally the man glanced at me.
"Maos ..." Tian who had just finished eating, and stored the plate back onto the table. Then look.
"What's wrong?"
"Thank you, you've bothered to bring me here." He looked at me, putting his glass back on the table. "For the hospital payment, and for Dad's funeral, I'll change."
"What do you mean? I won't ask for money to change with you. Unnecessary. I'm sincere, because your dad's my dad, too, right?"
I turned, looking at him with an incredulous look. My tears broke again as I remembered back with my last words from Father. He asked me to be a good wife and obey my husband. He asked me to keep the honor of our marriage. I really hope that Tian and I will live happily ever after with his grandchildren.
Without Dad knowing, if I had prepared for his farewell.
"From tomorrow, you can go. Mas." The man looked quickly at me. "I'll be here, and preparing for our farewell after forty days of Dad's departure."
"You mean?" Tian asked, his eyes still pocused on me.
I'm looking at him now. "You should go back, because someone's waiting for you there, right?" I don't know why I'm back to feeling pain in my heart. Especially after I accidentally heard the conversation between the two of them on the phone.
"Naya .. I." Tian approaching.
"You better go home, Mom. He needs you more than me."
"I'm not going home, I'm staying here." Reply sure.
"For what, Mom?"
"To accompany you, because I'm still your husband anyway."
"Husband?" I grinned, "When did you admit you were my husband?" I looked away when I remembered that Tian had married another woman besides me.
"My decision is round, Mom. I'm giving up, and I'm gonna back out of your life."
"Naya, I'm sorry for marrying Tari. But there's another reason why I married her." I didn't expect Tian to kneel before me. "I'm not going to divorce you, I promise to be fair to you."
"Avil?" I shook my head in disbelief, where was the man's conscience. We are not married for love, but I am also a woman. Which woman would share without loving each other. No, I don't want to.
"You said you wanted to be fair?" My toot.
"Yes." Yeah." Answer with a head that nodded.
I smiled smirkingly, "Be fair how? while you don't like me, Mum?"
"I'll try to love you, Naya."
"Mas ...?!" I stood up, even with Tian standing.
"You love that woman. Do you think she'd share with me, huh?" My eyes shimmered around, I was afraid that until Mom heard our conversation.
I saw Tian closing his eyes tightly. "Dance to share with you. She even wants to be a second wife."
"But I don't want to, I'm not ready for it." My head shook. "Then from that, I want you to immediately drop my talaq." My breath's choked. Without feeling the clear water was back to fall. "I want to split up, Mom.!"
"Who will separate?"
Deg, man,
Neither me nor Tian, we were both shocked by the thumping chest as Mother's voice rang out.
