A Werewolf Girl's

"How did you know they were mate?" asked Zee who still seemed to be in disbelief at his correct guess. "So far, your brother still looks ordinary. You know for yourself, if the new mate meets it usually...."

Lilian knew what Zee wanted to say. Their faces were both flushed red from already knowing what happened when the mate met for the first time.

Mate, a couple that has been determined by a binding destiny, will make men and women in the bond to crave the presence of each other. No one can deny that desire for the first time, but it will be different if the two have met without the knowledge of the other.

"They've met before. You know that too, right?"

Zee seemed to be wondering before realizing what Lilian had said. "Ah, right! That time event, huh? I forgot about it because I was too busy at the restaurant, my homework was still piling up."

"Yes. So don't delay doing the task, you're a veteran right then?"

The girl nodded. "Not to be discussed again, we'll talk about your brother again...."

"Yes, hehe. Sorry."

"So.... What's your plan now? Just hearing your words sounds difficult because Grace and your sister are opposite each other," said Zee seemed to think. "I also get the impression that their relationship is not as close as their usual mate."

Lilian snapped her finger. "Well, that's something we still have to think about."

"I guess you already know for saying your purpose first."

"That's so I'm more excited. You're also interested in helping me, right?" lillian asked rhetorically.

He also knows that Stefan's relationship with Grace is not good enough. Lilian knew that a few days ago the two men had met secretly, but after that there had been no other developments showing their affection.

The plan to unite them in the kitchen may not have brought any changes, but there is no harm in trying even if it only has a little effect, rather than no effort at all.

"Of course I'll help. I also want our herd back to what it used to be, with no divisions or two camps like this," Zee looks determined, just like her.

"I thank you for listening to me, Zee."

Zee smiled slightly. "It doesn't have to be that way. Either way, every member of the herd is a family. Just listening to you tell stories and help is nothing."

"I hope Grace will help our herd solve this problem."

The girl does not expect that what she wants will go quickly. She and the other members, as well as her brother, are still in the stage of adapting to their respective restaurants and work sections.

Grace and Chloe's presence is a breath of fresh air in their herd, but the two men clearly need time to adapt to the rest of the herd. Of course they could not directly force the two to cooperate. Just separating from their herd must have been very difficult.

"Oh yeah, anybody know that Grace is your sister's mate?" ask Zee suddenly.

Lilian answered with confidence. "I know, we're the only ones who know. You're the first person I've ever told you about this."

"You haven't told Bram?"

Zee looks surprised again. If Stefan is not the most aware of the latest news from Lilian, then Bram is the next. The girl always shared the news first with one of them before spreading it to other members.

"Yes, it's not a big deal, is it? My brother will definitely announce it later as well," Lilian said calmly. "Again... Bram's been tired lately from having a night shift, I don't want to interrupt his break."

The girl finally understood the reason for Lilian's unusual behavior. "Want to...."

Lilian only smiled in return while Zee grumbled, unceasingly comparing the bond between Lilian and Bram who were already like adult mate, to her, with that chick and her own mate who was still like a mortal enemy even though it was only a year away before their time arrived.

They chatted for a while before Zee finally said goodbye. Lilian escorted the girl away while staring at the house in front of her. The residence of his uncle. The lights had gone out as usual, but Lilian felt that her uncle was still awake in a room, reading his collection of books before bed, just like their routine a few years ago.

"Will uncle still let me read every night here?" lillian asked at that time, in the library which was in the basement of her uncle's house.

A place that is usually damp and only contains unused furniture, has been transformed by his uncle into a room that feels comfortable with many books arranged on several bookshelves. There are two reclining chairs with a small table that is used for dry snacks and put the book that is being read there.

The air flow was well made so that the library always made Lilian feel at home spending all day, if she did not want to play with other children. Many times, the girl will be seen sleeping after spending one to three storybooks in the same day, without feeling bored in the slightest.

His uncle nodded to respond to his question. "Of course I can. You can use this room as you please, Lilian."

At that moment Lilian immediately felt excited and hugged her uncle tightly. The younger man from the present pretended to be in pain for his nephew to laugh, but also made the girl let go of their embrace in order to carry him on her back.

The room was already like a hiding place and a secret for the two of them. No one bothers the two if they are there, even Stefan and his parents if they come to his uncle's house.

In exchange for her absence and that of her uncle, her aunt would accompany other members of her family and make delicious snacks to accompany their day when they gathered together. Their families were then visited by children from other herd members who were interested in the fragrant sweet bread that had just been baked.

It was one of the most beautiful and pleasant times for Lilian, even now. He's pensive.

"Why did you do that, Uncle?" Lilian asked despite knowing that no one would answer.

The girl let out a long breath after being silent for a while, before finally closing the door, leaving a quiet atmosphere of herd behind the door of her house.
