There are five main activities that are usually done in the Allison herd. The activities consisted of breakfast, household activities, exercise, lunch, free time and dinner. All of those activities involve all members of the herd without exception. If anyone does not do his duty, according to the words of Chloe the oldest among them, members of the herd will not get his rights for a certain period of time.

Grace initially doesn't care much about the rule because she can have Dave or Malcolm replace her or even other members of her lower age without risking being discovered. After all, by age, he was the second oldest in the herd at the moment.
