A Werewolf Girl's

A Werewolf Girl's
1.11

"Well, Allison, this is our room" said Chloe, opening the door at the very end of the second-floor hall.

I spread the view. The room is spacious with three beds and each chest is located at the foot of the bed. There was a small dressing table across the bed with a gallows standing next to it, a striped window next to one of the beds and a sink in the corner of the room near the window.

"There's one more person sleeping here but he's still not back" Chloe said, clapping her hand against the coffin at the foot of my bed. "This is a place to store clothes and all your personal needs, in it there are already some clothes if you want to change clothes."

I nodded my head. "Thank you." I patted my bed and laid myself down. I feel a little tired. "The furniture feels comfortable."

"certain. Rest, you must be tired."

I nodded again and closed my eyes, enjoying the comfortable feeling of the mattress while letting my body feel relaxed after crowding around with many people and talking about something very important.

Something suddenly landed on my bed.

"Sorry to surprise you" said Chloe grimacing. "Eat."

"What's this?" I asked, staring at the silver-colored aluminum bundle the size of my palm and without writing.

"Chocolate, what else?" he answered, his hands were still busy reaching into his coffin to pick something up, for some reason, then soften the look of his face when he looked back at me. "Relax, it's just plain chocolate. Eat it so you feel better, Allison."

"I'm sorry."

She smiles. "It's okay."

I unwrapped the chocolate and ate it, enjoying the sweetness of the sweet snack in my mouth. I took a breath and ate it faster.

"Me and the others are still downstairs if you need anything. Rest."

"alright. Thank you." Thank you."

Chloe smiled again before finally stepping outside and closing the door.

I was still busy with the chocolate I was eating when my mind drifted back. It feels so confusing and unreal. I don't know what to do after hearing their whole story. I still feel like I have no clue about the responsibility I have to take on.

I grabbed my backpack, the only item I carried, then opened it, put my hand between the course book and the notebook and finally grabbed a thin string of necklaces in the bag's inner bag.

My hand moved to wipe the thin string of the necklace and then stopped at a circle-shaped pendulum of faded silver, on one side there was a small hinge indicating that the pendulum could be opened.

I slowly opened the valve and found one tiny photo on each side, a photo of a pair of men and women and a photo of a 2-year-old girl looking at me with a plain look. Photos of my parents and me.

I rubbed a picture of the pair of men and women who were most likely my parents, staring at the photo of both their faces intently for the third time in my life. My eyes felt so hot that a drop of tears fell on the surface of the photo as my brain automatically repeated Will's words.

.... It involved your grandfather and Whitney

I know the risk....

.... So you take it easy.

'Your grandfather killed Whitney—'s father indirectly he betrayed his promise.'

"Why.." I muttered involuntarily, clasping tightly onto the strand of the necklace until it broke when Will's other words approached.

'Whitney killed your father, but he let you and your mother go.'

'A few years later, he suddenly changed his mind.... Your mother followed your father that day.'

'You don't remember, but the truth is, you were required to take over, Allison.'

"How is this.." I muttered slowly covering my face with both hands. "What am I supposed to do, Mom, Dad?"

Silent.

I sighed tremblingly then rubbed both hands on the face, got up from the bed and then put the necklace back on. I can't be like this. I walked over to my crate and looked inside, there was a small towel, two plain t-shirts and a checkered shirt, slightly oversized jeans and cargo pants there.

I picked up a t-shirt and cargo pants in exchange for the clothes I'm wearing now.

Finished alternating clothes, I stepped into the sink and washed my face, drying it with a small towel earlier. The gaze of my eyes was indirectly faced with the mirror, staring at the reflection of a pale face framed with brown hair and hazel eyes that looked tired.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door that made me a little surprised. "Who?"

"I'm Dave," said someone faintly. "Evening is ready, come down."

"You're still here?" I was astonished to stare at the figure of the man leaning beside the door of the room.

He just nodded his head without looking at me. "Come on."

Without saying anything, I followed her down the hallway of the room and down the stairs towards the dining room. He walked in front of me so I could only see his back clad in a blue shirt and his black hair that looked curly.

Arriving in the dining room the guy seemed to want to get away from me immediately, but somehow my hand moved faster to grab his arm. He immediately turned to look at me, looking a little surprised, but did not refuse my hand grip.

"What's wrong?"

I smiled doubtfully. What have I thought about acting so impulsively? "Thank you for driving me."

"Together." He looked at me for a while, his eyes looking increasingly green with the blue shirt he was wearing. "Do you want to eat with me and my brother?" He pointed towards Malcolm and Grace who were in one corner of the room along with several others.

I immediately took off my hand. I don't want to get close to Malcolm right now "No, no, no."

"All right." He looked at me again, about to say something before undoing his intentions. "Good meal."

"You too."

I saw him approaching the crowd, receiving food from Grace and in a few moments getting involved in the conversation.

I circled my gaze the other way and saw some people already gathered at the dining table and faced the side dishes presented before my eyes. Some people who do not get to the place choose to sit on the sofa or chairs without a table scattered there.

"Here, Ally," said someone suddenly beating the buzz of chatter in the dining room.

My eyes immediately saw Emily patting the bench next to her. I immediately walked over and sat down where he pointed.

"Hi, how are you?" I asked as if we rarely met.

"Good."

"Hurt your head?"

I'm shaking. "Just a little."

He laughed and patted my shoulder. "Thank God, I don't think you're gonna want to get out of the room."

"It was, but my stomach was hungry."

"Good decision!" Emily smiled widely, pointing at the various dishes that were in front of us. "Theo, our young chef, is already cooking delicious and filling meals for all of us. Isn't that right, Theo?"

"That's right!" A man sitting on the sofa nodded and smiled broadly. "Good fun with my dishes, Allison."

I opened my mouth to answer, but was stopped by the words of two people who looked similar to each other.

"Hey, we helped, too, you know." One of the twins said.

"The salad is our making, don't confess carelessly, Theo," he continued.

"But-"

The twin girls immediately glared. Theo closed his mouth tightly, looking sad.

People, including me and Emily, laughed. Of course they were just joking, because after that I could see the twins approaching Theo and chatting. Emily also invited me to chat so that I followed her chatter while devouring the available food.

For a while, the worries and things I had to think about did not cross my mind. A comfortable atmosphere that felt familiar, like when in an orphanage, but much longer than that.

"By the way, where's Will?" ask me to realize his absence among the people who were around us. "I didn't see it."

"He's hunting" he replied. "If left for much longer, perhaps his condition would deteriorate even faster."

I nodded in understanding while chewing the food that was in my mouth. Without the blood of his partner, the blood of the animal would be better to quench his thirst for now.

"Hey, Allison .. want to go for a walk?"

I turned to him while frowning in wonder. "For what? It's night, isn't it?"

He smiled meaningfully. "Follow, someone wants to see you there."
