A Werewolf Girl's

A Werewolf Girl's

Whitney and Will's body was burned after that. Me and the others watched as their bodies were slowly engulfed by the flames in the blazing flames, lying side by side with their hands touching each other on top of the pile of wood.

After being burned, the piled ash was collected into one into a white jar of bone. Chloe kept the jar while in the glass cabinet of the gathering room so that it could be well supervised by other members who began to move as usual.

"We need to track down the whereabouts of Whitney's other members, Allison."

I turned around from my daydreaming activities and frowned towards Dave who was already standing behind me. "For what?"

"Peace," Dave said briefly before sitting next to me and continuing his words. "We also have to hand over the ashes to them."

I fell silent at his words and lowered my head, not knowing what to answer and still struggling with other thoughts that continued to bother me.

It's not your fault Dave said in an instant echoed in my mind.

.... My fault.

He did it according to his own will.

I'm shaking. If I don't agree with that plan, it's possible that she and Whitney are still alive. We may have better plans to execute without sacrificing them.

Dave sighed softly and directed his gaze at me, his sharp gaze felt right through my body even though I couldn't see it. As much as possible I try not to care about it and keep my head down while forming imaginary images with my fingers.

"Let's go."

I turned back to look at him and looked at him who now looked bent over to grab his feet, starting to take off his socks and shoes.

"Where?" I asked to see him who had now switched off his jacket and shirt.

He glanced at me and answered. "The forest."

.

I galloped through the trees and bushes that flashed all around me, some twigs and thorns had scratched my body which was now covered in fur quite thick as the color of my hair. A cold wind hit my body and then flowed gently through it.

On the other hand Dave ran alongside me and followed my rhythm so well that I could barely distinguish his steps from my own, not speaking the slightest bit on the way.

Where are you going?

Dave glanced at me and growled softly without answering my question. Just enjoy it, he said flatly as his replacement.

I finally fell silent then chose to concentrate on my footsteps which remained smoothly without any meaningful hindrance. My body seemed to know which direction I should take so as not to bump into anything even with yang— eyes

Careful.

—closed though. I tripped.

I groaned softly after a snort of holding laughter rang out in my head, a soft-sounding footsteps also sounded and ended with a warm gust over my head.

That okay?

I sighed softly and then closed my eyes, my chin felt throbbing pain for a while before finally answering quietly. I'm it's okay.

There was another snort before I felt Dave lying next to me with a little distance left. I opened my eyes and saw him looking back at me.

You're funny, he said suddenly.

Whaties?

Dave again snorted at my words. Plain.

Mean what? tanyaku started to raise his head and looked at him with a frown not understanding.

Why are you being the alpha?

I fell silent, not knowing what to answer and chose to keep looking into her eyes that were still unread by me.

Sweet.

—you're drunk?

He came back snorting for the umpteenth time. Might as well.

I don't understand what you mean, Dave.

He looked as if he was smiling in return at me, I know.

I sighed softly. Why do you always answer me briefly every time I'm serious?

I don't know, he replied directly, looking surprised by my question that deviated from before. Wh why?

You even asked back.

Dave fell silent and took his eyes off me. It's not important to discuss. You're getting better?

I think .. yes.

Dave nodded then got up from his previous position without looking at me. Good, let's go back.

~°~°~°~

"Who's going?" chloe asked, looking one by one at the members gathered in one room.

"I'm leaving" Malcolm said, nudging the man next to him. "You too, right, Dave?"

"Hm, yeah."

Grace who was among them seemed to wrinkle her face dislike but she ended up saying nothing after seeing Chloe's sharp gaze that did not want to be denied.

"If Hans comes along, I'm coming, '" Emily said calmly.

Chloe frowned then turned to look at the girl who was currently standing beside Hans. "You sure it's okay, Emily?"

Emily nodded.

Chloe sighed. "Then you should leave right now, Dave and Allison will lead."

I nodded in understanding and then received a scroll and urn from Chloe, Theo who was next to her gave me her signature grin while giving words of encouragement until her big sister elbowed her waist because it was too noisy.

Dave and Malcolm walked in the car with Emily, Hans and I behind them. I sat myself between two brothers who had just met with Dave as he drove his car.

"You guys got into a fight?" emily whispered suddenly down towards me.

I shook my head in response, Dave and I were not fighting.

"Really?" ask Emily again sounds unsure. "Everything between you feels cold to me, you feel it too, don't you, Hans?"

Hans looked at me for a moment and nodded in agreement to Emily's words.

I could only sigh and refocus to stare at the windshield that presented a seemingly off-road view with a few other cars. We headed downtown where Whitney members were most often seen and mingled with other humans.

Tall buildings began to look to replace the vacant land that we passed before, people were seen walking in a hurry to their respective destinations and several others were busy with their phones.

"Right turn, Dave," Emily said suddenly.

Dave complied and immediately turned around without saying anything. Malcolm, who was next to her, was silent and still looked at the window beside her.

"Red light later, we turn left."

"Hm."

Dave turned back and drove his car faster, the streets here were not too crowded and began to be quiet with people, there were only a few medium-sized buildings and some ordinary shops.

The man stopped his car when he got to a bakery. We got out of the car and walked into a store filled with several tables and counters containing a wide variety of typical-smelling bread.

"Welcome to our store" said someone suddenly in a deep tone. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

I turned towards the source of the voice and saw a girl with an apron covering the blue canal of water staring at me with a small smile engraved on her lips. "Can we meet the owner of this shop?"

He grimaced a little and looked at us one by one. "I'm the owner, what is it?"

"It's about your leader, leech."

The girl's smile slowly faded and then frowned at us. "Whitney?" tanyanya. "You werewolves?"

We nodded.

"Ah... is it time?" he asked rhetorically and looked at us again. "Please sit down and grab some bread you want, I'll call the others."

"Wait."

The girl stopped her steps and looked back at us. "Yes?"

"Can we go there?" ask me directly and hastily connect. "Efforts are quickly completed and we do not interfere with your shop activities."

He smiled and then nodded. "Alright, follow me."

Me and the others immediately followed the girl who walked in through one of the kitchen doors, deserted and not seen a single person. He led us out of there and into another door into a simple-looking house.

"Joan?"

"Gilbert," the girl looked back at a guy who was staring at us in confusion. "We have a guest, where are the others?"

The guy was silent for a while to look at the girl, glanced briefly at us then looked at the girl again. "They just left for hunting."

Joan took a slow breath. "Alright, that means it's just the two of us here," he turned his head towards us. "Is it no problem?"

I'm nodding. "It's okay," said Dave.

"Sit down, you want a drink?" the tananya is friendly while opening her apron.

"No, just go ahead."

There was a groaning sound from Malcolm after he was elbowed by Emily who was sitting next to him. Joan laughed at this and walked over to sit next to Gilbert, seemingly shutting her mouth, unable to hide her smile.

"I'm sorry, just this time I saw something like that. Are you guys new?"

I turned to Emily and saw her grimacing while nodding her head. "We are among the youngest members, yourselves?"

"Gilbert and I-including the others-are old members, there's nothing new here" he said, smiling wistfully. "So, what do you want to talk about?"

"We want to make peace with your people and end the misunderstandings that happened first," I said slowly and then took out the scroll and the urn from my bag. "This is their burning letters and ashes."

Joan nodded in understanding and accepted both of those things. He carefully held the jar and opened the scroll to begin reading with Gilbert.

"You got a pen?"

I nodded then immediately handed the pen to him. He and Gilbert immediately put a signature on the scroll and bit one of their fingers to attach a small amount of blood as proof of the agreement.

I re-opened my bag to grab the exact same scroll and did the same thing as them, Dave moved next to me and followed.

Joan extended her hand towards me afterwards, carving a small smile on her lips. "Peace?"

"Peace," I returned his post and smiled.
