"Isn't that weird?"

Chloe was still lying on her bed staring at the ceiling, still clueless with the Alpha minds of those other regions letting them off just like that. At the very least, their flock should be immediately expelled from the restaurant instead of letting them enjoy the food like the usual guests.

"No need to think about it" Grace said, preparing for bed. "In addition they treat us as usual when we go home, our flock just needs to listen to the prohibition not to come anymore."

"But this is weird. He didn't even pass the ban directly on us."

"Like ultimatums?" With an ultimatum from an Alpha, the prohibition, rule or order mentioned will be absolute that can not be violated or revoked by anyone.

The girl nodded. "There is no "letter of covenant either. Alpha is not really a calculation. I have to tell Allison she won't be like that one day."

"That means we can still go to that restaurant?"

Grace shakes. "Of course not, our flock still has to respect the words of the Alpha intermediary. Let alone us making a mistake from this situation."

"It's a pity that their cooking is really delicious."

The girl sighed. "true."

He really enjoyed the food, not even bothering with Theo's shrill voice while imitating a rock singer. Other members who were initially still tense after Lilian left, in the end also relaxed after eating the dishes served. They all really enjoyed the restaurant.

"Should we ask for the recipe? It'll be good for our food."

"Sleep, Theo."

Theo turned his head back towards Grace who was next to him, ignoring the words of her brother. "You'd agree, wouldn't you, Grace? Or we make the recipe according to what we tried just now, like you tried to do at that time."

"Just sleep there."

The man grieved at his words.

"What?"

"Yes, I'm sleeping."

.

Their activities passed as usual. After making breakfast and eating with the other members, Grace peeked at Hans who was taking a special class with Wayne and Allison. Ever since Emily's mate came along, Chloe decided to create a special class that would discuss the ins and outs of werewolves with them as her student.

The girl looked at Hans who was following her class seriously, his face while concentrating looked twice as handsome as usual. She really likes it.

"My sister's face can vanish if you look at her that way, Grace."

Grace cleared her throat, looked at the figure that had just come and stood beside her. "Why are you here? No rehearsal?"

"I want to look at Wayne."

"Your mate's not going anywhere."

Emily raised her eyebrows. "Hans isn't going anywhere either, but you see him every hour."

"I'm just giving him the attention of being a good brother."

The girl looked at him as if she was already insane, but did not say anything in return.

How else, Grace could barely return the girl's words. Emily's actions are still reasonable because they are mate, but what about her and Hans? No one but fellow members of the herd.

He clenched his hands, suddenly feeling frustrated. Fucking mate.

"I'm first."

The girl immediately turned away without waiting for a reply from Emily. His heart pounded violently, ignoring the gazes of the other members who saw him walking quickly and only caring about his desire to let go of the distress he felt.

Grace started running in the forest and soon changed shape and escaped to her four legs smoothly through the surrounding trees. He felt the wind blowing through his thick nightly feathers and his muscles moving like flowing water.

If in this form, the girl does not have to worry about someone or something stopping her. After all, his family was the strongest candidate to become an Alpha after the Allison family, so naturally he was among the strongest werewolves besides his two younger siblings and Chloe. He felt he did not need to practice anymore like other members in order to achieve excellent physicality before and after his transformation.

The drawback of the transformation is only one, the instinct that tells the existence of his mate as if dead, never functioned even for three years after the change in its form.

During the first year, he only thought if the prospective partner in his life was still not through the stage of changing form, he just thought, but a year passed like a breath and until now he also still did not feel or dream of his existence at all.

Grace thought her mate was dead, but she never felt the pain almost as much as Chloe did a few years ago. The thought of the existence of the mysterious figure haunted him for more than two years. He could not help but think about it when he saw the other members slowly finding their respective mates.

As long as it went on, he looked like an undead in the morning thinking about it every night. His two cuckoo siblings even paid attention to comfort him, distracting him by dueling during practice time and giving him a lot of work so that he gets tired quickly.

Chloe looked at him who was busy drying the clothes of the herd members she had just washed. Grace did almost all the homework all day and kept dueling with the other members, but the girl did not look tired at all.

"No."

To be honest, she felt so fresh that she didn't mind doing anything, even cleaning the whole house, but Chloe stopped her and told her to finish the laundry. After that they finally never stopped him again and allowed him to do whatever he wanted as long as it did not carry a grim aura in the herd.

Her daily life changes since Hans' arrival, when seeing and hearing Emily's brother's unexpected situation, her despair magically subsides. The girl thought that maybe the guy was her prospective mate who never felt his existence.

How could he think like that?

Hans is three years younger than him, vampire poison hinders his connection and change to werewolf during his disappearance and more importantly of the two things ... the guy also can not feel the existence of his mate like himself. The truth about his mysterious mate will be proven when Hans is cleared of vampire venom and begins to sense the existence of his mate that he might be.

"Don't expect too much, Grace." Chloe warns him as the girl recounts her conjecture. "If it wasn't him, you would have been ruined."

"I'm sure. Who else but him, Clo? There's nothing else."

"What about the werewolves of the other herd?"

"Who? We never even met another herd after we locked ourselves away."

"Malcolm?" The girl reminded her sister of her situation. "His mate was in another herd."

Grace ruffled her hair. "Did you forget? I can't feel the existence of my mate, I can't at all. He can still."

Chloe sighed, she did not know what to do for the girl so as not to be reckless. They were talking about someone who had not even returned for long and had begun to adapt to living in the herd. It's pretty risky both for that guy and Grace.

"All right then. Please don't overdo it, he's still younger than you."

"I know."

Since that conversation, he had started approaching Hans slowly, until now.

He believes his efforts will certainly produce good things, but once he heard Emily's words, he suddenly felt his efforts had indeed become futile. It's been almost four months. Grace knows that vampire poison is no longer present in Hans, the boy's transformation is imminent, should she start replying to his gestures or showing that they mate with each other.

The reality is not so.

Hans already knows. Grace also knew that the guy was not her mate.

Effortless.

.

"Wanna go to the restaurant?"

Bram on duty asked Stefan who had just passed the security post.

The guy nodded. "You want something nitip? Meat pie? A hamburger?"

"The meat pie."

"OKAY. Cut out of pocket money next month or pay now?"

"Pay now." He reached into his pants pocket to pay. "Free coffee, right?"

Stefan shook his head, smiling slightly as he extended his hand again. The grouchy guy in front of him looks unhappy, but in the end still gives up the money.

"Return for restaurant tips. Doesn't matter, does it?"

Bram nodded, indeed what other choice could he make towards the speech of the leader of his own herd. "Thank you."

"Together." Stefan suddenly turned his head back when he forgot to say something. "Lilian will deliver it to you, Bram!"

The man could see a face that was red from afar. Mate's sister is so funny. Although his face was always sour in front of others, but once faced with 'Lilian' the guy's face would be softer or flushed as he saw it.

Lilian was not aware of the change, but her sister sometimes also was softer and a little more cheerful to the guy that it did not invite temptation from one direction. Some members of the herd sometimes tease them when seen in the same place, making both misbehavior. Well, she's grateful that she knew her sister's mate.

Stefan was almost at the restaurant when he felt something very fast approaching him. Both of his eyes were focused on one dark figure that grew longer looking like a pitch-black wolf that instantly hit him unavoidably.

"What"

Speech ceased. He looked at the figure of the wolf body that had befallen him slowly turning into a human. The guy was fixated, his tongue was twisted as his heart started pounding as hard as the girl lying on top of him.
