Grace tried to look calm as she sat facing Chloe. The girl in the hole was intimidating, even with Allison beside her. The alpha of their flock seemed to want to encourage her, but because of Chloe's gaze, the girl instead avoided her gaze.
Their daily activities were temporarily halted. The other members are now all around them to listen to what the girl wants to say. Dave sat down beside her to stand by her. They look like a pair of parents and children in front of the principal and homeroom teacher.
"You all know how the punishment for offences is on the territory's edge, right?"
They all nodded.
The border region is a sensitive thing that indirectly shows the identity of the herd of werewolves who are guardians. However, a definite law for any territorial border is a prohibition on another herd entering the territory of another herd without permission. If violated, the herd is required to pay their deeds to the herd in question.
Twice the herd has broken. The first time they came to the restaurant and the second was Grace who was found unconscious at the same restaurant. Both are done without permission, plus, Chloe finds out the girl is running aimlessly and ends up in the place she was supposed to be avoiding.
It is an offense that will sound demeaning to members of the herd, especially to the leader of the herd. Chloe did not believe that the sister of the leader of the herd could let what Grace had said just like that. However, they must pay for their irresponsible actions.
"Grace.." -...."
The girl stiffened a little as her name was called.
"Me and you will be the representatives of our flock."
Some members of the herd looked surprised, the girl too, they thought that only Grace would be responsible for this incident. On the other hand, Allison and Dave did not look surprised, it seemed like the three of them had a chance to talk about this before he was picked up.
"It's not fair that only Grace bears it all, so I'm going to go with her" she said. "I am also guilty of not knowing the location of the other herd and preventing this from happening."
"Me and Dave will be in charge here to replace Chloe. There will be no replacement activities, so we will do the activities as usual."
"I want to come."
Grace turned towards a familiar voice. Hans looked at him for a moment before returning to speak. "I also want to take responsibility for this."
Looks like she already knows what Emily said to the girl. He felt touched and a little sad, someone who would become the mate of that guy would be very lucky.
"Ughs. I'm also." Emily speaking. "I will take responsibility for what I did that caused today."
The girl can see the sad looking Wayne next to Emily. If Hans's brother is coming along, they'll have to be temporarily separated because that guy isn't a werewolf.
"Who said it was you?" Grace looked at Emily who returned her gaze, she smiled mockingly. "I never told you this was because of what you did."
Chloe instantly cut in before the girl could reply. "Right, it wasn't your fault, Emily." The girl turned to Hans. "Hans, you didn't do anything wrong so have to come with us."
"But-"
"You should keep practicing with me and Allison, Hans. The time for your transformation is near."
Grace looked at Hans as her sister did. "Dave's right. Chloe and I can't teach you. My brother is one of the best coaches around, so you don't have to worry about anything else and just focus on your transformation."
Chloe nodded, agreeing to his words. He said the two men who would replace him taught the would-be werewolves and broke up their meeting.
After this, they would contact Lilian and, if the results went smoothly, they would meet the representatives of the herd to discuss the matter further.
.
"Hm, you guys talking about me?"
Bram feels stiff next to him, from the beginning the guy can not pretend in front of anyone. Lilian could not blame him so she immediately shook her head and spoke.
"No, Uncle. I was hoping that summer would end soon so that the mosquitoes could disappear." He showed his arm which displayed some red spots on the surface of his skin. "Look, they've been poking at me a lot."
"Geez, that's a lot. You don't have any ointment?"
The girl came back. "It's still home, I forgot to take it."
His uncle immediately reached into his pants pocket and held out a thin tube to him. "Wear it."
"Thank you, Uncle!"
Uncle smiled. He looked around before speaking again. "Where's your brother? I haven't seen him lately."
"Ah. She went somewhere, I don't know where either. .. Brother didn't tell me."
"So .. fine." He patted his shoulders understand before staring at Bram at a glance, smiling mischievously. "I'd better get going so you guys can have some fun."
"Uncle, it's not so!"
His uncle's laughter rang out, he was seen again walking towards the housing of their herd.
"Sorry...."
Lilian grabbed Bram's hand and held it, her other hand gently patting their intertwined hand. "It's okay, Bram. I can do this because I'm with you."
He smiled at the still guilty man, the color returning to his face slowly.
"Are you okay?"
The girl nodded.
At first it was difficult to see his uncle's attitude that remained as usual even though he had seen his uncle doing things that he could not imagine. His excellent and pleasant uncle turned out to be just a mask of something rotten. Lilian couldn't help but be petty, but now, she was able to adapt and follow her uncle's way quite well.
His phone felt shaky in his pocket. There's message.
Lilian read the message before contacting her brother. "Brother where? We should meet."
.
The restaurant had looked quiet, the sky had darkened as well, their guests had already left from a few minutes ago so what was left was some staff who got a noon picket. Lilian and Bram enter the herd's workplace to meet her brother.
"Lilly!" Someone greeted him with a warm hug. "It's been a long time since I've met my sweet little sister."
"Down my sister."
"Don't touch, Lily."
Two men immediately protested the actions of someone who hugged him.
"Finn." The girl chuckled softly, returning her embrace. This person's embrace was always comfortable so she didn't mind at all, in contrast to what her brother and Bram had asked for.
"Why? You envious?" ask the guy with a much bigger body when compared to the two of them. "Eat him you should reduce muscle training to feel more tender like me. Isn't that right, Lilian?"
Lilian nodded. "Finn is so tender."
The guy laughed. "Listen to your brother, Stefan. You too, Bram. Ohok!"
"It's been a joke, Finn."
A cold and beautiful woman approached them. The look on his face turned softer when he looked at Lilian. "Hello, Lily."
"Hello, Iris." He smiled, receiving a hug from mate Finn who looked a hundred and eighty degrees different from his partner. Even so, the warm impression of their embrace was not much different.
"Well! Look at that, you just want to take advantage of the situation."
Iris cleared her throat. "I just want to give him a hug."
Some senior members who had been out of sight for a few days also greeted him and Bram. They were busy working in several other places as long as the young members took care of the restaurant, ranging from office work to heavy work, tomorrow they already had to go back away so that the time they met was not long.
"What message is there?"
His sister asked after they finished cleaning all the equipment and clean up. Currently they were gathered in the rest room of the kitchen staff with some snacks and drinks.
"Oh, yeah. What message is that?"
They all looked at him curiously. Lilian took a breath. "The herds .. they want to be held responsible for border violations."
"Aren't we in agreement that it's forgotten? They just don't have to visit our territory anymore."
The girl shook her head. "They insist on accountability."
"It's so stubborn."
Lilian nodded. He also did not understand the reason the herd behaved like this, they should be grateful with the easiest and least harmful solution for both parties.
"They asked to meet to talk about this tomorrow. How better, brother?"
"What's the name of their deputy?"
"Chloe and Grace."
Stefan let out a long sigh when he heard the name of someone he should avoid that.
